2:30 I like to imagine that Galvatron is so batshit insane that he made a functioning gun out of parts that was ment to be something harmless. Like Galvatron is part Warhammer 40K Ork or something.
I always thought it would be cool in this episode if they had some kind of treatment that unlocked Megatron's mind. Like if Galvatron spoke and thought like Megatron. Even if it was just for the episode that would have been cool.
Yeah very cool idea. Would have been cool if that happened when those insects invaded/penetrated his mind and connected it to the planet ! Or other the planet entering it's mind and then indeed we would hear a reminent of megatron's voice perhaps somewhat distorted/vague like we hear our own voice inside our mind /head! ;) :)
Every so often you could hear a little of Megatron when Galvatron was being a little less...shrill. I always liked this episodes and even though it wasn't a total success, Galvatron was partially cured by the end
He was cured the only thing that remained mangled was his voice . The plan was to be a final solution, and he was influenced by vector sigma to carry it out. Even Megatron knows not to doubt Vector Sigma, even though he was a pawn in the end.
I remember this was the saddest episode of G1 I have ever watched. And one of the few from season 3 I liked, but so sad. Because I saw that Megatron was truly dead, lost to madness. He's just a shell of his former self now. :(
+Felix Brown: The show jumped the shark the moment season 3 started, with Optimus Prime replaced with the whiny Rodimus, and Megatron replaced with...this. Not much of a foundation to work with. Plus, many of the characters from the first 2 seasons were either killed in the movie of simply disappeared, replaced with new product that we are asked to care about.
Many people assume that Galvatron was the problem the season was bad. It was not, unlike vocal opinion there are many people who find Galvatron in his mad state to have been a better character than the saturday cartoon villain that was Megatron. On the Rodimous comment I have your back 100%. The actual problem that the show lost its feel and tanked was that it became star wars. They were cramping alien races, other planets, and a shit ton of new characters with completely 'alien' characteristics to what it was already an earth bound foundation. That is what made the show to tank. You could hardly explain what you were seeing anymore and WTF is that thing this char transforms to.
John Paul While we have to agree to disagree with the first paragraph, the second one is ON POINT. In fact, if you break it down, The Transformers The Movie was the Transformers version of Star Wars. People talk about how Starchaser: Legend of Orin bit Star Wars hard, but TtM really took a shark-sized bite out of it. (Unicron=Death Star, Hot Rod/imus=Luke, Arcee=Leia, Mega/Galvatron=Anakin/Vader, "May The Force Be With You"="Til All Are One"...I could go on for hours!)
The Decepticons would've been better off if they had never searched for galvatron on that Lava Planet after the movie. Asking the Junkions to rebuild a new body for starscream that his "ghost spark" could use. That would have given them a much better leader.
+kstanni87 SS was in the crypt. They did not know his ghost was still around. They also did not know Galvatron was mad, either. It was Cyclonus' blind loyalty to Galva, that they were trying to find him. Remember the 5 part 5 faces of darkness?
+kstanni87 Exactly. Season 3 Galvatron is every bit the bumbling dolt that Starscream was. He is one of the reasons why I couldn't stomach Season 3 (The others being the whiney Autobot leader that we were asked to 'relate' to, and the shit animation from AKOM).
The show was unfortunately cancelled just as both Optimus Prime returned and Galvatron gained shades of his saner Megatron self. Not to mention Starscream being fully alive again and not returning afterwards.
And yet for all his instability he was the strongest of them all and after he regained his sanity was just a step away from finishing the war with the decepticons victorious.

There's actually a solid reason behind why Cyclonus and Scourge are loyal to Galvatron. Because they both know Galvatron is too messed up in the head. "I hate Cyclonus!" I could imagine that Cyclonus's response to that would be "But mighty Galvatron, I'm only trying to help you!"
Galvatron or what I refer to him as the unstable Megatron. Galvatron was a monster and Megatron was an precise tactician. This episode was amazing the level of violence he displayed was incredible. Unicorn creations can't be destroyed.
2:19 one of the inmate escaped started posing as the staff and said it be a good idea to give the inmate parts to build A FUNCTIONAL HAND GUNS WHO THE HELL'S IDEA WAS THIS HE SHOULD BE FIRED WHAT COULD GET GALVATRON A 300 PIECE LEGO SET
also I expect movie optimus to be checking in here soon were going to give him the parts to build a rpg styled minigun
Optimus would build a jetpack.. he *always* builds jetpacks....
Oh really? *I slaughtered three alternate versions of Optimus Prime and every one of the Shattered Glass Autobots with my bare hands, all in ONE DAY.*
2:30 I like to imagine that Galvatron is so batshit insane that he made a functioning gun out of parts that was ment to be something harmless. Like Galvatron is part Warhammer 40K Ork or something.
He builds a gun in arts and crafts. Lol. And he was so happy with it.
"I'm not beaten. Galvatron cannot be beaten!!!!" I like that motivation
assembles a gun as therapy...has a giant gun on his arm.
Me when I got a 10 hour stay in detention: 2:38
He was?
+JAS PITT so that's why he tried to destroy Cybertron by moving it to the sun I. rebirth yeah that's so cured
He was cured the only thing that remained mangled was his voice
. The plan was to be a final solution, and he was influenced by vector sigma to carry it out. Even Megatron knows not to doubt Vector Sigma, even though he was a pawn in the end.
Galvatron’s insanity was a huge highlight post movie
You wanna scream?? I'll give you something to scream about!! He was tough, but Galvatron loved, too.
The reason why galvatron has brain damage and can barely remember his megatron counterpart is because of Rodamus in the movie at the end of the fight
I think he knew who he used to be everybody knew cept cyclonus and scourge since they were created after galvatron
I wish I had the ability to make a laser gun out of random pieces of scrap
I love the idea that someone in the facility is leaving the patients with parts they could potentially build GUNS out of.
2:32- "oh yeah, i'll get this to work... and then i'll show them what... what this is... (mumbling and heavy-breathing) *...LET ME OUT OF HERE!!!"*
I remember this was the saddest episode of G1 I have ever watched. And one of the few from season 3 I liked, but so sad. Because I saw that Megatron was truly dead, lost to madness. He's just a shell of his former self now. :(
Yep. Galvatron was basically committed to an insane asylum. This, in my opinion, is when the show jumped the shark.
The show jumped the shark when they had Galvatron return.
What about the episode with the hypnotic dance club?
He was so insane that when the mental hospital planet tried to interface with his processor, he broke it.
Megatron: Wakes up and chooses violence.
Galvatron: “There is no slumber, there is no choice… only violence.”
One of the better animated episodes of Season 3.
1:20, the first known example in the Transformers canon of DULL SURPRISE!
When did he regain his sanity?
Poor Megatron, reduced to this mental state, even in a stronger form.
I simultaneously can and can not believe this was a real episode.
Galvatron : "You deceive me!!"
Wow.. really? Mighty galvatron surprised to be deceived by his decepticon?
"So Galvatron, where did your problems start?"
"It all started after I crashed into the human city of Tokyo..."
We don't talk about...'That'...Event...
@@murilopenagoncalves3831 I mean, it's probably what drove the Japanese Galvatron bonkers.
@@theultimatememelord5494 Galvatron became insane. Hot Rod got depression. I kinda like some parts of Kiss Players (please don't judge), but one should be careful when treading there.
It all started… WHEN I WAS BORN.
i love the idea that Galvatron is batshit crazy but also some kind of savant genius who can make a working gun out of some psychological therapy blocks
See this is the glavatron we needed in the movies. They need to make more movies based off the G1 timeline
best part here is when he shoots everything after assembling the gun. lol
Normally a calculating maniac turned into a rabid maniac should not be approved to not ruin the evil coming from the great villain, but in this case... it is entertaining to watch mighty Galvatron yelling and attacking EVERYONE like a complete lunatic.
And i thought the dinosaur was the first incarnation of "YES"
I wish Galvatron could foam at the mouth.
Oh, that'll be greaaaat. >:)
He does in the comics.
To be honest as much as I understand that G1 is iconic and always will be but after the movie you start to notice that the series started to go downhill when Galvatron lost his sanity. Nothing against Frank Welker, he actually was pretty good.
“I hate the Autobots! I hate Cyclonus! And I’m not very fond of you!!!” -Galvatron
Why Galvatron always after Ultra Magnus? shouldn't he be after Rodimus prime?
Maybe it's because Ultra Magnus looks so similar to Optimus.
Because Ultramagnus was actually somebody before Prime got killed.
1) Because before he went insane UM was the leader of the Autobots.
2) Because he cant stand his killed victims coming back to life
3) Rodimus is a wimp and he needs a worthy oponent.
4) All of the above
Take your pick :D
Because rodimus kinda help him kill optimus plus rodimus don't do anything
Just goes to show how useless rodimus was to the series.
I literally feel like Galvatron in reaction to seeing MLP, FNAF, Undertale and Steven Universe shit everywhere I go.
"Kill...smash...destroy...rend...mangle...DISTORT!"
"I AM YOUR DESTRUCTION!"
+Sergeant Sunflower I feel like that about the radio at the moment, they just won't play my favourite song!
I repeat this mantra when I exterminate bugs in my house.
And let's not start on the other fandoms that are out of control...
I would never bring up the Sonic fandom because unlike the ones I've mentioned, they're not everywhere I go, and I respect them for that.
You’d go crazy too if you faced the reality that you just got thrown by Rodimus Prime
This episode was definitely one of the best. But I was hoping that when the one ape dude said it would "cure him of being Galvatron" I thought they were going to turn him back into Megatron or something. that would be cool. but then I saw they were gonna kill him and I went NOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Honestly, if he did die, I would be SO upset. If he turned back into Megatron, I'd be like, OH COOL!
@@frozarburst6350 So, Super Megatron/Megatron 2.0
imagine if soundwave was here to help...
Mf would make Galvatron crazier by supporting him.
Listening to TV G1 Galvatron is like listening to a crazy version of Fred from Scooby Doo who suffers from brain damage.
Watching this back, it amaze me that Frank welker did a different voice for Galvatron despite being an upgraded Megatron
Two months of this and he'll be volunteering at a local food bank.
Love Galvatron. Megatron but Insane. THe art is so good.
Galvatron just needed to kick back a few energon cubes and sleep it off.
Poor Cyclonus. Loyalty doesn't prevent him from getting beaten up XD
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest...and then destroyed it.
Classic.
There's actually a solid reason behind why Cyclonus and Scourge are loyal to Galvatron.
Because they both know Galvatron is too messed up in the head. It's like as though they had memories of what their past selves were like when Megatron was still himself.
For therapy, I would've recommended smashing Galvatron in the head, opening it up and fixing the internal damage 😂
i love how the alien was so sinstrer when its was like why we are going to begin his...treatment
pretty subtle for G1 LOL
Y’all are forgetting the plasma pool he was found in after tidings threw him into space at the end of the movie. The pools damaged him. Thats why he is insane… given his power had he still possessed his tactical knowledge when he was megaton… the autobots would’ve lost. Without Optimus the autobots lost there abilities to win against all odds.
Welker’s blood pressure must have been 200/150 when performing this role. Surprised he didn’t have a stroke. lol
Galvatron been listening to death metal and gangster rap
@Dauda András whatever you say
