I have done this upgrade to a non us spec hummer. It does require a bit of electrical splicing (even if you buy US headlights and harness as the main harness on the vehicle side has different outputs) I had to create a wiring diagram of both the US spec and EU spec harness and then come up with a new wiring layout using splices on the new US harness. I’m also about to do the same with the LED tail lights as they are US spec.
That's awesome to hear! Yeah I figured there would be some modifications involved for the Euro spec. If you still have the wiring diagrams, it would be cool if you make a forum post write up about it on hummer4x4offroad.com to help out other owners. That way when people google it, the forum page will come up. Also, yeah for the LED tail lights you are going to need to combine your turn signal function and brake light function into a single function to get them to work like they are on the US version.
That's awesome! 😀Those new sequential style ones are awesome! At the time I made this video, those hadn't came out yet. In the future it would be cool to do an update video talking about them.
Very thankful for all the content this is one of the most helpful channels for h3 modification on TH-cam I’m working on getting my h3 running over the next few weeks and am excited that it will be my first car this has made it 10x more exciting so thank you very much for what you do
Great detailed video!! When you removed the light out of the turn signal, i noticed you had replaced it with a LED bulb....Do you have to take the whole assembly apart to change out just the bulb?
thanks for the great videos. Just got an 06 H3 Adventure Package 5speed manual. I'm in love! Your videos are the best I've found for tutorials and ideas!
hi...in this video you talk about the switchback bulb...I like the idea of the white running lights and the amber turn signal...how would that work with the IPCW 346 if it already comes with the LED lights?
Those 3157 switchback bulbs would only be for the IPCW CWC-346C and the IPCW CWC-346S which are the reflector version. These reflector versions use a standard 3157 bulb instead of little individual LEDs, so you would be able to use that switchback bulb. When I was talking about those 3157 LED bulbs, I was referring to the reflector versions only. These 3157 bulbs would not work if you bought the LED version which is the IPCW LEDC-346C and IPCW LEDC-346S.
I did this upgrade also. I appreciate your video it helped a lot. However mine occasionally don't turn on. Apparently the led bulbs don't draw enough from the electrical circuit and the result is that the cpu turns it off. I also put in new sidemarker lights as well, wondering if the switch to led on thos is the reason I've got such a low draw. Anyone have suggestions on a more permanent fix? I was told by a mechanic who checked it out that more resistors inside the lights would help. However I don't know how to do that.
Hello 👋 Is it possible to put a h3 5 cylinders 09-10 front differential to a H3t alpha ? I have a hummer H3T alpha 2010 and my front differential doesn’t work any more, what can I do to fix my problem? I tried on looking for all the parts of the differential and fix it but I couldn’t find all of them , and I was looking to put a front differential from a H3 5 cylinders but i don’t know if that’s possible, what can I do in my case?
Thanks so much. Great and very detailed video :) I just want to add that especially in european countries certain extra limitations to the lights have to be considered as all light need to be certified in order to pass the local test "TÜV". Greetings from Germany
Thanks for watching! Yep! Lately I have been trying to more info about Euro spec H3s to give H3 owners outside the US a heads up before trying to do the install. Yeah I know Germany has some pretty strict laws about car modifications. Here in the United States, laws are a lot more relaxed. You generally can do almost any modification you want besides adding red and blue police lights to your vehicle.
What site are you buying the 7 inch head lights and adapters, fog lights and Turn signals and rear tail lights I have ordered several from Amazon that said they were for a 2006 H3 but when they arrived they weren’t! I love your videos make it easy to do the work so now I need to buy the new ones! New H3 owner and excited
Hi, please do a video regarding body controler modular.. If you can tell how to install new security system & new remote controls for hummer H3..Thank you..
Yes you will need to add a load resistor to your turn signals. If you replaced all of your turn signals, I am guessing the rear tail light LEDs are the ones that are causing you issues. The front turn signals shouldn't need load resistors because they seem to draw enough power and they don't flash fast when I installed them. Look up on TH-cam "How To Install a Load Resistor". There is a great video showing you how to install them by a channel called Headlight Revolution.
I got them on Amazon. They are Xprite 4in Jeep foglights. You can find them on amazon. But it in order to get them to fit, you need the lased designs adapter. I have a tutorial on how to install these 4in foglights already on the channel.
@@NavyChiefEWC Nice! I bought those as well. In order to actually use the dynamic feature on them you are gonna have to wire them to your turn signals instead of using your side marker lights. The people who made them really don't understand the H3 that well. If you just plug them into the parking lights, the only time you will see the dynamic feature is when you first turn them on. Then for the rest of the time, they will just stay lit normally. The only downside however by using them as turn signals is you are now unable to use them as side marker lights so that decision will be up to you.
Your videos are great, I did the same LED turn signals and this video made it very easy. I seen in your body lift video you have an after market light bar on the roof. Would you happen to have footage of that swap? I have the original orange roof marker lights and wanting to improve the look.
Thanks! Glad they were useful! Are you referring to the gray plastic trim piece with the 2 offroad lights on it? If so that is actually an OEM accessory. These OEM offroad lights are actually really hard to come by and when you do, they sell at a premium (Originally they were $300 new, but can sell used for $1000 now). If you are referring to the lights above that, (The 3 led bars) those are actually mounted using the roof rack. UnfortunatelyI don't have any video footage of either. Making the swap from the OEM orange roof marker lights to the OEM offroad lights is pretty simple from a mounting standpoint. They use the exact same preexisting threads so they can be swapped out quickly. The only thing is that you will need to wire a switch to be able to turn them on or off.
@@4lowmode Yes you're right! Thanks! I'm pretty sure that my turn signals are going too fast in comparison with yours. Should I change the flasher so I don’t have any problems? Do you know the part number? Thank you once again.
@@fabianblast If your turn signals are blinking really fast that means you might have a bulb out. Make sure both your parking lights and turn signals in the front and back are working properly. If they are, have you installed new LED bulbs? If you have, they might be causing the problem and you can fix that by adding a load resistor.
Are you referring to the 2006 H3 in the video? Or my Grey Alpha? The black one just has the OEM H3 cross bars and my Grey Alpha has a Gobi Stealth Roof Rack W/ Sunroof Cut Out.
Hey really nice and well made videos you do. You defenitly gained a subscriber here. Anyways im looking to buy an H3 myself but im hearing the 3.5 had alot of issues with valves and just the engine in general. Most say this was fixed with the 3.7. I have zero experience with this so I would like to get your opinion on it please.
Hey there! So yes there were some early models 2006 H3s that had these valve problems, but this was resolved very quickly during the 2006 Model year. So basically I would reccomend staying away from very early model H3s, but you should be fine if you decide to buy a later model 2006. There is actually a very easy way to tell them apart just by looking at pictures. The way how you can tell is looking at where the GM mark of excellence badge is placed on the H3. This GM badge is a 1in x 1in chrome badge that says "GM" on it. So on the early model H3s, this badge will be on the bottom of the front door on the H3, right next to the H3 badge. On the later 2006 model years and above, this badge is placed on side quarter panel of the H3, next to the front fender flare. So if you find a good deal on a later model 2006 H3, you can go for it. That being said, you will get a little more power if you decide to go with the 3.7L. The 3.7L has 242 HP instead of 220HP from the 3.5L. Also there is a V8 5.3L version of the H3 called the Alpha if you are interested in more power. Hope this helps! If you find an H3 you like for sale, you can DM me more on Instagram @acer4lo and I can tell you all the specs of it as well as what factory options and accessories it has.

These aftermarket turn signals have been on the market for a number of years have a received mostly positive feedback. I haven't heard many problems with moisture/condensation. It looks like the IPCW LED series is back on Amazon so if you type in "Hummer H3 IPCW" on Amazon right now, you can read some of the reviews for both the smoked and clear versions.
