Good video. Im 68 and had many snares thru my life. All with snare beds. Slingerland, etc. Now i have "crush" drums and NO snare bed. Sounds like shit no matter what i do. I must now sand a snare bed. I do not like sloppy snares, must be short and crisp sounding . 🎶🎸🎼

what is the use of doing that (snare beds)? will it serve to eliminate the snare buzz?

Man, those drums are so cheap, you can literally pick them up10-20 and avoid the massive headache cutting one down would cause. Cutting one of these steel shells is a bear and not something I would be interested in messing with.

Hey man, do U know if U can modify an steel snare? I own a cheap 6.5 by 14 steel snare that I would like to like experiment with it. I would like it to be cut as a 5by14.
