OMGGGGG that is the best lasagna I have ever seen and I don’t even eat it like that!! Gotta try 😋😋😋😋 and I also have a request … could you do some butternut squash spaghetti 🍝 I KNOW YOU WOULD DO AMAZING WITH IT
Thanks for the video. I'm looking forward to trying your lasagna. I know that it's delicious. Lasagna is one of my all time favorite dishes. Nice to see your pups. I pray the LORD GOD Blessings to you & your family.
That looks so good1 Some of those garlic butter breadsticks would pair well with that. I have never put cream cheese in my lasagna. Just may have to try.
YUM!! Well, now that my mouth is watering, and I have NO ingredients in the house...well you get it...THIS is going to be my new go-to recipe for lasagna. I could almost smell that sauce cooking and it made me really hungry. Thank you so much for sharing the whole process, from beginning to end, with us! Once I try it I'll be back to let you know how much I shared with my son...;)
🤤 I've a tip for the acidity in tomato sauce. Add 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda. It's a typical Italian hack for acidic homemade tomato sauce. It will foam up and look cloudy/whitish but it's normal as that means the acidity is cutting down. Add a pinch more if it's still too acidic but don't overdue it.
Hey sam I want to make this Lasagna recipe for my family for Christmas but I am a family of three so I can cut the recipe in half ? Because if I make the whole one it will be too much. Thanks inadvance for you response.
So I made the baked lasagna. Two problems: it was very watery. is that normal? I used 80% meat and so had to drain the fat after cooking the meat. What would account for it being so runny? And do you have any tips? Also, it wasn’t tasty. That is to say, I didn’t feel like it had any taste. I put in all the seasonings that it called for. I don’t think the sugar was the issue. I just didn’t feel satiated. Any tips for that?
Hmm. Did you let your noodles dry before putting them in the dish? That could be the cause for it being watery. Or, sometimes this can happen if you cut into it right away; it's best to let it sit for several minutes before slicing. As far as the flavor goes, I'm not sure how it was bland if you followed the recipe. Did you make any substitutions or leave out any ingredients?
@@SugarSpunRun I did not make any substitutions and I dried out the noodles before laying them out in the casserole. But I only used 9 noodles (3x3) instead of the 12 (4x3) because my 13x9 casserole could not fit 4 noodles side by side. Could that be the reason? I let the casserole sit for about 45 to 50 minutes before cutting into it, but I could tell, even before cutting into it, that it was watery. Now I’m wondering if covid has affected my sense of taste. It appears to be a gradual thing; the other day, I tasted what appeared to be sour milk because I couldn’t get a strong whiff of the sourness (again, maybe covid-related?), and I could barely taste the sour milk. So maybe not the recipe but covid, darn it. Thank you for your quick reply. Now I’m going to try and make your simple and easy lemon pie. Surely I should be able to taste lemon, lol?
Good with that kind of garlic bread that's already made from the store. Because lord knows after going through that much work making this who wants to make bread...
Save a few cloves of minced garlic from the sauce. Add to a a stick of softened butter, 1/4 cup parmesan, salt and pepper to taste. Spread onto a loaf of ciabatta, baguette, Italian bread, or whatever bread you have. The $1 loaf that Wal Mart sells is fine. Add a dash of Italian seasoning or fresh parsley if you have it. Easy and better than frozen garlic bread.
Perfect!! I have been waiting for this!!🤗 Thank you!!

Hello and thank you for sharing all your recipes. I’ve noticed you use cast iron pots in your videos, what are the sizes? Thank you!
The dutch oven here is 5.5 quarts. :)
Looks so delicious!!
Thank you--it is!
Cute puppies so patient for there noodles lol
🤣

I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
Thank you!
Oh yeah. I’m liking this. You can easily adopt this to make a bolognese sauce as well. Now I have to make TWO lasagnas. Poor me. 😁
What a shame 😂 Enjoy!!

Sure thing! You’ll need a smaller dish and your bake time will change a bit. 😊
That bite of lasagna must have been hotter than two combined suns. Bet it tastes good, tho. Thanks for a the recipe, Sam.
It was definitely really hot! 🤣
how long are you going to time it for it

What olive oil do you use?
I like to use Terra Delyssa's organic olive oil. :)
Nice ! 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
Manga!
cloud you plant your garic
Can I just add an extra can of tomato sauce? My family won't eat diced tomatoes. 🙄
It may be a little runnier if you do but that could work. :)
if only i could eat beef! 😭😭😭
😞 you could leave it out.
👼🏻💖🌺
Can I see your dogs
Did you see them at the end of this video?
