Gotta give Krillin so much respect. We all know he wasn’t going to win, but he still gave it his all. And he showed off how cunning and skillful he truly is. Something we will see more of in the future.
Krillin's a real one. Whether it's OG, Z or Super, he knows he's not the best, he knows he's out of his league, but he still gets out there to do what he can.
The thing with raditz....is that basically unlike nappa and vegeta, raditz preffered to fight from a distance using underhanded tactics, while vegeta and nappa werent afraid to face things head on, hence why they both trained their tails to get rid of that weakness....meanwhile raditz didnt bother because of a combination of him being confident in his underhanded tactics. Its why nappa and vegeta kind of looked down on him.
This is one of my favorite fights in all of DragonBall. I'm a big fan of Pro Wrestling and Goku vs Krillin is like when we get two amazing tag team workers facing each other in a singles match. It just gets more hype from me.
Maybe it wasn't a crazy fight but every move was drawn in such detail. Clearly a lot of love wet into this, it makes it one of my favourite fights ever.
1:42 - 1:55 Young Krillin Owned Count: 70 (*ding*), 3:22 - 3:42 Young Krillin Owned Count: 71 (*ding*), 7:04 - 7:15 Young Krillin Owned Count: 72 (*ding*), 10:45 - 11:24 Young Krillin Owned Count: 73 (*ding*). This time, I just added the heavier hits to the counter; if added every hit Krillin took in the fight, we'd be close to 80. I also decided to count that punch, stomp combo, Goku used at the beginning, as one entry rather than two; because it felt to me like they were both part of the same move. Krillin's out of the tournament now, but that doesn't mean there won't be any more entries this arc; you never know what could happen.
@@oldmanjesus9855 Raditz had a tail weakness. The problem was that Raditz promised to leave earth and never come back so Goku let go of his tail. Vegeta mention something about only low class saiyans have tail weakness. I think its because they emphasize birth and genetic so much with saiyans that they just assume it was a weakness only weak people had and so they never bother to train it.
It did work but Raditz fooled goku into thinking he would change. Goku let go of his tail and then raditz stomped him which let gohan go mad@@oldmanjesus9855
Goku was obviously learning krilin's optimistic for later situation in tough fight when goku was on the underdog side. That is very useful. The different tho, krilin and other earthlings power are "static". So, no matter how much beating they got, it would stay the same. Mean while saiyan like goku, the more they got beaten up, the stronger they became.
Hi Melon I really liked this episode Goku and Krillin really gave it there all in this battle and it show just how much stronger they both have become And there still best friend at the end so good
If you recall grabbing the tail didn't work on Nappa or vegeta, Piccolo tried to grab it thinking it would work but they said only lower class saiyans have that deficiency. Then nappa proceeded to elbow drop piccolos skull 💀
@@AnimelonGoku figure it out how to overcome that weakness knowing the fact that it was tiresome to have his tail grab so many times and he took his adopted grandfather and his master advice to work on his tail
I mean, I dont see why Raditz would need to train his tail if he can look at 80% of the people in his universe a bit too much and they would suddenly explode into bits.
As a lower class warrior he was about as strong as the elite soldiers Frieza took with him to Namek. On a universal scale Raditz had to be in the top 5% of all sentient life.
Goku does have two weakness, his naive nature as his softness makes him a sedimental dope and the other is his overconfidence, as whis points out that Goku being too relaxed can be a bad thing that at times when Goku is so sure of himself that he won, he lets his guard down while Freiza points out that Goku is too strong for his own and it made him full of himself that he's almighty, only to get attack when least expected
This is one of the best fights in OG dragon ball. Too many ppl make the mistake that if you saw DBZ or Abridged first, judging OG dragon ball by future standards misses the point of what any of this is supposed to mean at the time this came out and the significance of its progression in the future. I.E. Goku and Piccolo teaming up to fight Raditz. That was just as big a deal as vegeta or frieza teaming up with goku their first time.
I assume Raditz never bothered to strengthen his tail because in his mind there are no warriors more powerful than Saiyans. Furthermore, who would actually figure out that weakness?
the guy knew Kiwi, Zarbon, Dodoria, the ginju force, Frieza and probably King Cold. Even as an oozaru all of them are stronger than Raditz except for maybe Guldo
You know how petty Toei is with copyright. Entire channels have been lost because Toei just woke up with a bad mood and decided to target random people's channels for having too long of a clip unedited.
@@ero-senninsama1734 how come aimin reacts gets away with it better then? And that is not just any scene That was a highlight She could have easily cut out other parts and put an important part in like this one.
Some reaction channels are perfectly fine with things up while others aren’t. TH-cam doesn’t run fairly and copyright runs differently constantly depending on the channel. I can’t include the entire fight, I apologize that one of your favorite scenes was cut out, but some things need to go and it may not be done perfectly.
it's a shame the series moved away from this style of choreaography, dont' get me wrong, i love z onwards, but the first series really shows off the level of skill behind the characters. for the future i recommend Samurai Jack, Steven Universe and The Owl House.
I use to love Goku when he was younger, but growing up has made me realize just how boring of a marie sue character Goku really is. He too simplistic and has no character growth or complexity. He's just destined to win every fight because the plot calls for it and It only gets worse in Z. (I love DBZ, its just that its literally the Goku show with a few exceptions) I love a good underdog fight where we get to see the weaker, more complex characters, have their moments. It's what made me love dragon ball to begin with.
That’s why I always loved gohan more personally when watching Dbz. I’ve always loved the underdog character, and I’d actually look and watch shows that had that. But, I’ve actually feel I’ve outgrown that a bit and now appreciate all types of characters. Crazy how things can change😱

In the manga Goku used so little energy against Krillin that he didn't even take a break between this fight and the next.
2:38 On of the best sequences of animation in all of Dragonball.
I love this fight. The choreography was on point and both of them were doing crazy stuff
One of my favourite in DB.
Another fight that gave me the same vibes is Goten vs Trunks. Thoughts?

It's crazy to think that at this stage Krillin might be able to fight Mercenary Tau. Especially since Krillin hasn't even done Korrin's tower.

This episode showed exactly why Krillin is so good in DBFZ!
As we continue to see later on Krillin is always the crafty one.
Tien: *foreshadowing* "enjoy your last celebration."
You can say what you want but Kuririn really proved himself as a fighter here and made that victory as hard as possible for Goku.
10:55 That jumpscare from Goku 🤣🤣🤣 The look on Krillin's face was hilarious.
