I’m just starting the video, so I don’t know how this goes, but I think you made the right choice with your second settle. If you go on the 6/3/11 you get too much sheep and you can only expand to more sheep. You also lose out massively on the ore in exchange for having a backup wheat source, which isn’t a great trade. There’s also something to be said for adding wood to go with the brick, especially since there’s not a ton of wood in the first place. There’s some utility in blocking green, but there’s also utility in blocking red. It’s not obvious to me who has the better setup there, but my gut says red. Keeping him off ports is going to be crippling. Green already missed a chance to get an early port by pointing up anyway, so they’re similarly in trouble even without the block.
The houses and the roads that appear before they are placed, are you adding them in post processing or is that a feature for the paid users? How are you switching colors to other houses when explaining placements?
Is 5 8 10 not a spot to consider as first? By doing that you take wood on a board where wood is more rare than brick, get wheat and ore, and are very likely to get at least a good sheep on the way back
Yeah I really like the idea of starting 5 8 10 and pointing right. You're guaranteed the 3:1 port on the 8 ore and start on strongest ore with 2nd strongest wheat. On the rotation back you are pretty much guaranteed sheep with the potential for brick as well.
5 8 10 is not better since with 5 6 9 you take best sheep, ore, wood, brick and wheat too (you would never have the 6 wheat anyway). Basically this is the best setup you can have unless you are playing against extremely high level oponnents who right away know that you CAN NOT take 8 10 so they would negotiate for someone to take it
This is what I would have taken too. I think you get the 6 3 11 on the way back, point toward the 3-1 port with both settlements and you are setup nicely for an ore/wheat/sheep game with multiple sources of both sheep and wheat. I think its also a better first city on both the wheat and ore.
Is the voice chat active during placing settlements? If so, I think red could have talked you into going on the 3 11 10 if he would trade you the first ore and wood or something like that
Your opponents fed you the victory 😏 not that u didnt have a strong starting position and wouldve maybe won eother ways, but gifting you devs is recipe for disaster and the scoreboard is proof. Love your content though
why do newbie players like green join tournaments ? he was even blessed with the opportunity to take 3-11-10 to get at least a lil wheat and he proceeded to trade whatever he didn't need to accomplish that.
It's hilarious..how everyone ELSE is strong and a threat, but SOMEHOW you always pull it off. Here's an idea...stop downplaying yourself and gaslighting others. It's annoying as f.
19:10 Black called it at the end, said "Play the music!" right before it started lol. Great game!
The trades you got in that game were unbelievably good. All three players gave you ridiculously good deals.
Most players are not good at Catan.

If you watch the rest of the video you’ll see the extra sheep would have been fine. He was porting loads anyway but once he got to the 3:1
I'm glad you are uploading again I always get excited when you make a new video ❤
I love your videos and how well you explain everything so clearly while on the fly.
"Good game, nice playing with yall" then immediately keeps saying easy game to chat lol
My man with the fire vid as always

im pretty sure its just his editing style, it is a great addition for the video visuals though no doubt
That's his editor being an absolute g, it's so helpful to see.

Whenever you curse I feel like the smartest kid in class is accidentally slipping up in front of everyone and I'm like "Oh! he said it!"
15:39 that was actually a funny moment there xD

Not sure if anyone said it but you had the win at 18:20 with trade 6 sheep 3 ore for 2 wood 1 brick, connect roads to 6 for win.
Edit: that's 3 away not two, ignore.
This was a good game to watch. It's nice playing with happy people
thats right dylan, you are the best player, just do the fundamentally best play and shit on them with gameplay.
gg
Nice
I feel like you always destroy your opponents anyway XD
Straight thievery from red there lol
who won I wonder ?
Dylighted, i would suggest that you don't do the intro during placement (do it pregame), giving you more time to choose your start.
scam artist,well played
I feel like red really gave up on his position I know it was a very hard position but still.

You could’ve just won at the end by taking road when you had the city and 6 sheep and a brick, not like anyone was a threat to you though
Actually nvm you needed 1 more road

Dylan you have 2 minutes its plenty if time. Seriously 😐

skip to 17:06 for an extremely asian moment
