As a school kid living in N. London I'd catch a Greenline bus to Olympia or Earls Court to visit the Smithfield farm show, also Car and Boat show but my favorite was the Ideal Home show because the food stands gave out tasters and after enough of them, I'd be full and lunch money still in my pocket. The last show I went to was the Boat Show back in the 90s and I bought a GPS system for my Dunkirk Little Ship, wearing the Association tie was a good move as I got a nice discount and a coffee. Harry would have loved the show leaping on all that shiny stuff. Thanks for jolting a few more old memories of being a kid.
as i grew up every year we went to the suffolk county show, there was always a well turned out agricultural selection, now its like a giant market, general businesses and construction plant.
What is very noticeable is how vivid the paintwork on Tractors and other Equipment have become, those Valtra's certainly are out standing if you parked one of those in a wooded area you couldn't really lose sight of them.🧐
Just heard about you from William at Crowley Farm. This is such an awesome way to celebrate your 40th anniversary. Imagine what those trees will be like in 40 years. Excited to see more about your farm from over in the USA
Hi you all! Good video. Pretty neat to see all the huge equipment. You both make a good team. I heard that funny comment about a three-something! 😂 Looking forward to part 2.
Now I do hope the nice sales people at kabota are going to arrange a demo of there new compact telehandler for him to try.. 😮😜.. imagine driving that gold fendt on a sunny day 😮😵💫 good PR though.. thanks for the dander Richard.. stay safe 🏴
Richard I thought you were about to break the first rule of Funky Farming "We don't talk about Slurry" 😹😹. I agree with you went 2 years ago LAMMA can be overwhelming.
Great vid. Nice you mentioned Milton, ive worked in Milcombe for a few years as agg engineer. Theres good chance you came to our workshop at some point. 🍻
Play some ABBA in the background. Watching me watching you. 😂 You should name your group “The Eggers”. You keep egging each other on. I enjoyed this immensely
Sanderson Forklifts went out of buisness in 1990 ,the pivot steer Terex is basically the same machine ,I've seen one badged Terex Sanderson ,to spread your wild flower meadow a quad bike and Harry sat on the back facing the wrong way with a fiddle drill ,and fiddle it to the hymn Lord of the dance 2 1/5 acres in an hour ,up to now I've done 7 acres with a fiddle drill ,2 acres walking as it was to wet for any machines
I used to drive a Matbro Mastiff front end loader with pivot steer, great for moving the bucket sideways a bit without having to move the machine forward or reverse. This was back in the 1960s.
The first rough terrain forklift i drove was a Sanderson back in 1983 in Norfolk before i went to Writtle Agricultural College.
Great stuff boys.😊😊

Sanderson and Matbro handlers are long gone, Matbro were made in Tetbury!
Matbro patented the pivot steer and either sold or licensed it to Caterpillar.
