Honest to god for me your an inspiration, I came from a small farm in Waterford and now live up the country and the plan is eventually to build a small scale once a day dairy herd from scratch and eventually go twice a day , I've given up hope of this happening a good few times but since I started watching your videos I'm even more driven keep them coming please, maybe a few videos around calving and health issues with cows

I can't help but notice the shed you were saying looks powerful well is fully fitted out with comfort slat mat! We love it ourselves as much as we love our own hikvision ptz- they're honestly two phenomenal investments for the farm! Another great investment is a Condon engineering calving gate- we have two of them and they're far far safer! Great video as ever Adrian!!

    About time,you did that video.😅😅😂😂🤣🤣
You can't beat having a goodcamera system setup. Be that around the house, farm, business.
Even dash cams to reversing camera's in the tractor, lorrie's, car. I'd bet you Adrian, if you had a reversing camera setup on the tractor, for when using trailer's, tanker, etc. It'd save you a few close calls. Especially with having kid's in a person's life, in some Way.
Personally I'm a BIG believer in that type of thing. After all you can't put a Price on a life. Whatever the age.
You don't need to live in JUST Cavan,to have BAD broadband in this Country. We're no better off here in the West either.
    😱🤦🙈

good camera shots. we had a car stolen from the driveway and the police advised the system needs to have good enough resolution to make out the face for prosecution. Figures running around in hoodies doesn't cut it. I was looking for an integrated approach to farm security, more than just cameras. A camera covering the road outside the external gates would capture the recon vehicle eyeing yr farm, what security do you have on the gates, what physical blocks exist against stock vehicles, gps trackers on farm vehicles and trailers, workshop/tool security, blacklight beams on accessways with cell app alerts. So many layers could have been covered. Have you considered a marine FLIR system installed on a high point on the farm. It uses infra-red, has 360x zoom magnification, can detect a human at 1.8km out, a 30ft vehicle at 6.8km. You could pan over the farm from the house office and monitor the paddocks, gates, buildings/yards once your perimeter/gates are breached and determine where on farm, how many, what vehicles they have will indicate what they are after, e.g., sheds and gear or stock. heres a link www.flir.com.au/products/m400xr/ Farms are multi-million dollar operations these days so several thousand spent on a total package is a good investment for peace of mind. A rustling crew with a pack of dogs trained to herd and not bark can have ramp down and ramp up in under 30 minutes, your herd is gone mate. I know cos it happens here with 1 in 4 farmers in the country (NZ) facing rustling losses. (In response the law has changed, minimum term for entering a farm with intent to steal is 10 years.)
