Now, just imagine this. Infinite rotation power hits GER, and GER returns it to zero. Now, how do you return infinity to zero? That would require an infinite amount of power, which GER sadly does have. This would create an immovable object vs. unstoppable force situation, which might shatter the JoJo multiverse as we know it. So, please don't pit those two stands against each other.
I don’t know if GER can use Return to Zero on multiple things but if GER could technically only use Return to Zero on one thing and can’t use it at the same time on another object then it’s possible that Giorno can lose. But this is considering that he can’t use return to zero on multiple things at the same time. If he could use it in multiple things though he would probably unstoppable
He can. Infinite rotation is meant to harm the target. Anything harmful to giorno will be returned to 0. Infinity is an action bc it keeps going no matter what. Plus it has a beginning (Which was 0)

I really think this is like The Sword That Can Pierce Anything vs. The Shield That Can Block Anything: the only way that they can both stay consistent with their identities is if they couldn't interact, so as a result, the sword will just phase through the shield as if it weren't there. Similarly, Tusk and GER couldn't interact. They would basically be forced to not use their stands. In that case, Giorno wins because he has working legs.

But if the sword phases through the shield, doesn't that mean that the sword won? The shield's missions isn't just to be unbreakable in this case, but to basically stop any attack from going past it. Another solution would be that the sword would just change direction, but then it would just mean that the sword fails to break the shield's defense, which means the sword can't pierce everything....
It's really a problem without a solution.

Act 4 can actually be activated without a horse. It only needs him to be in a pose with perfect ratio. This can be seen at the end of SBR when Johnny is on the boat, act 4 can be seen.

I wouldn't call it "plot armor." Joseph is the hero of the story; of course he's going to prevail somehow. It's just a matter of how he'll manage to pull it out. Plot armor is more like when a character is being protected from injury/death purely on the basis of poor story telling. There was never a time that I can recall when Joseph should have died by all rights, but somehow survived, at least not in part 2.

just to clarify that some people take the "zero" part in "return to zero" too literally
it isn't about numbers or anything, it's about the fact that ger can revert any negative actions targeted towards giorno back to the stage when they didn't happen
if giorno were hit while using ger by johnny's act 4, the infinite rotation would be rewound to the point where johnny didn't attack him
Edit:To be fair INFINITY isn’t a number either, it’s a never ending numerical concept of something that goes on forever. Therefore if it was brought back to the beginning it would just start again - the infinite rotation transcends time and space. Tusk is able to break through dimensional walls and the infinite spin stays spinning during stopped time so even if GER went back to before the shot was fired the spin would still be in existence. It truly would be a different type of infinite loop than Diavolo experienced. Infinitely trying to reset the spin by resetting it to zero.

Now what most people don't take in consideration is that not all Infinity require a beginning
The spin is a rotation that produces more rotational energy than it takes to create, therefore the infinite rotation is an infinite energy which has no end, but what about the beginning?
In my personal opinion I believe that an infinite tall building requires a base, therefore a beginning, but an infinite source of energy, like the infinite rotation doesn't require such thing, because once the infinity is born it becomes a singularity, once the nail it's shoot the nail becomes an unstoppable force, with no need for an end or a beginning
infinity divided by zero in hipotetically equal to 1. So if everything at max GER would revert the act 4 bullet to an act 3 bullet, but giorno would still get killed by it since its a fucking bullet. But since Johnny infinite powered bullet defies any space/time rule as we see it breaking through dimensions, the option of it defying even GER ability is also a possibility, since GER is a stand that can revert actions, but when the bullet is shot it's an indipendent object no longer tied to the cause it was generated from, Johnny could be killed by a time traveller before he was able to shoot the act4 bullet and the bullet would still exist. In any case whether you chose option A or B, there's no scenario where I see Gionro win.

I'd argue that Crazy diamond is by far the most useful stand, especially in a day to day situation.

In my opinion it's one of the few stands that end in a tie with ger where the ending is about the same but before Johnny gets the muda, ger starts spinning because even though the spin itself needs to start once it exists it can't be reverted because infinity has no beginning or end, it just is.

I believe the line GER says is "This is the conclusion you will never come to" or something along those lines when resetting Diavolo. But with GER being unbound by time our space laws, it makes sense that even through infinity he can still reset it, cause the spin itself may not have an end to the power but there was an action that had to happen to make the initial shot, and a will to shoot the shot at him, both of which could be reset to zero infinitely before the spin ever has a chance to be used. And even in the situation of it possibly being whoever attacks first, if GER is always aware and outside of time, even if Giorno doesnt know what the attack will be GER should still be aware of what is going to happen and will revert any actions that would lead to that result. Tusk Act 4’s shot still has Act 2’s homing ability, since it will follow its target even after the shot is missed and hits something else (which is what happened to alternate Diego Brando). Plus, since its spin is infinite, unlike Act 2, it will theoretically continue returning towards the original target forever (which is the reason funny valentine couldn’t leave the area), instead of having a 7 second time limit for the homing ability.

But otherwise it would be pretty easy for Giorno to escape.
But I agree that neither Stand would be able to destroy Superfly. It would simply reflect any damage back onto the attacker.

Nah, Tusk Act 4 is still pretty arsepull-ish. If you're dense enough to claim GER is a feint, or "bullshit", then you've missed the point entirely of Requiems, and the entire message of Vento Aureo. Not to mention the idea of stand evolution has been around since Echoes, and the idea of Stands evolving through secondary arrow punctures has been around since Killer Queen Bites the Dust. :/
Well to be fair, we dont know if GioGio, kept GER, after the 1st usage against Diavolo, since the objective of the stand was fulfilled, so in usage it falls short if it was just a 1 time usage requiem stand.

As much as I love Giorno, I actually think Tusk beats him here. Johnny’s mastered the infinite spin, and if you get hit by one of Johnny’s fingernails, that spin will be applied infinitely. When Valentine was hit by it, he tried to escape to *different parallel universes* and still couldn’t escape the infinite spin. There’s no way you can actually escape it, infinity means never ending, and it cannot be reset because it never ends. Even if Giorno resets to zero after getting hit by the spin, he still cannot stop it as it is an infinite spin, and never ends no matter how hard you try. The only way you can actually cancel it out is if you hit it with an infinite spin that also never ends, but in the opposite direction, which Giorno cannot do.

I absolutely love the transitions you did from both GER and Tusk act 4. Here’s a thought though so infinity is essentially zero somewhat so what would actually happen Is both abilities infinite rotation and return to zero would conflict as the infinite rotation would go through zero which means in a head to head fight Johnny will always land the first fatal blow. In conclusion the winner of the fight depends on who attacks first and since GER is a reactive stand and tusk act 4 is a reaction stand that means Johnny will always win. But still GER remains generally much stronger then tusk in most ways, Johnny just wins because he can breach through zero with his infinite rotation. The reason for this simply is that if you were to reset infinity to zero it would remain the same as zero and infinity are very similar thus meaning that they are and will always conflict.
That's actually not right, resetting to zero would mean that he would reset jhonny to before he intended to attack, and even if an attack was ever landed on giorno's body by some miracle, the spin itself can always be set to 0 there is no comparing infinity to zero, zero means the spin isnt doing anything, there is zero spin, if you multiply infinity by zero it becomes zero, so his body wouldnt be effected at all, even if that meant at all times for the rest of his life is body was resetting to zero
