The way ranveer handled himself amidst that awkward moment reminded me of how chris rock neutralised the atmosphere at the Oscars after that bizzare situation...Truly Commendable
Ranveer was not awkward, it was authentic from both sides. Dont extend ourselves as celebrities that are instantly recognisable the world over. As a South African, I recognise a few Indian celebs on holiday in South Africa and Netherlands where I reside and no one knows who they are besides a few of us who are interested. The same for non-Indian celebs. Ranveer answer in a way that anyone can understand what his job is without any ego.
Besides one can't always know about anybody if an actor or actress is at any event just for publicity. Why would interviewer or even one person from the crowd recognize a bollywood celebrity. That being said it's ranveer singh who is always seeking attention and it's not hard to miss spotting anyone with his kind of fashion.
gud point but wud the same reporter have asked the same question for any hollywood actor? people in some parts of the world dont recognise all hollywood actors isnt it?
She literally overreacted for nothing. The host was just praising her and yes to reply to shriya's question even leading men in telugu industry like nagarjuna, venkatesh also get this question asked that how r they able to remain so fir even at this age.. this woman literally made a mountain out of a molehill
As a kannadiga I didn't really care about Rashmika's relationship with Rakshit Shetty and I didn't really understand the hate for her wanting to better her career instead of being married to someone who is much older but the problem was when she refused to acknowledge her roots and slowly started being shady towards kannada film industry which deeply hurt people who were on her side when she broke off the engagement. It all finally blew up with that interview and unnecessary hand gestures. She probably gave this particular interview before Kantara craze happened and boy did that backfire hard 💀 like I'm sure she wouldn't have acted all cocky if she had given the same interview after the film's success
Exactly, we have nothing against her for breaking the engagement. She was young, had more opportunities to explore. But I really started disliking her for the shady behavior towards kannada language, kannada film industry and her debut production house. In mangalore we don't speak kannada on daily basis but we are fluent in kannada, similarly every coorgi I met till date can speak in kannada very well. I don't understand why she behaves as if she is from other state. Her English isn't good as well, any guess about what language she spoke when she lived in bengaluru ??.
@@sttym1997 I guess she didn't have many Kannada friends in Bengaluru. But that's fine if she isn't fluent in kannada. But it's her attitude that started disgusting. She tries to come out as exotic and more superior to people of Karnataka. On the other hand, i think it's time we start ignoring her. Social media trolls are just encouraging her to behave more coldly
@@sttym1997 rashmika scared of tollywood that's y she is behave like she is against kannadigas.. tollywood enjoying quarrel between rashmika and kannada industry
@@ffs624 that's stupid. Why would she advocate for Tollywood vs Sandalwood imaginary beef? There's no beef between the two industries. Initially I guess she was scared of mentioning kannada or KFI coz people would just attack her no matter what she said. Later on she got really bitter about it and started being shady especially since she was getting so much opportunities in Telugu. She thought she was above KFI and deliberately started showing off how she's sucessful. She didn't expect kannada movies like KGF or Kantara do so well in the PAN India platform and now it's too late to re- acknowledge after all the bs she has done 💀 it's just karma
And that crazy journalist who asked the question..just imagine how his life is 🤣🤣 when he grows old, he will tell his grandchildren what he used to do 4 an earning..such ppl with no respect 4 themselves 🥱🥱
Love Shriya's answer, I have same view. Heroes body keeps changing, they look older, still no one says anything. Its natural to change over time and still look awesome. Love the change
Well i think Shriya Saran overacted. The interviewer was praising her About how well she has managed her fitness over the span of 15 years . Even make actors recieve such comments for example someone like nagarjuna that how has he managed his fitness so well over the years. What's wrong in that ? She wanted to make a fuss for no Real reason
I think she is another spoilt out of touch from biology,reality- indoctrinated pseudo intellectual. Such interview question arises because heroes legit are able to retain their looks n shape more than heroines. Example? SRK, AB, salman, sunil shetty, hrithik roshan, akshay kumar, john abraham. On the other hand most female celebs lose their looks(away from camera especially) to say the least, owing to their pregnancy and biological facts like women having slower metabolism, menopause, etc. which they don't have any control over n am not blaming them. It's natural ❤️. Also, most people including women consciously or subconsciously follow n admire an actress more for her looks than acting in comparison to actors. There must be a reason why nana patekar, rajpal yadav, AB, nawaz are so celebrated but not that lady who acted alongside brett lee or any non stereotypically gorgeous looking actress. Don't outrage over everything ffs
@Malavika Nair There are only undertones as long as you make them out. Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna have been asked far too many times. They never really got irritated because of that. Shriya definitely overreacted. Now the other way would be a good example. Journalists should ask the heroes/heroines on why they are out of shape. That will be a controversial material
As a kannadiga I don't care what happened between Rashmika and rakshith shetty. It's their personal life. Even rakshith shetty praised Rashmika for her future projects. But but. I am really disappointed when she didn't acknowledge the kannada movie house which really made her famous. She was saying that she doesn't know proper kannada even tho she was born here meanwhile she learnt perfect another language within months.
Lol, even she couldn't learn hindi properly....in her recent bollywood debut film goodbye, that too opposite legend like amitabh bachchan, her hindi accent and obviously acting was not at all good!
I think there was a personal conflict between rashmika n rakshit. That's y she is avoiding taking his name often. I have seen a interview fr her recent movie goodbye, she said krik party changed her life forever n that's one movie she is grateful fr . I think hatred was forcefully imposed on her regarding this issue. Another thing abt our South Indians is that we tend to love actors more if they talk proudly abt our languages. We imagine them as humble. But inreality these r just a onstage speeches fr brainwash audience since these actors clearly knows that we vl fell fr it. But they vl never give a penny to fans. P.s: I don't like her n not her fan 🤣
Ranveer Singh's moment may have come across at awkward but I commend him for his humbleness and having basically no problem in introducing himself. It's amazing how he doesn't let anyone bring down his fun! 🙌🏻🤣
With respect to Rashmika and peoples hate towards her, it wasn't Rashmika vs Rakshit or Rishab or anything. Rashmika and Rakshit got engaged after Kirik Party and they broke it afterwards. Just after that she got her break in Telugu with Geetha Govindam and rose to fame in Telugu just like she did here in Kannada. And she started sucking up to actors etc in awards shows (Hiii sirrrr....is a famous meme here in Karnataka). She came on Instagram live and people used to comment talk in Kannada while live (her primary audience was still Kannada at that time), she told only English for now, no Kannada. Then in an interview in Tamil she tried speaking Tamil and the interviewer appreciated her efforts and she told she tries to learn but she doesn't know any language properly. The interviewer told, you must know Kannada atleast, she told no. She doesn't know Kannada also that well. Then when rumours started that she is dating Vijay Devarakonda, she told in interviews that he is such a great friend, he is not insecure like her ex (i.e Rakshit) and he helped through her break-up etc etc. Rakshit Shetty never badmouthed her anywhere and always wished well for her and future, while she continued talking about the relationship. Pushpa was released in Kannada also, and when journalists asked her why she didn't dub in Kannada herself, she told she didn't get time. People were not happy with her once she went out of Kannada movies and when asked why she isn't doing any Kannada movies, she told she isn't getting any good script and she is not offered good movies and all, yet she did average movies all over other languages. It was kind of clear for the Kannada audience that she abandoned the very crowd which gave her an overnight stardom for more money or screen space with bigger stars elsewhere. And her interviews and actions kept on adding fuel to the hate. It was never about just the break up. She never respected the people of Karnataka and Kannada which were the two main factors that gave her the overnight stardom. Edit: Add recent controversial statement of her saying South films don't have romantic songs and is mostly limited to item dance numbers during Mission Majnu song release event. I can imagine the pain of telugu movie audience now. When they realize, the same Rashmika acted in Geeta Govindam whose romantic songs were a huge it!
That's so mean of Rashmika.. the way she underestimated Rakshith is simply unacceptable. Personal lives aside, one should be grateful for being launched

The Ranveer Singh interaction tells us that the newer generation of Bollywood isn't as popular outside India, as the 3 Khans. (Most of my foreign friends know about the 3 Khans).
Honestly apart from srk and ak i don't think any Indian celebrity is popular/known in the world Even amitabh bachchan. Indian cinema is only known as musical or about slumdog millionaire that's it
Nothing awkward in that Ranveer Singh moment. The interviewer was right as he couldn't recognise him, and Ranveer was also humble to introduce himself with his energetic style. Actually, loved that.
Ranveer handled it really well. People don't watch Bollywood movies all over the world like Hollywood movies, its not necessary for everyone to know him. Even back in India my dad doesn't know new generation actors, not a big deal. Some people live making big issues out of petty things💀

The similar kind of questions are asked to someone like nagarjuna That how he has maintained himself so well and fit for so many years. So what it's like a praise
Pseudo feminism at its finest. There was no reason to overreact. In the Telugu interviews, both male and female actors get asked similar questions. Nagarjuna, Venkatesh were posed with similar questions many times.
The Anjali Menon's comment is highly debatable one. Everybody are free to say a opinion about a film, that's as a general public. But there are people who dissect a film and claims as a film critic without knowing anything about technical aspects. They should not call themselves a film critic.
Most annoying ones are those who are from mumbai stand outside theater and give review you may have seen them in TH-cam and they are totally clueless about films and cinema
We all can watch and review movies. But being a critic is a different ballgame. I might say "movie lagged" in the sense that I, as a viewer, felt impatient with the pacing. For a critic, it should be a bit more indepth than that.
Martin Brundle is a former F1 racing driver from Britain, he does the grid walk interviews. Most of his encounters end up viral someway. He wouldn't know most celebs in the grid as there so many attending these races especially the ones like Miami , Abu Dabhi . Ranveer handled it so well :)

Radhika apte question reminds me of what press people asked to alphonse puthren when 'premam' leaked. He gave a fitting reply. It was a big news at that time.
About what Anjali Menon said, it kind of makes sense when it comes to a few critics like "blue sattai" a popular "critic" down south. Spewing stuff to gain views or popularity and publicly demeaning creators in the name of criticism is something that happens on that channel. I would say it would be wise to criticize lacunae while commending what the creator got right, much like what you do Jammy. 😁
Rashmika did intend to hurt her first production house. Paramah studios has given so much great movies in kannada and also has given a whole lot to her. U can have ur say abt her acting in Goodbye and other films but her acting or anything of tat is because of Saanvi in her first movie Kirik Party. DO WATCH IT GUYS!!! Rashmika definitely had a bitter experience after the breaking up her engagement with Rakshit Shetty. As a person from Karnataka I can say people brutally trolled her. But this disrespectful behavior of hers is going to take her down even more. She should separate her personal and professional life and be mature enough to give credit to people who helped her and supported her in her initial days. I think Rakshit Shetty is mature enough to wish her on her birthday on social media because he has made peace with the break up.
I just want to say something unrelated. Tomorrow gold is releasing starring prithviraj directed by alphone puthren seven after premem. Do check it out if it's near you and shine Tom Chacko is so unprecedented in his interviews same as his performances.
Rashmika Mandanna didn't say the name of 'Paramvah' Production House which gave her name and fame at first place. Those hand gestures surely shows her over the top attitude & disrespect towards Rishab Shetty, director of Kirik Party & entire Kannada Film Industry (KFI).
You can make videos on- 1) How movie promotion has evolved or changed over times 2) Movie promotion by directors themselves like ayan mukherjee, rohit shetty, kabir khan and even Rajamouli sir. 3) We grew up watching kids movies/ tv shows like shakalaka boom boom, son pari etc, but no such kid centered content is being created nowdays not even on ott. 4) Crime thrillers is popular genre on ott. 5) No old school feel good family movies or shows being made nowadays. 6) Decline of biopic movies.
Here's my two cents on the worthiness of film critics: I as a potential cine-goer would want to know how entertaining a movie is. Usually a good movie is appreciated across the board by most film critics. So I watch/ listen to 2-3 reviewers and if the average review is good, I decide to invest time and money into watching the movie. How do I decide which reviewer/ critic to listen to? The ones whose preferences/thoughts I have found to be consistently coherent and relatable in the past. So if Anmol says Bhediya is worth a watch I will watch it. Do I spend time reviewing his review - don't think so. Reviewing a review is something people who are close to the film - esp filmmakers tend to do - because it's too personal.
Shinte tome's interviews are always crazy🤣dont know whether he is doing those stupid things purposefully for publucity stunt or under the hangover of drugs or something
i think u should do a story on movies which could have elevated bollywood, but failed to get the right backing. I mean films like Tumbaad, Laal kaptaan, ludo, article 15 etc. I feel bollywood has somehow found means to keep the nepotism going by undermining good projects. it is also worth mentioning that actors like akshay khanna, manoj bajpai etc have found it diificult to bag good roles despite their exceptional talent
About rashmika, Rashmika received many hate comments on social media after her engagement with rakshith called off. But for me that is not a reason to hate her. Because that's none of my business (social media gone from praising her in Every other post to constantly trolling her). But I was disappointed when she was blatantly saying she didn't know kannada. Like she literally learned other two languages(She would've avoided these questions but she chose not to) and (as I felt from her comments) ungrateful of her first film and roots. Cherry on the cake other actress who works only in Telugu cinema and didn't forgot their kannada roots(like Anushka) made it easier in social media.
1. In love today promotion, anchor said director also actor also imitating Allu Arjun's hit song lover also fighter also. It was the hero, who didn't understood that compliment and made a joke out of himself. 2. Shriya's anger was meaningless. She asked, do you ask the same to heroes. Answer is YES... All aged heroes faced with the question of how do you look so young or how do you manage the energy in this age. From chiru to balakrishna to Nag to Venky. All of them face those questions and they answer it politely. Shriya was unnecessarily arrogant.
I hope both Rashmika and Rakshith heal from what went down between them so that their personal conflicts don't spill over to their professional lives. And we see here, cancel culture just cornering and trolling and not allowing celebrities, who are people with flaws too, allowing them space to grow and learn and being judgemental instead. Live and let live, people!

If anyone wants to brand themselves as a 'film critic'- I believe they need to be aware of the process.. Aware of technicalities. Rest- people who don't identify themselves as 'film critics' are entitled to their opinions - even though they don't have technical awareness. Coz we are customers and it's our discretion to like a product or not and have an opinion on it.. What elevates a critic is that- knowing the technical aspects of film making, while being empathetic to creators, they are able to call a spade and spade and become the voice of a common person.. They also are able to gently nudge the audience to take note of the brilliance of movie making, sometimes lost to the untrained eyes of the audience..
Ranveer is always sweet and lovely ❤️with everyone and he brings so much positivity around him he is very strong headed even though he is getting unnecessary hate 🤦🏻♀️
People watch films as simple viewers and/or as filmmakers. The position you watch it from doesn't dictate whether you're a film critic or not. To me, that depends on the lens you watch a film through and the purpose of watching it. I think if a person watching a film analyses it in terms of the technical aspects of filmmaking and/or is looking to learn about the elements of filmmaking by watching it (like they're "studying"), then that person can be called a film critic.

Even in 'pogaru' movie they took the reference of her real life incident to insult her.. How one can do this to another human being. Do the heros accept if they made fun of in the film for their real life incident. Often I felt that the way she was treated by us is what making her to stay away from us.
On the Anjali Menon discourse, I personally feel like people critiquing any piece of media should have a general level of understanding and knowledge on how the said piece of media came into being. Of course that doesn’t mean being a full blown expert in the process of filmmaking, but like Anmol said, having some idea about genre and storytelling beats and stuff related to that. Gatekeeping film and media criticism to those who have access and experience to the production side is both unfair and dismissive in nature.
Why is Ranveer Singh being lauded so much for simply introducing himself? The core of the matter is Bollywood stars no longer dominate the globe, and people around the world are not aware about them. It’s completely normal for a journalist at a sports event to not know a particular actor from Bollywood.
No, the core of the matter is that Bollywood stars are humble enough to behave like a regular person. Contrast this with Bollywood's hayday when actors regularly threw tantrums if they were not treated as royalty. Bollywood is actually more well known today than before. This is the first time Americans or Europeans actually know anything more about Indian films than stereotypical dance numbers.
@@scientia.veritas The reason most stars are so “humble” and “nice” is because today they can’t afford to throw tantrums or act starry. They’ll be shunned, trolled and cancelled on social media. Even someone like Kareena Kapoor, who has had a history of being snobbish pre social media time, is now very careful with her words in public. Adding on, I completely agree there is more awareness about Indian film industry today due to globalisation and easy access of good Indian content (not just songs) due to Netflix and Prime- platforms which were not available before. That, however, in no way means that BW stars are well known in the west. They barely have stardom at home.
@@haleemaumair2747 Stardom is inversely proportional to accessibility. Everyone is more accessible today. There is no stardom even in Hollywood anymore - Tom Cruise is perhaps the last Hollywood superstar. Even SRK, Aamir, Salman don't enjoy the same stardom they did in 2000s.

Saying 'yuck' to a dish does not require the knowledge of making that dish, which is why 'yuck' is an opinion. When the same person gives a feedback (review), such as 'the dosa is undercooked' or 'the sambhar is too spicy', they need to have some knowledge of cooking to know if the dosa is really undercooked and if there are no spicy sambhar variations. Now, if this person decides to teach the cook (critique) how to make the perfect dosa, they, of course, need to know how to make the perfect dosa, which would entail not just the recipe but the knowledge of the reasons for a certain batter consistency and the exact ratios of the sambhar spices . For cinema, everyone saying 'yuck' believes that they know the recipe and can teach the cook.

I agree with what Anjali Menon said about film criticism. You should have a strong background on how a movie is made before judging it (similar to the phrase put yourself in someone's else shoes.) Of course, you can have an opinion on everything, but there has to be some value to that opinion. Using the same example Mrs. Menon made, you can't just complain there is "a lag" in the movie without taking the time to understand the purpose of the senses and their context. You can't just say that scene was boring and move on. As a critic, you should see what the director or story writer is trying to say and seek out how to make the scene better. Criticism is a form of feedback to help the team improve their work.
Almost all of Shine Tom Chacko's interviews r either batshit crazy or outright hilarious. Like some kind of attention deficiency. Him being caught up in a drug bust early on his career hasn't helped his image but he obviously doesn't care.

As a South African, I recognise a few Indian celebs on holiday in South Africa and Netherlands where I reside and no one knows who they are besides a few of us who are interested. The same for non-Indian celebs. Ranveer answer in a way that anyone can understand what his job is without any ego.
True. It was really endearing.

@@aniruddhamungekar8663 there are many undertones to such questions to women. Frankly it's unevolved mentality

What is actually the issue between Rashmika and Rishab Shetty ?

Shriya Saran's wasn't badass. she was just being so called feminist. Interviewer asked her politely about her physique and she just made interviewer to hate her. Same kind of question about physical appearance have been asked to Men/hero as well. I never saw any Hero acted like that.
Politely she asked the dumbest shameless questions
@@drv1841 so if you are in your 40's where normally people tend to lose their shape in terms of their body. then if you have good physique and somebody asks you how did u maintain it then is it dumb que for you? really? And how on earth it is shameless to ask an actor about their physique when most of hero or heroines try to look always perfect. they want to have good looks always. They put so much makeup all the time. Can u answer why it is shameless to question on something which is everything for an actor?
@@Sagar-sb2wz first of all great physique is not the main thing for an actor,, acting is,, u come frm same dumb school as of that anchor i think..second if she wanted to appreciate, she could have directly said that she s beautiful at this age, no need to body shame other co-actos..third, as shreya rightly said such questions on physique would be asked only to female actors ,,instead she could have asked on acting efforts..bt such journalists ask male stars on how diff it was the acting and female stars how difficult was the diet and physique,,which was rightly highlighted by Shreya, does this anchor have the balls to ask one male star such question
Side note, you already praised but I too want to praise Love Today. So apt for today's time and Yogi Babu was so so brilliant.
You should have included Rishab Shetty's reply to Rashmika
I thought it wud be there
@@manisha551991 ya. I watched this video especially because of that thumbnail
Thank God you started making content we subscribed this channel for, again.
*As a Kannadathi I genuinely felt bad for the way our people called Rashmika disgusting names after Geetha Govindam/Engagement Break. But I think we all can agree that Rashmika has no love or basic gratitude for her journey in Sandalwood. She post every year about Chalo or Geetha Govindam, but never posts about Kirik Party which is VERY suspicious behavior.*
With this being said, I think we need to show her more grace, because the more our people call her "d*g*r" the more she's gonna hate the Kannada audience.
That's so correct.. she broke her engagement it's her personal life. We as spectator has no right to talk about it.. and non of as audiance has no proof of what she saying is even right or wrong. We just know one part of the truth not wholly.. isn't it. Well thank you so much for your comment, I felt atleast there are people who think like this.. thank you from another kannadathi here 😍
I think it's ok for her to not post or talk about her first movie because her ex is in the movie. Would any of us want to post and talk about our ex? I guess no.The same applies to her.
You never know what happened. Let's not judge. May be something to do with casting couch or may be a smear campaign was run against her.
Yes..Absolutely right..
We don't know what one had gone through in his/her life.. Just because she broke up with him how we can call her dagar. I am not a fan of her but I felt sorry for her. Even in 'pogaru' movie they took the reference of her real life incident to insult her.. How one can do this to another human being. Do the heros accept if they made fun of in the film for their real life incident.
Often I felt that the way she was treated by us is what making her to stay away from us.

Shine Tom for the win 😂
On the Anjali Menon discourse, I personally feel like people critiquing any piece of media should have a general level of understanding and knowledge on how the said piece of media came into being. Of course that doesn’t mean being a full blown expert in the process of filmmaking, but like Anmol said, having some idea about genre and storytelling beats and stuff related to that.
Gatekeeping film and media criticism to those who have access and experience to the production side is both unfair and dismissive in nature.
4:06 He had a bit of a high-pitched voice earlier. Someone’s got bass in their voice. Thank you for reminding us though 😂
"My cameraman is laughing like anything."

Only english teachers use this stupid phrase 🤣😂
Being a kannadiga, I can assure you that Rashmika Mandanna's movies won't work in Karnataka now.She is kind of banned by kannada audience.
The intro was lit😂 Guilty pleasure of Mallus
Shine Tom Chacko Supremacy 👑
Jammy... The way u convey the info was tremendous, no trolling, no sarcastic words, so decent your videos
Rashmika's ❝ ❞ gesture was in very bad taste. Most people in Karnataka know the history and reason why she did that but still that should not be the reason you belittle the production house which launched you. It's called ungratefulness and most of us find it highly revolting. She burnt lot of bridges with that one single gesture here in Karnataka. That was very unprofessional of her.
Shriya's reply only sounds badass as long as you don't realise how most of the heroes she's worked with are still in good shape..
Rajnikant? Most of the south heroes do look old af, but interviewers do ask them about their fitness if they are in shape such as Anil Kapoor he was asked about his fitness almost all the time but thats Bollywood, in south maybe interviewers don't ask actors such questions
Those old men who are pretending to be young with botox shots, hair fixing and belly belts? Are u serious?
Oh! Then why those journalists do not say to any hero about their shape.
@thedoublep You are seriously telling me Rajinikanth is out of shape 😒
Rajinikanth, Ajith and Kamal look old among Tamil heroes. But Shriya hasn't worked with Kamal and Ajith. Rajinikanth, while appearing old, is still in shape. So is Kamal. So her statement doesn't ring true. Out of shape and old are two different things.
@@moumitapal8558 they get questions about their shape. None of the Nag's interviews end without a question on his looks
Rashmika forgot her roots, Rajanikanth, soundarya,Arjun sarja etc became popular in other industries from Kannada cinema, do we troll them? infact Rekha, rakul preet Yami Gautam debuted in Kannada cinema as a main lead, do we troll them? I like how Ranbir Kapoor traps the interviewer in their own absurd questions!
i like how you present a different view point on the same cringe trollers laugh at and blame celebrities for the same. These questions are sincelerely stupid. keep doing it. This Topic is important to cover since it shows celebrity are also human and is capable of firing back for the right reasons.
You know what, Ranveer has given his whole heart into his performances. I’m all for taking a well-deserved break after giving iconic performances back to back.
Let the man be Gucci.
Wow you explained it so well!!
Reviews are opinions. What is a perfect dosa? Explain!
Shriya Saran being the 21st century human
I had the pleasure of interviewing Shriya Saran in December’22. She is all that you said and more. I’ve never seen a celebrity as giving of their time as her. She had a flight at 8:30pm and she stayed with us till 7:15pm despite her staff insisting that she should leave.
A whole different class.
the way sriya saran handled the journalist's question is great. that channel TV9 telugu and their journalists (bunch of clowns) are experts in doing such bizarre stuff on a live tv. kudos to sriya ma'am
