Just found you channel. You look a lovely couple. topics. You have a new subscriber. Already picked up a few tips; love the buffalo boards rubbers seals idea. I will adapt that on mine. Once I finally finish the fitout - work keeps getting in the way. 😉

Hiya, thanks for subscribing and welcome aboard! Glad the rubber seals idea was helpful. We’re currently grappling with laying floorboards. 😅 good luck with the fitout!

Bloody hell, that williams guard looks technical! Wouldn’t fancy being the victim of one of those!

"Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink". These are very famous lines from Samuel Taylor Coleridge's renowned poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. Your husband knew better and your slightly scathing reply reflected badly on you.

Hi Colin. My reply wasn't scathing, this is how Joe and I joke with each other. Cheers for the comment!

Definitely a labour of love, but every small step is showing big improvements.
I was just randomly thinking about your water situation, I wonder if it'd be worth putting small guttering along both sides of the roof and collecting the rain from that?
There's a lot of roof space up there and even a very tiny gutter/channel would yield some results I'd imagine, especially with the rain we're getting right now.
I know you can get water purification systems that use canal water, but I'd imagine that'd be quite expensive, so collecting rain water seems like a logical step if possible.
I love the mixed content of your videos, keeps it interesting.

Hi Adam, thanks for watching and commenting mate. Good idea, never thought about guttering, although I do see water butts on the massive widebeams, which I assume are just for extra storage but which could catch rainwater I suppose. I’ve heard horror stories of filtration systems malfunctioning without the owner knowing causing them to drink unfiltered canal water 🤮

      @@FloatingStranglers Oh...yum? haha.
I suppose another option might be to attach those slimline water collection tanks to each side of the ship, ah wait, that would make walking down the side of the ship really difficult, plus they might get knocked off if you scrape a bridge wall, darnit :P
Yea it's not easy, but it does seem there's water refill stations somewhat frequently on your trips, so that's always good.
I can't wait to see what's next on the DIY list, it's looking like a really nice home already.

@@averyvaliant yes indeed, it’s a toss up between liveability and water storage… sometimes you have to just lug a ton of 5litre water bottles from the tap in a backpack which is fun! Thanks for the support

O dear. Seen that, done it. Never again. Well. At 59 I kinda grew out of this type of romantic life style. But I understand. My current boat is 27 m long. Thus ample space😎

Good evening both of you, watching that, the thought occurred to me you should have a very shiny boat. Is it not practice for Jujitsu to do the "Wax on - Wax off"? or is that a different discipline? Just a thought. Take care and try not to get webbed feet with all that water. Peter.
