Hey Tamzin and Joe, that's a great little kitchen you're building there! You're really turning it into your place. Word to the wise (speaking as a one-eyed carpenter), wear safety goggles! Reclaiming pallet wood is a lot of fun but it's full of knots and twisty bits and can chuck out shrapnel like no tomorrow... I'm loving all the little touches like those shelves, by the way. And the personal paw prints...
Hi Jim, thanks so much! It’s slowly getting closer to the space we envisioned, we’re laying floorboards this afternoon! Thanks for your reminder about safety goggles. I generally try to wear goggles but it’s only while watching the footage back that I realise quite how many times I forget to put them on while doing something potentially hazardous. No excuses, time to start having them on us at all times so that it becomes second nature to put them on every single time! Thanks
Hey, just discovered your channel. What a lovely couple. Already watched a few of your videos. It’s nice to see boaters who are not full of themselves as many couples on narrowboat vlogs I’ve watched, seem to be. You have some great ideas. The pallet idea for end panels has inspired me for my fitout, once I eventually get back on board, work commitments allowing. You have a new subscriber. 😉
Hiya! What a lovely comment, thank you so much. That’s great to hear the end panel idea has inspired you. It’s such brilliant free wood, if you have the patience to take the damn things apart 😆 Hope to see you back on the water soon
@@FloatingStranglers Thanks for replying. I’m not on the water yet! I’m stuck in a field! It’s a new shell. I use a wrecking bar to dismantle palate. I can rip one apart in less than 5-minutes! th-cam.com/video/JaESKLhVYC8/w-d-xo.html
Those worktops came up really good, the kitchen is looking great, well done to you both. Looks like the weather is finally starting to warm up now, so that'll give you a much needed mood and morale boost I think, seems to have been a longggg grey autumn/winter.

Thanks for your encouragement Adam! Roll on the summer 🌞
That was tense watching you cut the work counter! Good job though 😅
Haha I’m slowly getting less scared using the circular saw
