    Please can you teach us how to stack and trim a cake? My cakes look wonky and like the leaning tower of Pisa

      I typically don’t trim my cake layers though I have in the past. This video may be helpful to you: th-cam.com/video/tvOR60Bdfpc/w-d-xo.html. Thanks for watching!

    Hi there. So i just finish looking at your bulging cake video where it said to do a very thin crumpcoat. Now looking at this upside-down technique, your first crumpcoat is actually very think. So, i am lost as i try to learn. Please help and thanks.

    • @AsiaCoffee
      @AsiaCoffee  ปีที่แล้ว

      The crumb coat doesn’t necessarily need to be super thin. Ideally it should be thin enough for you to see your cake through it, but it’s ok if the icing is a little thicker.

      Also, here’s a more recent video where I talk more about the crumb coat in detail: th-cam.com/video/RzrK4iH3zak/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EDTaw35114du8Zon. I hope this helps!

    Where did you get your cake scraper?

    • @AsiaCoffee
      @AsiaCoffee  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I get this question a lot! I bought it at my local specialty cake supply store. Unfortunately, it didn't come packaged nor does it have any logos on it. Any plastic (or metal) scraper will do. The most important thing it that the scraper has square corners, not rounded ones. This helps us achieve the sharp edge! 😉
