I see that 55,000+ people have seen your lure painting but now one loves them more than me. I love them! I am just a beginner but really enjoying it. I buy only the best equipment and follow you instructions to a T. You are amazing :) Thank you so much for sharing. I will enjoy many days of fishing with my custom lures.
she said she going to be bass master champion one day I told her she needs her own lure colors so bass not seen them so that's why she started watching you cause you exsplain better than others on youtube
I am so enjoying this. I know we're not supposed to copy, and trust me I can't, as I only have a few colors but I am having a ball trying. Your tutorials are the best. Thank you for sharing and not hiding!
love the video I like the way you teach very detailed my girl 6 year old an she wants to paint lure so she sitting in chair watching you we just beginning I got some paint an brush from lurecolour he has great patterns makes it very easy for my girl to paint with
Awsome to see a true fisherman from the same neck of the woods. Minnesota land of 10000 lakes. Mike these videos are awsome. I appriciate all the work and effort put forth to make these videos. Truley u have a talent and u are an inspiration to me and many others. Thank you soooo much #MnLove
Awesome. I have some older beaters I want to paint, but have never painted before. The biggest hurdle is making sure I get the right stuff to use and the right paint. Some people use paint they mix, some use clear coat in the gun. I like your brush idea better.
My favorite airbrush is the Harder Steenbeck Infinity... It is amazing, extremely versatile and can get a variety of needle sets for the one brush. Also Easy to clean and maintain.
I’ve only been painting baits for about a year. When using glitter I simply spray the area I want to glitter with a spray can clear coat. Sprinkle the bait areas I want with glitter and follow with Devcon after the clear cost drys. It’s easy and seems to hold glitter when painting on devcon.
what is the ratio for you "thin black" paint. I would like to know what is most colour paints you use in your tackle shop. thank you for sharing your talent.
Wow awesome vid. Thank you. Really appreciate your time. Can you recommend a good starter airbrush. Extremely interested in painting my own lures thanks again
Your videos are fantastic, but it looks like you haven't posted one in a while. I was wondering if you could do an essential equipment video for absolute beginners?
James Carter I don’t buy what I suggest is join my Facebook page Brotherhood of Custom Crankbait Painting. It offers tips and tricks for lure Painting. We have about 5000 members. I’m sure someone there will have a green pumpkin color to share. When requesting to join make sure you answer the three short questions. Thanks
nice video man i want to replicate what you are doing here in your videos airbrushing lures but i have so many questions. I have never airbrushed anything, can i just go buy any air compressor and air brush and away i go? also what type of paint can i use cheers in advance from Australia
I have a question, what epoxy do you use most I have seen you have to turn them for eight hours so they don't run I need the kind you are using ..... Awesome by the way !!!!!
nighthawker1337 a couple options. Devcon 2 ton Epoxy which as a 30 min working time (realistically you can only get 2 Baits done and Epoxy is good for 8 min). Or EnviroTex Lite Buy you’ll need a rotating drying wheel to keep that clear coat from pooling up
I have been using Devcon 2 ton 30 minute epoxy. I never used a drying wheel for that but most recently have been using EnviroTech lite. I can get more baits coated with one batch of epoxy. With E-Tex you'll need a drying wheel
Trent Martin www.menards.com/main/tools-hardware/hand-tools/clamps-vises/tool-shop-reg-helping-hands-jig-with-alligator-clips/2445676/p-1444428083349.htm
For a wooden lure you will need to seal the wood with a wood conditioner of some sort. I haven't dealt with wood lures so I would go to www.tackleunderground.com and ask around in the forums
Lure Me In Custom Painted Crankbaits ghost pattern =translucent. basically, the lure body is clear and there isn't a solid base coat. For an example, check out wiggle warts in "phantom brown craw" or "phantom green craw," or lucky craft's "ghost minnow" or "watermelon craw" patterns.
hi i want to introduce you to my name is ron and and a deaf i am interesting to to learn how to us airbrush and need to know what kind of paint to use with airbrush i was watching you on youtube and there is no close captioned . can you help me what kind of paints do i use with airbrush ? thanks ron
she didn't understand you using hair dryer on every color I would love to see just simple shad pattern with the whole thing heat setting an all for her I keep telling her you using the hair dryer every color but she only six an she loves watching you....but still great video to me she like we need take vacuum daddy to make designs lol
if you go to WLure.com you can get them alot cheaper. It takes about 2 weeks roughly to get to you but the wait is well work it. that probably where your friend got his lures from
Shane, I have ordered from Wlure and the quality I found out is just not there. Dingerbaits.com does NOT get them from Wlure. He gets them from a reputable manufacturer overseas. There is a big quality difference. The 2.5s from Wlure do not come with a weight transfer system inside for extended casts like Dinger Baits does. The scale patterns are better than from Wlure as well. I have begun ordering directly from the manufacturer in China for my other lure blanks rather from distributors such as Wlure.
hi there, I have just started to get into airbrushing and would really like it if you can help me to get as good as you are with practice. I am using createx paints, where do you get your blank crankbaits from? and what type of undercoat and clear do you use please? You are more then welcome to contact me via Facebook by my name irfan malihi. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Good looking craw
you should see the bass jigs she ties they look great she very smart she like daddy when school starting back I need to be learning more
Do you not usea turner to keep the epoxy even? Because however you do it they look awesome!
what is the ratio for you "thin black" paint. I would like to know what is most colour paints you use in your tackle shop. thank you for sharing your talent.
Great video, do you have to put that bait on a wheel now that you have it appoxy, or will it setup just on your helping hands there?
Great video. Where do you get the glitter? Just regular ol glitter from a craft store? Also where can we get that vice?
we just took some old lures that was wore out an brought them back to life just to practice with before we buy new ones

I have 3 air compressors. The smallest is a 20 gallon. Can I use it? Thanks. Great work.
Chris Heath just as long as you have a regulator so you can dial down your pressure between 10-30psi
Do you have a color that resembles green pumpkin? I am just getting started and I love your techniques.

Email me at mike@luremeincrankbaits.com and I'll tell you how to get started.
Do you sell the lures you make or do you take orders?
a good way to get bubbles in the epoxy out is to use a blow lamp
Nice bait, curious as to what compressor you use?
www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/caairto16ulq.html
Nice unit.
Nice. What epoxy are you using?
Nowadays I'm using Alumilite UV cure
I have a question, what epoxy do you use most I have seen you have to turn them for eight hours so they don't run I need the kind you are using ..... Awesome by the way !!!!!
Darrell Sparkman I now use KBS Diamond Clear. A quart size will do 400 Baits. One part. No mixing. Dip and hang.

What clear coat do you use?
Did you make your own alligator clip stand or where can I purchase something like that
Hey buddy nice job...what's the clear coat called that you brush on? Thanks I appreciate it
nighthawker1337 a couple options. Devcon 2 ton Epoxy which as a 30 min working time (realistically you can only get 2 Baits done and Epoxy is good for 8 min). Or EnviroTex Lite Buy you’ll need a rotating drying wheel to keep that clear coat from pooling up
what epoxy did you use? do you have to rotate them to prevent runs or is that an issue?
I have been using Devcon 2 ton 30 minute epoxy. I never used a drying wheel for that but most recently have been using EnviroTech lite. I can get more baits coated with one batch of epoxy. With E-Tex you'll need a drying wheel
Do you have any lures for sale?
If you could share the video on making the stencils that'd be awesome.
madmike3181 I plan on making a video on how to make stencils very soon!
Are all your paints for the lures water base or oil base?
Water based paints with a durable epoxy clear coat
hi ..i wondering do you semi gloss paint ...im a beginner..

Where do you get your clips for holding the lure while you paint it
Trent Martin www.menards.com/main/tools-hardware/hand-tools/clamps-vises/tool-shop-reg-helping-hands-jig-with-alligator-clips/2445676/p-1444428083349.htm
Can you put the. Apox in gun and pray it on ? Like thin down ?
Not Devcon. Look for KBS Diamond Clear
we had to go hobby lobby get her some glitter lol
How do you get the small speckles on the baits? Is it a stencil?
Brad Wahlin that is black glitter in the clear coat. You use your airbrush and use a stippling method too
hi what do you use for a paint booth and filter?
I build a paint booth with plywood and I vent out a window using a bathroom exhaust fan and dryer ducting
could u do a red craw???
q pintura selepone en agua oaseite,,
did you thin your paints
Tim Mann the paints I use are pretty thin already.
do you custom paint for others?
You mean a custom color besides what's on our website? Depends on the complexity but feel free to email me the details at mike@luremeincrankbaits.com
Yes. Www.luremeincrankbaits.com
do you epoxy the bill of the crankbait?
I do... some bills come from the factory a bit cloudy but when you epoxy them it will clear them right up.
Would you recommend putting a layer of epoxy on the wood lure before you painted it or just paint straight on the wood after a good sanding
For a wooden lure you will need to seal the wood with a wood conditioner of some sort. I haven't dealt with wood lures so I would go to www.tackleunderground.com and ask around in the forums
what do you use to hold the bait while painting ?
Brad Wilson it's called a Jewelers Helping Hands
Brad Wilson 7
do you spray with an average PSI of 15
Tim Mann pretty much so
