It's got a magnum next to it, laying right by the hand. The interesting detail? If you pick up the gun, it gives you 5 bullets - 1 less than a full load.
I love how Magnusson is angry about the microwave casserole and not the fact that you initiated a resonance cascade and killed almost everyone working at black mesa.
Wtf, are you a dr breen follower? Gordon was doing his job, the resonance cascade is fault of the administration for allowing the experiment and G-man by saying it to them

A funny story, back when I played Half life 2 for the first time, I was like 12 and I was really scared in Ravenholm so I always took the Dog's ball with me just so I wouldn't feel so alone.. then at the end, Father Gregori always shoot it down and I remember almost crying that I lost a friend that helped me get throught the Ravenholm lol.
aha great story. I remember playing Half Life 2 for the first time when I was around 10. I got up to the point where you're trying to escape city 17 (near the start) and you crawl into a somewhat hidden dark gutter/alley where some supplies are. Probably because I least expected zombies to be in the game, but when a zombie suddenly came out from behind a box, I got terrified (the first zombie you encounter in the game). So terrified in fact that (if I remember correctly) I stopped playing the game for 2 years, and I finally felt ready to play it again when I was around 12. Ah, I would do anything to relive those days again
@@TheTSense Sure but to be fair you can just avoid every single one of those. Everything outside early access/mobile is at the same ratio of quality I'd say.

It is an amazing coincidence but Russian speaking people hear the reverse phrase "dear God, help me" of zombies in half life 2 as a coarse language phrase "ебать, больно," which may roughly be translated as "oh, fuck, I feel pain," we even thought it had been a funny decision of those who had been making game localization
@@Stuurminator none, the matter is exactly in that reversed phrase from the video above, that is the point that reversed English phrase sounds like Russia painful cry with dirty language
It's cuz it's from 2004 I have a potato and it runs amazing, occasional lagspikes on some of the larger maps, and a huge drop at the ending [and the start of Episode One], but it runs great otherwise.
They arent eyes, they are cannons the eyes are boil like structures to the right of the cannons and its apertures in the cannons dont close when you shine a light on them, they just become visible due to the already bright light from the hunters body
@@oblivioustoaster345 What, they are my favorite HL2 aliens. Theres alot of cool biology and technology that goes on into the creature design of them that most people overlook. Cool details, most of them didn't know. It's great that the Russians, the Chinese and the Americans have gathered here and are discussing something together, it's cool! Greetings from Russia!

The zombie scream was never translated to spanish, my mother tongue, as the rest of the sounds and speech. But oddly enough, their screams kinda sound like "quema, fuera de mí" which would translate to "It burns, get out of me". That damn thing made the whole Ravenholm thing X10 times scarier. A very odd coincidence.
Totalmente verdad, yo oía "quema! Why at me" y flipaba. Por cierto, he notado que has puesto "mother tongue", que seria lengua, pero en inglés creo que se dice "mother language"

Based on the age of this game, if Half-Life 2 would be time shifted and released today, then the Half-Life 2 we have would be running on technology and design principles older than the SNES. The strides that games of that era took in both design and technology is incredible.
You know about diminishing returns? Not to mention that his was released on PC It came out at the same year as Halo 2, Metal Gear Solid 3 While the first Half Life came out at the same year as Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil 2

Does hl2 beat hl1 in the "small details you wouldn't notice" department or does hl1 win? There are a _lot_ of those details in hl1. They gave decently avanced AI to cockroaches that don't affect anything in any way excep for being crushed, and there's probably just as much unused features as ones that were used in the game.
Tbh, reversed or not, the zombies always sound like they're in pain and calling for help, even though you don't understand a word, it's just the crying sound
Admittedly I didn't play it until 4 years after launch, but I really don't think it deserves the title of best game EVAR! It's good, and the tech was very impressive for the time, but i don't think the gameplay overall was particularly mind blowing, and honestly the story wasn't anything special either. No disrespect to valve (I really miss the days when they actively developed new games), but I just don't think HL2 is the flawless masterpiece that a lot of people make it out to be.
@@LyK0sa Each one with their preferences, some prefer God of War , Red Dead Redemption, or sports games .... I respect everyone But science fiction, with a good story and good gameplay there is no one like HL 2!

Thanks for watching! Yeah it's mind boggling that they never made Episode 3, such as shame as few games nowadays are able to match the quality of Half Life.
@@oKnightzo No thank you for making it! A shame it is and while the optimistic side of me wants to say it is never too late, the pessimist side is screaming about how the devs could never make it live up to the hype. Oh well, for now lets just be thankful it was ever a thing.
@@Smokez360 indeed, they do so much money through Steam and microtransactions that the (very real) risk of it not living up to the hype would outweigh the positives. Valve recently declined an offer from another developer to do a remake of hl2, so some people believe that they'll do one themselves in the near future, but I really doubt that as well. Yup, they made it an entirely seperate entity with unique properties, instead of saving time on just using an ordinary one. You have to make an effort to get the deactivated one to the strider section. Not having this detail would be fully acceptable.

Half-Life 2 does take place in eastern Europe, so many of the zombies would presumably have spoken Russian. Still probably a coincidence, but funny.
