I hope everyone watching realizes that some else had to pay for our schooling to learn about pumps. Pumps and application was an entire course during water/wastewater. It was not "free". I appreciate your time and effort and valued instruction. You are a fine teacher. Thank you.

Thanks so much for the kind words William. This channel is meant to be used as a resource for anyone in the industry.

Thank you for answering this! You provide such detailed information. I know that you’re probably very busy, but it means a lot to Plumber’s who have mainly commercial backgrounds (like myself) who are trying to further their knowledge of well systems. Chris, you always do a fantastic job, and that’s why your awesome! Keep the video’s coming!

Fantastic video. You make the system easy to understand without a bunch of confusing B.S.. Thank you.

Thank you professor enjoy your videos, they are most helpful indeed. you explain a great many things i never knew anything about and now i understand how it works. You help folks with home well and pump repairs and i think thats so cool. Now, after watching lots of your videos and studying all kinds of stuff online I understand how these things work. There are new things to learn all the time and i discovered one I'd like to share. have this old outdated 2 inch at about 120 feet which never has delivered much in the way of gpm untill now. due too a long drought my well like many of my dear neighbors failed this year big time. I too had next to zero water pressure so out of desperation installed a new bigger more powerful pump which did not fix anything. I dig electronics and recall many fun years of designing and building all kinds of stuff like push/pull electric guitar amplifiers and such. so what the heck it worked for that jazz, so why not this? So i got a second matching pump and working with nothing but galvanized pipe via elbows, tees, couplers, teflon tape and such, put them in parallel for even more water moving power, and even that nightmare of a plumbing job also failed? So after about a week of trying to get that mess to work on a messed up near dry well i disassembled the whole crazy thing and put them in series as a last ditch effort. Wow, now this made a real big difference. after priming the new system and with both pumps running at the start-up the first pump connected to the suction line delivered about 40 to 47 psi via pump #2 hit a staggering pressure of 140+ Thus, this super high pressure pushing through a partially pluged with mud and stuff injector blasted all kinds of stuff out of the well that same day. Lastly, the well water at first was very dark and cleaned up quite quickly. i reconnected the bladder tank and this two pump system charged it to a whopping 73 psi. My well water is still low due to this drought but the two pump system is working great. once again thanks for making these videos i learned quite a bit more watching em professor.... * * * * *

Thank you very much, ... client is asking me to install a 3/4 HP Chinese made water pump with instructions that are useless. The design for these shallow/deep well jet pumps is similar across most of these pumps, horsepower may vary. Since the application I'm working on is a shallow well l can disregard the extra stuff included for deep well applications. All I need is a plug for the bottom, smaller port below the exhaust port since it won't be needed. Thanks again..., Oh, if she had gotten an R. C. Worst & Co., Inc. pump in the first place it would have been much better.

Sir, i have question, can we use a single pipe inlet jet pump, for a double pipe inlet jet pump? Thanks

Sure hope you folks still monitor questions in this channel. I have a tank sitting 100' in elevation above and 150' distance away from my spring system 2500 gallon bulk storage tank. I need to pump water from the lower bulk tank to the upper tank. I've guessed that a float switch in the upper tank can trigger the pump to start when the level drops in the upper tank.
Question: To lift that water the 100' in elevation from the bulk tank, would I need a deep well pump next to the upper tank to suck the water the height/distance required or would some other pump configuration work better?
    Thanks!

My pump bleeds off system psi. During off cycle thru. 1inch line,is this normal? Pump cycles constantly, have ck. Vlv. In suction line

    Questions:
I have a well pipe 1 1/4 inch with the water table constant between 10-20 feet and am presently using a 1/2 HP shallow well pump.
Can I upgrade to a 1 HP shallow well pump
. So not see any problem with the well replenishing itself just concerned that the well pipe is too small for a 1 HP pump
as opposed to a 3/4 HP pumps.

I have a 1 1/4 inch diameter pipe source of water from the well.During summer here in Philippines the level of water is 9meters down the surface of the shallow pump that is why the pump has a hard time lifting the water.I am planning to replace the pump with deepwell pump, the problem is the injector wont pass through the 1 1/4 pipe. If i make suction line from the injector down to the footvalvewith smaller pipe and long enough to reach the water and the injector is in the surface of the ground, will it work?

On the ejector, that plastic nozzel piece, I broke the tip and lost about an inch off it..... I am using it as a surface pump, there is no suction to speak of. can I still use it? I think it's a F&W cpjs, I'm still not sure!

So the injector sits down in the well as part of a 2 pipe system and there is another injector that sits on the front end of the pump. Or you either have the injector in the well or on the pump itself. Not sure which it is.

Thanks for the video. Question: I have a goulds J05N pump. I have a 80 foot well with the injector you hold in your hand. My pump only builds up to 15-20 psi once I shut off the pump it drops to zero but the water still stays at the top of the pump. It never reaches the cut off pressure to shut off. The pump just stays running. When I turn the pump on without the top gauge the water comes out of the top of the pump no problem. Put the gage on and just 15-20 psi. Cleaned and rebuilt the pump… took the injector out cleaned that. New poly pipe installed 2 years ago. All plastic barb fittings are double clamped. I have no idea what’s going on. The valves to the tank and house are closed so it’s just water to the pump. Any help for me? Thank you!

How deep can you go with a deep well pump? Is 200' too deep?

It seems I'm going to spend my entire summer working on my well. Bought a new pump, all new fittings, primed it and it wont get over 35 psi. It did once, but wont hold the pressure. Pulled the line out of the well, it was heavy and full of water, so I know it was primed. New foot valve. Why wont it hold pressure.
