So good to see Kenya being praised for its beautiful and vibrant culture, and to see Masaai tradition being preserved and celebrated. More positive representation for African countries! Born and grew up in Nairobi (been 10 years and I still miss it like hell) and Carnivore was a total staple. Great job, Tasty!
It's nice that you took the opportunity of the voyage to Kenya for the wedding to share your home's culinary culture with us. Props, and good luck to the newly wed!
Yeah, why would they need subtitles? I actually have difficulty understanding speech in regular conversation, and everyone in this video was extremely easy to understand. They used very slow and articulate cadence.
I love the fact that this is authentically Kenyan and not something from the internet so kudos Tasty. I am Kenyan so it's just amazing to find that it's this good. And I love Kiano, who doesn't, right?
I miss my country so much ! I miss the weather , food and my people. When I am eighteen years old am definitely going back even if it's just for one week
More of this!! This was a brilliant way to show another cultures styles of cooking, both professionally and at home. I would definitely watch more of this style of video, keep them coming please!
@@sashamendieta2570 Oh no, I'm sure there are plenty of vegans who are fine with watching these videos. @@coragon42 Yeah I guess there's obnoxious vegans and obnoxious meat eaters alike! It's not possible for everyone to be vegan anyway, and there's basically nothing you can eat that's totally ethical so people really shouldn't judge. Oooooohhhhh Carnivore!! How I miss you, going down childhood memory lane.. honestly a must visit if you’re in Nairobi Kenya. Am now a Pescatarian but growing up in Kenya nyama choma was everything. I never tried Carmel meat when I used to go carnivore... thank God but I did try ostrich once. I miss you +254🇰🇪🇰🇪.
I’ve been to Carnivore in South African since I’m part South African and it was such a fun experience and we got to eat many different meats. I would totally recommend!
Amazing!! I loved learning more about the Masai people than I ever have before and I love that that information was shared by someone who is actually Masai
... you think about become vegetarian, and you watch this (beautiful) video... Thanks Tasty, I really appreciated learning more about the traditions as well 👍
I'm glad to see this video! I've eaten at Carnivore two times in my life. Once in 2005 and another time in 2008. It was amazing. The ostrich meat may have been my favorite type. I had the crocodile, that tasted a little grisly. I also had zebra meat, which they didn't show in the video.
Omg Kenya is beautiful the people are very nice I went to Kenya for eid this June for vacation for summer break with my family we went to mount Kenya uhuru Park Karen hub and even eastleigh we also went to Mombasa and visted some beaches had a wonderful time with my family the food was delicious ❤️
God I miss Carnivore!!! That restaurant has been the best since the 80's. They used to also serve wilderbeast and zebra way back when. I miss nyma choma. They should have shown the sides too, like roast banana and kachumbali.
How the meat is prepared, who gets to eat which parts of the meat is very similar to Zulu/ Nguni tradition too! We call it shisa/ tshisa/ chisa nyama instead of nyama choma.
I loveee carnivore. It was so tasty. The ostriche tasted almost like chicken though it had a wonderful smoky flavour. The crocodile is pretty tough though it has an amazing tangy flavour. All and all an amazing restaurant😀😀
We may have different skin color and cultures, but I’m sure we can all appreciate the various ways food is prepared and the taste of it :) Love for all -A Korean

as a fellow african, i can tell this girl is VERY rich. not a lot of families own ranches
almost every maasai live on community ranches. tens of thousands of acres
She's a Maasai, most of them own livestock. It's like saying a farmer is rich because he owns his farm.

Love carnivore ... went to the one in Johannesburg... venison, crocodile, kudu, zebra, impala besides turkey, chicken, beef and lamb
they used to serve all that but the govt clamped down because of illegal hunting. but in SA i here hunting is still legal
