We sent them up 50 Makita drills with batteries and chargers a year ago, and i haven't had a single one in for repair yet. And im a makita warranty repair agent here, so they would be sent to me.
Hilti are no better quality now than any other brand, they simply cost 3 times the price. A hire company is all they are now.
@@deandohertygreaser WELL SAID - if the consumer or the local repair man can't buy the tools when it's past its 1 year or 3 year warranty then whats the point! And then if the motor is nearly the cost of the tool its naughty.
@@deandohertygreaservery good info,Makita build for last😊
Mr dean regarding to Festool how can hard can be get the spare parts?
festool parts are very easy to get and are a good price also. their wedsite has a spare parts section you can look up the parts like and diagram for every machine and they even give you the price of each part. Copy the part number and google it. loads of shops sell the parts online.
@@deandohertygreaser Thanks for you're response on that - wondered what Festool were like for parts and supply...
Is there no way to bypass the kill switch?
not that im aware of. you could wire the motor directly from the switch, but then you will loose your hammer action as it will no longer have the correct harmonics from the speed control
There’s no way to bypass that red light?
Imagine if you complete the repair. Start testing it and then the light comes on 😂
At least you can still get parts. Hiti NL doesn't let you order any parts at all, no matter who you are. Only option would be to go to a Hilti store, order the parts there and pay them straight away.
Their heavy machines are good quality tools, but when it comes to service f*$# Hilti.
Fewer Hilti = More DeWalt! LOL!
Sawblades can b chiselled ? Lik scribe n chisel is that possibl
🤘😎🤘
But I thought you were the bossman?!
Thanks for the info on Hilti, I now know to avoid.
He isn't he works in the shop for the bigman - he is obviously valued no doubt though if he is cranking out such quality repairs for YT imagine the ones he doesn't have time to film repairing.
Plus they will have a look at drop in repairs from what I can gather the same day if they are loyal long time customers.
@@shifty277 Thanks for the info!
@@CrookedSkew No probs. All stuff Dean has mentioned in his previous videos.
The Hilti is as bad as the Epson printer scam where an otherwise fully working the printer tells you the waste ink system has reached the end of its working life after printing a fixed number of pages and bricks itself. You have the send it back to Epson or scrap it. Barstewards all!
Nice informative video.Servicing Hilti looks like a stealthy deal!!😂
No sound?
First!
Yeah, I don't think I'd like the idea of being held hostage by a computer chip that HAS to be reset by the manufacturer!!! It doesn't matter how awesome a machine is, if it can only be turned back on again by the manufacturer they can charge whatever they want or you can't have your tool working again. I thought there was a law against that ....... competition commission or something. i.e. how can you have a fair price if it can only be done by one company? 🤔
Seems that all you need is a red laser light to reset the service lamp:

tried that, its BS
@@deandohertygreaser yes not all you see and hear on YT can be trusted - in particular the 'free' energy machines.
Av never taken to Hilton, they are very overpriced, and overrated
Lol so Hilti
hilti tools are crap...and parts are very expensive. better off with makita.
Dean, please please pelase stop pampering to the Americans with things like C-Clip when it's a circlip and snug for hand tight. Yes, I know they call them snap rings but C-Clip is just as bad
c clip is short for circlip. and when i say cir without sounding even more rural.
Obserlesence every company that make these powers tools will be jumping on the band wagon
It's all about scaming more money out you guys so any company that does this like hilti then you guys that use those tools just black list those companies there scaming hard working people
