just so you know Pelourinho is the upper city it was chosen bc of its strategic location ( being able to see incoming ships), the public services were and continue to be concentrated there. the lower city had a lot less initial development and the effects are still felt today, the lower city is where the Suburbana is which is where I lived in Salvador. a cidade baixa é perfeita 😍

As I’m sure you heard, it’s as lively as what Rio is normally at its peak. Not sure what you have all planned but if you’re able to, here are a few places worth checking out...Porto da Barra (popular beach), islands tours of Ilha dos Frades and Ilha de Itaparica, Praia de Guarajuba (try the mocheca again, this time on the beach) and the awesome village Praia de Forte. Also the little city tour is great. Enjoy meu amigos 👍🏻😉

The oil palm culture is probably the one with the greatest growth potential in the world among cultures of economic significance. Brazil has the greatest global potential for the production of palm oil, due to the nearly 75 million hectares of land suitable for oil palm, with emphasis on the states of Pará, Bahia and Amapá, the main palm oil producers in the country. Popularly known as guinea palm, demdem (Angola), dende palm and dendê coconut palm, palm was brought to Brazil by slaves and adapted well to the humid tropical climate of the North and Northeast regions It is considered the most productive oilseed that exists, surpassing the production of sunflower, castor and soy. After all, one hectare with oil palm yields 5 tons of oil per year, while soybean, only 500 kilos and castor oil, 700 kilos of oil per year. The promising oil palm culture in Brazil has opened doors for the use of its oil to obtain biodiesel, which can replace or be mixed with diesel oil derived from petroleum.

Lol Why everyone who goes to Salvador only visits one area? The city is huge. When I come to Salvador, I wll be the first one to go to other parts of the city haha

Pelourinho is the most turist part, but you also have to visit farol da Barra, Ribeira, Itapuã. And instead of praia do forte go to itacimirim, around 5km before praia do forte, its less turist but more beautiful, try to look the sea board during low tide it has the most beautiful natural pool you will every see

Q&A: I discovered your channel yesterday and I already loved it! So, what was your favorite place in Brazil so far?
Also, there are two places in Brazil that I recommend you to visit: Jalapão(in the state of Tocatins) and Lençóis Maranhenses(in the state of Maranhao, but its better to go between February and May - which is the period when there is more water and not just sand)!!

Wow, I’m so impressed with your videos in my country; I’m living in Canada for almost 2 years, and for the first time living outside Brazil, I realized how beautiful my country is, I have never been to those places before. When you had lunch in that restaurant, with that musician testing the sound I started to laugh (hahaha sorry ) because I noticed how noisy is our restaurants.
It's been amazing watching all these videos, I noticed simples things that I had in Brazil that I never thought about before. I'm missing so much my country, our cuisine, our beaches, and nature. Enjoy our country and thanks for sharing with us all these experiences ;)
You are doing super well without knowing Portuguese because I'm still struggling with English lol

Que os baianos me informem... É possível comer Feijoada junto com moqueca de camarão, ou essa mistura explosiva pode mandar a pessoa para outro mundo ? Acho que as baianas até pouparam eles. Só deram a moqueca.

17:25 - Portuguese and Spanish languages are very similar. We brazilian can understand 50% to 90% percent of spanish during some talking (It depends on the talking subject), but it's only possible when a NATIVE spanish speaker is involved, when it comes to be a NON NATIVE speaker it get really hard to understand.

Hi, guys! I'd suggest the following places: (1) In the state of Maranhão: Lençóis Maranhenses. (2) in the state of Ceará: Jericoacoara. (3) In the North: Manaus and Belém. (4) In the South: Florianópolis, Curitiba, and Gramado. (5) In the state of Mato Grosso do Sul (midwest): Bonito.

No Maranhão a Chapada das Mesas (Carolina, Riachão) também é excelente pra turismo de natureza. Os Lençóis Maranhenses nesta época podem estar parcialmente secos, a temporada de chuvas está começando agora por aqui.

Q.A.: Hi there... First of all, congratulations for all the amazing videos of Brazil so far. Keep up with the amazing work. Being 100% honest and sincere, The Travelbum is, at least for me, better than Kara and Nate. Your channel has this unique personality, and I just love the style and the way you both communicate with the public. Never change that. My question is what video editor you use to edit your videos and who of you does that job? Thanks and "FORTE ABRAÇO" !!! :)

I would recommend you to find a local guide for a better cultural immersion. Maybe try some religious experience. In Bahia catholic religion mix with black ancestry traditions like in no other place! That’s why the religious traditions in Bahia are an immaterial heritage of Brazil! Maybe a local guide could help you with that!
