Salvador is the brazilian black mecca. Rio de Janeiro and São Luis do Maranhão are also other cities rich in african heritage, to a lesser extent there is also Recife and Olinda and Vila Velha in Espirito Santo.
Is there a big black presence in MG?
@@sincity5268 I have not been to Minas Gerais, but I have met many people with some visible african heritage from there, mostly from the capital Belo Horizonte, I would say it's a pretty mixed state.

The city looks great,the people are very welcoming and upbeat. The ladle how was talking you around and nones her job,the food looks delicious.The beach looked lovely,the water was clear.
Another interesting city up the coast is Sao Luis de Maranhao. It was called the reggae capital of Brazil. It’s worth checking out.

I love Gamboa (the first place in the video). Met some nice people in there on my first visit. Found it by just walking aorund. That first restaurant is great - Lingua do Siri. But I recommend going all the way to the other side of the favela where they have bars right on the edge of the ocean and a pier where the kids jump off of the dock and into the sea while doing some acrobatics.. Great vid
The alcohol in those caipirinhas must've been working because you kept calling them cappuccinos.😂

51:54 - is Museu Náutico da Bahia - Farol da Barra (Lighthouse). You can go in and learn more history of Bahia. They have information about the indigenous and replicas of the slave ships that ported there.
Now that's a place i would love to visit.
