Wow, I'm honestly not sure where to start with how good this is. The colors, the characters, the story, the music, the animation. It's kind of crazy how two people who care about each other (couples, friends, or family) can get into heated arguments over small things just because both parties want to be right. We lose track of what's important in favor of our ego. This short really hit home on that. The music fit so well. I like how it carries the action and takes over for the dialogue in a fitting way. It speaks for itself, in a sense, along with the action. Your composer(s)/music people did a phenomenal job. I hope you thanked them a lot, haha. The primary color color-palette was a nice choice. The cooler blues, cyans, and chartreuse colors with red highlights here and there really held every scene together and made it feel like a cohesive film. I know that we (the viewers) see things more from the guy's POV and childhood, so it's no surprise that every little detail about his past was so cool to see. He had such a plethora of hobbies and life experiences shown in a rich yet concise manner. I personally connected with the emo music, photography, and having a favorite toy as a kid that was bird-related and red. There were clearly stages of the woman's life that were hinted at when the guy returned with his "past selves" and, although we didn't get to see her memories, I think seeing her enter his memories was enough. Just the way she poses while he's taking pictures of her speaks volumes. Not in a bad way, it just shows that she noticed and finds the act of him photographing her to be flattering. Lastly, I would like to thank you and your team for taking the time to craft this animated short. For every little sketch you likely made while dreaming up this idea, for the storyboards, for the animatic, for the revisions, for the animation, for the cleanup, for the coloring, all of it. You all stuck with it and made something beautiful. Keep up the good work and may you find another project to pour yourself into!
This video deserves so much more it’s truly inspiring and teaches you about your self I was thinking about myself when watching and I just love this video all around, and the art style is fantastic
U know, sometimes i wounder, how youtube is gradually getting stupider, by getting full of content with the price of a billion but the value of fvcking nothing. This animation is rad and full of nothing but disgusting animators hard work and inspiration that the Artist had to come up with, prior. This is amazing and obviously underrated.
I love when an animation just fullfills in technique as the story needs. The way you solve the frame time travel is way more ilustrative than any super smooth animation. I love your work man, keep on it! (Sorry for my english, I'm from Mexico).
I need more of this. I need more of this feeling and to remember that we are not talking just with an adult we could be talking with a little girl or boy at damaged in his childhood.
I always look back on my past mistakes and problems ... relationships can be mended in the most easiest of ways. Just gotta find the sinew that binds you both together rather than tears you apart. Cuz honestly some arguments are totally taken the wrong way and are silly as hell.
I liked that. I really liked that. They're connecting on a deeper level. That was really cool. Great story telling. You and the team are going places. :)
Beyond the animation style, this video tells a heartwarming story, and is a reminder that we are all a product of our past but we have the power to change our present as long as we are open to those around us. Overall, well done!
I just realized the foreshadowing at 0:56 where the photo of the boy appears between the shadows of the two silently arguing. It almost looks like the boy in the picture is reacting to what is going on in the present. I wonder if that was intentional? I hope so. It has the effect of tuning us in to the coming actual relationship between the child and the adult that we will see later.
The use of the childhood versions of the characters to influence the adult versions reminded me a little bit of "Only Yesterday" (Studio Ghibli). Good job!
THIS, THIS, I, it’s just so gorgeous, so wonderful! The style, colours, the story, just, thank you so much for this masterpiece. You need SO MUCH more recognition.
You should make more videos such like these! Trust me it will grow cuz more matter what good art can never be hidden for long just keep on doing this never stop, u have a beautiful gift to put somebody feeling or thoughts into visual sense ❤️
Nobody's going to comment on him sitting down on the dirty ass sidewalk, and just laid back, like he was in bed.. when he came back he said "I've been thinking about the argument we had LAST NIGHT". So, that means he must have passed out right there on the sidewalk, or maybe this was about a homeless guy, and not controlling your anger? 😄
Isso é lindo, me faz refletir sobre minhas diversas versões ao longo da caminhada cronológica. Sempre que lembro deste vídeo venho aqui sentir esse conforto.
The way the childhood toy is the thing that changes the scene is AMAZING. It's so creative and original!
Thank you! 🤗 I started the whole concept with that single idea

Im thinking that if me and my younger selves would live in a household as siblings, Chaos will ensue
I had that idea at some point haha

Healing inner child wounds is the path to self-love and positive change. 🥰
This animation is just beautiful. Especially coming from a similar situation.
Thank you! I’m glad the message resonates well
They are all of us🥰 What a beautiful representation of one's inner child, and making peace with the past to move forward ❤️
The use of the childhood versions of the characters to influence the adult versions reminded me a little bit of "Only Yesterday" (Studio Ghibli). Good job!
