0:32 is amazing, each movement flows perfectly to the next one and is very dynamic. I also love how cool and chad like he is despite being a garbage worker, it’s some nice contrast.

Everyone's talking about some of the later animations, but that first one was so damn good.
I don't know why, but some people can make animated characters be better actors than real life actors, better conveying all the little mannerisms etc.
3:51 is literally all middle-school relationships with the cringy pick-up lines and high expectations. ❤️❤️
3:26 is clearly the most well done on the mothers end. Or maybe she's an aunt or stepmother. Either way, the expressions are so spot on that I nearly punched a hole through my screen.

1:52 Stunning animation, though I personally think some decisions don't fit the scene in the slightest.

Sometimes that's the point and just what makes animation so endearing. Exaggeration is very cool!
@@MellowJelly that's kind of the point of animation. The actions are supposed to be very over the top so that the message is very clearly communicated.
I couldn't stop laughing and smiling. The voice is Alan Watts but the exaggerated expression made it perfect because his words are very expressive.

3:26 I love this one! Everything is so realistic and good from the facial expressions down to the hand movements. It looks as if you 3d animated someone acting

honestly this is very good I enjoy seeing the student showcases for what they have managed to do. I still wish I could join your guys's program but sadly atm I couldn't either way. I'd have to say my favorite of these clips is either 4:31 or 0:49

Although the mechanics an range of motion looks amazing I cant but notice that most of the acting is overdone. I can not imagine a Pixar or Disney film with none stop over the top acting and emotions. It would great to see some work with more subtle nuanced acting which would really push the bar up toward believability. Still really cool work!
Students go way overboard to try to show their acting ability and it's a lot to take in

felicia martin's is so professional! you get the whole picture immediately and the whole flow of the scene is dynamic enough to keep you interested without being over the top
My most sincere congratulations to all the animators! Every single clip was amazing in its own way, no matter the style. So many talents that I can't wait to see their creations! I love animation films and this showcase was delightful to watch!

4:30 is my favorite, probably because it's most honest:) Somehow all other acting choices are the standard hyper-energetic personalities; just because it's animation it does not have to be all flailing and jumping from one hyper expressive pose to the next. Not a single piece would fit a Ghibli film. Nevertheless, impressive work and congrats to all!
2:28 is my fav not just because it’s. BEAUTIFUL but be the animator is from Maryland! The best state everrrrr!!

Would it kill em to not try and emulate Disney? like 2:47 and the last one. Most of these lacked identity. Great smooth animation and all that, they're all talented as hell, but we should push creativity rather than fitting into Disney's mold.
