Weezer performed on Saturday as a part of the nightly concert series of the PGA Tour Fortinet Championship, September 13-19. The Wallflowers performed on Friday and Chase Rice on Thursday. The stage was set up on the Silverado Mansion Lawn and the concerts started a few hours after the golf tournament had ended for the day.
Last week, Metallica released 'The Metallica Blacklist', a 53-track collection of 'unique interpretations' of songs from The Black Album, by a range of artists, and Weezer contributed 'Enter Sandman' to the anniversary album. Coincidentally, Metallica played a surprise show in San Francisco at The Independent, a 500-capacity venue just a few days earlier!

Rivers always amazes me with his ability to play anything! You can tell he just loves music so much and he enjoys playing a variety. Weezer nailed this song, and come on, that little Buddy Holly accent was very satisfying haha! Weezer forever =W=

You have every right to your opinion, I imagine that others share it, but it's not the case for everyone, quite the contrary, since that's how I gain subscribers.
I swear, Weezer has just basically become a cover band now. The last time I saw them right before the pandemic, their set had 7 or 8 covers in it. Way too much. I came to hear Weezer songs damn't!
They only had 3 covers in this set, and only 3 in their last solo show (between Hella Mega dates)

Also this cover actually makes sense because they recorded it for the Metallica Blacklist tribute album that just came out. Not to mention it fits pretty well with the Van Weezer rock vibe.
