Great tutorial. Future suggestion: when attempting to show a controlled card in a tutorial, flip it over so it can easily be tracked among the other cards.

goddamn ur brilliant, mate! I thought I was the only one who wanted to see this. I'm so sick and tired of these cardistry experts making videos and not showing an exposed view from the bottom of the deck!!!!!!!!

I love the way you teach magic. You're very concise and you show multiple angles, which really helps.
Thanks for your great tutorials, I have been in magic 45 years and I have learned from you. Next time you want to show under the deck what is happening just do it over a large mirror. Thanks again. Magic Art. Las Vegas
Since we're among friends, if you turned the chosen card face up, the contrast makes it easier to see for some demonstrations (such as this one). Never thought about a mirror. Great idea. You just need something bigger than a phone. ;-)
Maybe this will help beginners like myself (been doing card magic for exactly 4 days). Instead of gently opening up the spread with a nice even spread starting with the top card, take a nice chunk off of the top and get to the center of the deck pretty quickly so your mark is picking from the middle to bottom half of the deck. This allows for a smoother cull since the card doesn't have to clear so much of the remaining deck. If they take from the top half, the target card has to drop pretty far to clear and you may end up flashing. I was working on this in front of a full length mirror and could see every move, but when i started ripping big chunks off of the top of the spread, it made the move much less angle sensitive. Once you get good at that, start moving further forward in the deck.
I have very small hands. To avoid flashing I changed my spread grip to have my right index finger over the top edge of the deck. This way even when my handling is sloppy (i'm training the move by culling all the cards of the same suit for example and I began magic 10 days ago) I have no flash. I find the move very little angle sensitive with the index finger covering the top. Actually it is angle sensitive, the worst angle is from my eyes, which should not be an issue haha!
Your tutorials are excellent. You explain things in a clean, clear manner, and it's a refreshing change from all the crap out there. Good job! And thank you!
I have a good tip to move the bottom card easily : Left hand holds the deck in dealing positon and takes a pinky break on the bottom card, right hand moves the deck forward (just a little) to get a backward jog of the bottom card. Then the right hand comes and hold the deck with the inner side of the right little finger touching the jogged bottom card and the 3 right fingers below the deck. With the deck now in the right hand, you naturally have a grip of the top and bottom card and with only a slight pressure of the right hand fingers you can move the top and bottom cards to the right while the left hand starts spreading the deck open (both actions happening at the same time)
And even better, when you tap the deck to show the "selected" card : the inner side of the right little finger is still laying on the bottom side of the deck, so it naturally helps to square the deck perfectly so the forced card does not appear unlogically jogged.
cheers !
Nice job. Excellent explanation of a powerful control.
This trick + Hot Shot= MAGIC
thats what i thought too when i saw this trick yet cant flourished it well guess my deck is not that smooth
This really isn`t a trick, it is a technique...don`t waste it as a trick unless you use some form of Time misdirection....as a trick it has very limited use, as a technique you can make a huge amount of routines based on this one and a single 2.nd move
no matter how many times i watchthe very first one i dont see a flash and i even know, what im looking for, really well done
Finally I could do it , and finally someone could teach it right thank you man
You should film under the deck and than save the video and put it on the screen as a little box.
This one is great.
Ive been looking for techniques like this.
Thanks man im gonna go practice
this was a GREAT tutorial. i really like this cotrol
great card control! this is super clean and almost fool proof. the only problem i have is my crappy, sticky deck when i slide the selected card under the spread. but thank you for the tutorial very helpful!
One of the easiest, best, most powerful card force definitely
Awesome tutorial by the way
I love it's back design and It's quite good for flourishes
I really like those cull controls.
Here's a tip if your having trouble with pulling the chosen card out of the pack without pulling the entire top of it off:
When about to pull the card out instead of just pulling it out, use your left hand thumb and touch the 3 of the cards that are above the chosen card, this helped me stop the cards that followed it.
Hope this helped! And gl.
well this is a very awesome way of controlling the cards and i really like to combine it with the hotshot cut cause it looks really really smooth and that your picking a random card... man this asad dude is a beast xD. tnx for the cool vid
0:23 mindfuck
Great tricks and tutorials
Hi that's a neat control technique and not to difficult to perform, and yet very convincing to the spectator. liked it very much great tutorial well explained nice one, cheers
That's easy, Can you do a cull triumph, cleanly?
tip: dont blink
Fr bro i feel like if i miss what color of card was i was going to get fooled lmao
Culling cards is something i find very cool and...sleight of handish? So yeah thanks for the tutorial :D
Awesome control! I'll try to do it good!
U should put a mirror
THIS
This is awesome in combination with the hot shot
That was epic. Totally using it on performances.
Thank you, that tutorial really helped me
Thank you I have almost mastered this
Okay I love the trick but I think what would make it really cool is if u added a hot shot cut to the end of the culling part.
Excellent !
Asad try using a small mirror for under the deck view.
Ugh, keeps sticking to the card above it so I have to hold back the other card with my left thumb
Just what I was looking for.
nice control
Cool video! Thanks!
Love your videos
can you make a tutorial for the roadrunner cull I know how its done but I think you can explain it a little more in depth thanks
@52 kards I love your tricks n flourshes but I was wondering if you could start doing a giveaway every month because your cards are amazing and I only have plastic coated cards and I love the smoke n screen cards and other ones but my mom doesnt trust sites so can you please do a giveaway ever month for your subscribers that would be AWSOME!!! :)
This is awesome! Thumbs up!
thanks for the tutorial.
very helpful move!
could you do a tutorial on a multiple card cull control?
You could always film from the bottom with the iphone and then place that video within the top view OTS video
It would be nice to do the full-speed demonstration once again at the end
Hey man!
Which card-force do you do??
Can you please do a tutorial on it?? 52Kards
Thanks very much
I like this one I will use it
CRUCIAL TIP!! put your thumb on the left most spread card so the spread pack stays in place when retracting the chosen card. This bugged me for ages
niiiiiiice - thanks a lot
really nice
That was prerty cool thanks for making a tutorial
Thanks buddy I subbed.
good idea
can you do tutorial for the multiple shift ?
Hey friend just a small tip maybe next time use a mirror, still good video
Thanks so much!
Sick deck
From magic books, I suspect Asad uses Card college but Royal road to Card magic (by Jean Hugard if you are looking on Amazon) is good and cheap
nice thank you
What deck do u recommend for starting on cardistry?
+Pequeno Griffer
While we wait for 52K to chime in, I will say Richard Turner Gold Star Bicycle 808 cards are really good. I like to use Bicycle 808 backs, because everyone is familiar with them, The Gold Star version is cut the traditional way, not punched out. It does not get fuzzy on the edges and collect grime as much as the Standard version. GS cards are made from Bee stock, which is better for manipulation. They require little if any break-in.
a good one
Charity: water Playing cards. You can find them on Theory11.
Very useful! You're great!!! :D
u should combine this with the hot shot cut
Thanks I are awesome Assad
Used deck charity water yellow !!
where did you learn it
Awesome
The reason your spread closes is because you have to clamp down with your left thumb so it doesn't close and you can then should be able to do this cull. This is the easiest version by the way. Im trying to learn how to separate black cards from red cards whole deck.
Perfect!
I figured out how he did it before he said. It happens really fast but it can be caught. Very clever trick, however.
Well there's only one way to do it, but its awesome.
great control.. but still saw dat control on first watch
Were do u get your cards ?
I cant do the thing properly when he splits the deck to two and each side 2:47
You should have upload the video on the iPhone
is there a way of making the card controlled to the top?
Single card herman pass after having closed the spread works for me. I gather the cards with the hands, move the deck verticaly to finish squaring it thanks to gravity, this helps hide the single card herman pass.
You can also put the culled card back in the deck and cut it to control it to the top, but in that case you didn't need to cull in the first place, you could just setup a pass for example.
You can do an overhand shuffle where you run the last cards, that way the bottom card ends up on top. Spread closed, deck shuffled. Boom, done.
You could have put your phone to record and spliced in the footage
Where did you learn all this stuff?
Is it a plastic Deck
so powerful!
nice
you need to play on top of a mirror ....but cool trick thx ))))
what deck is that
i do this with the herman pass
Culling isnt about speed. Is more about rhyme. Offbeat. And if you only going to control the selection to the bottom I will be more effective is using the David Solomon silder card control 还有 牌展成这样也是醉了
Cool
i want to buy some OF that CARD
cool
Use this with Hotshot, and you now have a powerful trick. thank me later
Cool man ;-)
Okay how do u get it from the bottom to top now lol
overhand shuffle?
If you want the selected card to go to the top, don't use spread cull. Maybe use a double undercut (I'm new to magic, learning with you)
Awesome :))))))))
You got to invest in a mirror or something just to lay at the bottom....hahaha
👍
Thanks for your tutorials but very often your technic is very rough and I see almost always the secret at first look.
