My wife complains that I spend too much time "playing with my cards" and that I should go outside and get some exercise.
So I told her "I am going out to JOG, taking a BREATHE often, one STEP at a time"

You know, it's crazy how those 2 books which sit on most of our shelves, keep drawing us back to them. Right when you think you've seen all the obscure hidden gems, bam, there's more!
Great thoughts Jeremy, I appreciate your analytical approach and theoretical discussion. Much love🖤

Out of all the videos I've watched and learned from for the past 6 years I've never come across this little tidbit of information. This is the easiest way to keep track of cards. I'm never going to stop using this now. I've been practicing more and more complex stuff lately and it seems I truly don't have to. The physics of this is truly perfect. I wish all sleight-of-hand could get to a point of physics doing most of the work...lol.

Jeremy, I generally never watch magicians on TH-cam. After being around cards for 50 years, I generally have little patience for most card handlers. That being said, you give me hope for the next generation of close up magicians. Thank you!

Wow. I had it totally wrong: I thought I was supposed to tilt the packet being dropped. That doesn’t work at all and gives a horrible smear, I just assumed this move was really optimistically written. Tilting the correct packet worked perfectly first time, what a lovely surprise. Thanks for setting me straight!!

LOl, when you mentioned "advanced things like classic force" I went immidiately to those links from your last video.
I never actually tried those things mentioned there, mostly because I almost dont perform, I just enjoy sitting with cards and practicing, but I did occasionally ask ppl after the trick was performed to tell me exactly what they remember how it gone. And God, was I surprised. So much that I tried to say to them IN ADVANCE "okay, Im gonna show you a trick, try to observe really carefully, and Im gonna ask you after to tell me what happened" and God almighty, was I surprised even more.
It opened a whole new doors in this craft of deception. It is SO easy to trick ppl. Evden the most observing, even magicians. Ofc, if you know what he knows.
When one time I stumbled onto talks about magic and revealations on YT, I think it was Justin Miller and someone else, how its gonna destroy the magic.
I sad this: Kostya Kimlat, Fool Us.
Guy literally performed a trick he KNEW they will recognize in advance and know what is the effect. Therefore breaking the rule once performance two times tutorial. He did it to guys who, at least one of them, is pretty knowledgeable about magic. And he didnt just fooled them, he FLOORED them.
And the method? Sleight which EVERY card enthusiast learns among frst five. Literally EVERY person learns key card, crimps, culls, double lifts, and so on.
He does it under their noses. Theres your revealing, put that in your pipe and smoke it. I look at me, in these days, what fools me the most are damn crimps.. Like, its a circle. The moment you start to watch for lateral swivel steals and undertows, you become vulnerable to breathers. And self working tricks :)
PS. Great vid Jeremy, as always

I'm really impressed by the fact that you spend so much time on the "basic" ideas of card magic. For us, the lazy ones trying to learn everything on the internet, it's really helpful. We (and most content creators actually) tend to skip all those little details, coz' they seem less sexy.
I know that it would be a million time easier for you to make views if you started by teaching all the insane stuff you have on instagram, and yet you don't. I'm glad you have that courage.
So I wonder : are you planning to make it all the way to concepts and moves and routines with this much details ? Or do you want to stick to "everything that the rest of the world forgets" ? ;)
Anyway, keep up the good work, I'll be watching ! Love from France !
