Yours is my favorite review of the 992. Driving her on the track allowed you to demonstrate handling characteristics that others could not. That fact alone created far more excitement for me than all other reviews combined. I appreciate you are a more than competent driver, capable of demonstrating the kind of fun a lot of us will get to enjoy on occasions when a fine section of road appears and no-one is in sight who might take issue. You gave appropriate time and attention to comfort, style and practicality points. In that regard, thank you for not measuring the boot space or climbing into the rear seat. You showed them to me, drew logical conclusions as to their usefulness and moved on. Camera work was excellent, with drone footage deserving special mention. Lastly, this video being my introduction to you, you present yourself as a qualified Dude, whose man-card is properly endorsed. If you lived in Arizona, USA, we'd be friends. Thank you for the effort and resources you put into creating such high quality content. EDIT: Since writing this comment, I've come to realize you are a rock star among auto reviewer. Why is Harris so good? He has the confidence to be himself without adding unnecessary comedy (which is why I feel Top Gear the program butchers his delivery). Brilliant character, brilliant driver, brilliant reviewer.

In fact, I am used to dealing with British people, I learnt english in a British academy and I have no problem whatsoever understanding Harris. And no, by no means, I am not Finnish nor Scandinavian.

I own a 2016 3.8 N/A 991 GTS. I plan to keep it for sure after seeing the new 992! The car has become to digital! I dislike the gauges and the little baby shifter! The lower front end is so.... dull and boring looking. Especially for a 100k plus car! And the cup holders that you can find on any cheap ass car! I do like the rear end of the car. Except for the Cheap plastic rear engine vents! Like really!! But the best thing about this car is that Chris Harris is reviewing it. :)

He is a proper car reviewer. He makes all these other rich TH-camrs pale in comparison. He's a proper driver and shows how a supercar works and drives, he doesn't just go around a little showing off and changing gear randomly to make you hear the engine noise.
I agree because that is his profession. Now the rich folks on youtube is very good in their profession as well in making money. Money doesnt come free for losers .

My favorite car reviewer in a new 911....all is right with the world.
A yellow Porsche, something about it grabs my heart strings. The 1985 film Commando with Arnold Schwarzenegger, yes ever since that beauty in the movie, I love Porsche.

Ok Mr. Harris. I have been watching lots of people video car reviews. I must say, you are one of the best, especially how you really express with emotion both the good and not so good finer points of the cars. Now, I love cars, especially sports cars and I’m a pretty good driver. Now that I’m in my 50s and my kids grown and almost out of the house and somewhat out f my pockets, I have some free time to enjoy my life. I’m actually to attend another exotic car drive event in Bridgewater, New Jersey in August. I did this last year when I turned 50 and drove my first Lamborghini Hurrican in bright yellow. I had to loud and bold. LOL. Anyway, the reason I’m righting you is after watching a number of your video, I want to know how can I do what you do? I expect you would need to have years of driving skills as you do , but I’m sure I could learn pretty quick. Plus I would greatly enjoy it. 😁. So, if you have any advice or can steer me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Be well. Cheers. Marcus

Amazing car for sure but I think the rear lights make it look too much like a two door Panamera.

A brilliant car review as usual. I drive a 17 year old Boxster S & it’s great fun. But I still can’t imagine what it’s like to drive a new 911. It looks awesome, sounds awesome & the price is way beyond anything I could ever afford. 👍👍👍

The GT3 will be turbo charged. It has to be. They had to turbo charge to meet the fuel economy and emissions mandates.

shoulda put it in sport plus for track driving, would have quickened up the shifts on the excellent new 8 speed PDK as well as allowed for more slip angle and decreased body roll. Can say from driving one on track, it's outstanding overall
In 2009 I was transitioning from my duty station in Hawaii to Germany. I desperately wanted to have a 911 in Germany, but there simply weren't any available in my price-range in Hawaii. So, I went with a Corvette (which was still great on the autobahn). Now, in 5 years I'm preparing to retire. 911 4S, here I come.

This lag of the Gearbox/Shift Lever would drive me crazy. Thankfully I couldn't afford even a Golf.
Believe me a 3, 4 year old Golf with low miles on the clock and a manual transmission is around $12k. That's around $250 a month if you finance it. Easily achievable
How can I get over the move towards electric power-steering when I haven't yet encountered one that was as tactile and communicative as, say, the power-steering in an old Mk II Golf GTI? They're all "serviceable" and ok at pretending to give you an idea of what the front wheels are doing, but let's not kid ourselves and pretend they are *better* than hydraulic systems.
The steering is your main form of feedback in any car you drive and plays a huge role in how a car "feels". I can get behind the "get over it"-mantra in an everyday hatchback, a luxury cruiser or even a big sporty sedan like an Audi S6. But in a car like the 911 whose main reason for existing *is* the driving experience?
That handle WILL break down... You can count on that.😁
