The little mermaid is my favourite disney movie forever! I love the music, the characters, and everything is just amazing. I get such a happy feeling watching the little mermaid. And Ariel is one of my fav disney princesses!
Ok so what is really bothering me is that people are always quick to compare Disneylands version with Disney Worlds version both rides are very similar I just don't understand, each ride that Disney makes is unique even if it's a remake. Disneyland updated their little mermaid ride with better lighting and more fish characters which is awesome and Disney world has an awesome Exterior to go with the ride. Some people just need to stop comparing, both parks are awesome both parks are unique and both parks still continue Walt's dream.
What’s cool is that last year when I went to Disney World, we went on this ride twice because there was no line. It was also at night too, anyway, we got to the Scuttle part and he has some audio you might not have heard since the ride can get busy. He says something like, Hey! There’s nobody here right now! Or something like that. It’s creepy but pretty cool to hear at the same time.
Ikr very well made I like the Ariel animatronic, Ursula animatronic, and Prince Eric animatronic I still cannot believe I have *NOSTALGIA* after that ride
I've wanted to go to Disney World so bad, ever since I could remember. If i ever get to go I'll probably cry so much. But it costs sooo much and it probably won't happen anytime soon...
@@thatSCARYguy That's exactly what I'm talking about... How stupid do you think I am? Lol Also I made this comment a year ago, was it really necessary to say that?
Disney really knows how to pull it off: Excellent queue theming to keep the riders engaged in the story and to keep them occupied while waiting, and excellent theming inside as well: The animatronics are fantastic.
I was on edibles when I rode this (chronic pain and illnesses) and right as I was in line they really kicked in, when I got out of the ride (which I loved and enjoyed) my friends pointed out I was wearing my sunglasses the whole time! No wonder it was so dark!
Every Time I hear Ariel sing with her spectacular voice, I can never get Jodi'S SINGING OUT OF MY HEAD, Ariel is one of my favorite Disney princesses , does it go like this I forgot AHHHHH AHH AHH AHHHHH AHHHHH AHH AHH AHH AHH AHHH
I personally love everything they did with the ride. I like how they made the story that they did kiss and break the spell because if they followed the original entire story the ride would've been way too long and some of those battle scenes would be too difficult to create. Not to say that Disney couldn't do it, but it's just unnecessary. Love what they did :)
I appreciate the angles you shoot and how you let me see everything from each step in line, etc. Good editing, too. Never any long, boring stretches. I may never make it to FL to see this so I really appreciate the work you put into these videos for the rest of us Disney fans.
As the father of 2 young girls under he age of 8, I can tell you that I would ride this ride as many times as it would make them happy. My wife and I are huge Disney fans, and took 5 trips to WDW before we had children. Guess What, we rode all the little kid rides too! Can't stand it when I am in the parks and hear people saying "that ride is stupid!" I always feel like saying "That's because your brain lacks the power to comprehend it!"
My husband isn't an 8 y/o girl and he ride the one at DCA and enjoys it. He is usually the one that suggests we ride it. But then, he appreciates all of the detail and work that went into developing it and we love pretty much all the dark rides.
it is me the one who put that comment but from the future i got over that fear a while ago and i mean a while ago (i abandoned that particular google account)
I am 19. I have ridden this ride three times. I love the little mermaid more then anything. This is a great place for adults and kids. I love it. Age has nothing to do with it, a fan of these movies would love it no matter what.
I'M SO EXCITED! I go to Disney World next march and I've been waiting so long for this attraction! I swear i'm gonna cry when I see Eric's castle and hear the music...Ariel's been my favorite since I was little.
I've waited for this ride to exist for FAR too long. The Little Mermaid was my first movie when I was 3 in theaters and I still love it and I'm almost 27 now. Hoping to get back to Disney World next year to finally ride this ride!!!
I don’t know why but like waiting in line in the ride reminds me of the King Kong ride in universal i road cause it’s so familiar cause theres like cool stuff while waiting in line

Uh? I didn't hear anyone making statements...and didn't really hear anyone singing besides the characters. Besides, singing doesn't detract from the experience, really. As long as they're being safe and not endangering people around them, let them have fun. Yes. FUN. It's what people go to do at theme parks. If they're singing, they're having a good time on the ride with their kids. Not at a movie. Don't be a sad sack of sour grapes, man. xP

The part with Scuttle & the crabs in the queue wasn't working- so I'm glad to find a video to show what it was doing! The robotics are amazing! I just love disney & what they do for entertainment! :)
I feel that the Under the sea Ariel animatronic in Florida is better than the one in California because the hair is in a more realistic position that looks better.
I usually like faster paced rides but this ride was just amazing! I love the Little Mermaid so much and I was sooo excited when I heard they were actually making the ride!! The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie from my childhood, and I was really sad how the only thing they had for it in the past was the cheesy 20 minute long musical in Hollywood Studios. MakeupbyJaqueline I think they do. Disney World just doesn't have that feeling I get when I'm in Disneyland! Its so magical (but its just my opinion :)
I feel like the Little Mermaid ride in New Fantasyland is better than the one in Disneyland's California Adventure. Just little changes like lighting and I think the animatronics are a bit better

I loved this! I grew up with The Little Mermaid. I normally love roller coasters but this ride is classic Disney and a must do! GREAT for anyone at any age!

I really liked this ride and I remember when we lining up and the music was playing I danced along to it, not paying attention to who was watching.
Yesterday I went to the Magic Kingdom and at night we got to see a "Dress Rehearsal" of the new Fantasyland. We got to ride this, do Enchanted Tales with Belle, and look at the Be Our Guest dining area. It was worth all the time I spent looking at it over the fence dreaming about how awesome it would be. (Hint: If you go to the park within the next few months, sometimes they'll be doing dress rehearsals at night. If you just act like you know what you're doing and walk right in, you'll be fine)
Wow...they just kinda skipped right over the "scary" stuff. That's my favorite part of rides likes Pirates & Splash. Guess they wanted this to be a little kid ride.

But if you ever get the chance to go and experience a Disney Park for yourself... well lets just say the phrase "tip of the iceberg" comes to mind. :D Just from my own opinion, my best Disney experience... was watching the show Fantasmic for the first time... magical all the way!
This video was posted on my birthday in 2012. October then I love the little mermaid ride I hope to go on it in October this year I might go to Halloween party.

I always loved the little mermaid and when I was little I would say "mommy!! I want to see the Ariel ride!" but there wasn't one and I was super sad but now they made one and it's really good. Disney does a great job on the rides
The ride you saw on the DVD was the idea for the ride, but it was never made. This, well, I have no clue when this came about, I think somewhere in 2009-2010, I just know that it was super amazing and looks even better in person!
The smooth movement of the ride and the “vehicles” remind me of the exact same nature used in The Haunted Mansion and the gorgeous lighting reminds me of Pirates of the Caribbean. No doubt they obviously drew inspiration from those two classics for this ride
This ride seems great, but it seems like they brushed over the "killing Ursula" scene for fear of frightening children... although I agree it could scare some small kids (Such as Snow White's Scary Adventures did when it showed the Evil Witch's death") This just came across as a rushed ending, cheaply done even... they could have at least done more than a cardboard cutout of Ursula spinning away. I'll be riding this myself for the first time on Saturday, so I'll save all other opinions until then. This ride looks amazing, otherwise.
I know Disneyland in California like the back of my hand. Been there so many times and have everything memorized so it's really cool and interesting to see what Disney World has
Omg I really wish I went on this one D: Someday though when I study in Paris--I'll definitely get to Disney parks in Paris and get on the Little Mermaid ride.
They changed the ride up a little since I saw it...of course, I saw the ride when it came out on DVD with The Little Mermaid Special Edition...but still just as good, even if a little cheesy at times (Ariel's voice doing a heart around her and Eric for example) but I can't wait to see it next time I go
I will being turning 42 & still have not gone to Walt Disney World. I look forward to the day that I can go & enjoy this ride.

Loved this ride! Brings out the kid in me everytime!

the animatronics are so impressive
Thank god I never experienced such a long line like that when I have gone lol :P
I know Disneyland in California like the back of my hand. Been there so many times and have everything memorized so it's really cool and interesting to see what Disney World has
disneyland is nothing compared to world.
True
Disney world is bigger and hasmuch more than rides
LMAO wtf i was just saying in my opinion its better. are you seriously getting offended?
MakeupbyJaqueline Everybody on the internet gets offended at everything haha. I like Disneyland much more than disneyworld, but to each their own.
Omg I really wish I went on this one D:
Someday though when I study in Paris--I'll definitely get to Disney parks in Paris and get on the Little Mermaid ride.
Just for your information. This ride is in america orlando florida. Paris doesnt have a little mermaid ride
They changed the ride up a little since I saw it...of course, I saw the ride when it came out on DVD with The Little Mermaid Special Edition...but still just as good, even if a little cheesy at times (Ariel's voice doing a heart around her and Eric for example) but I can't wait to see it next time I go
This attraction looks so nice i'm can don't wait to do this attraction. :)
