Congrats on the new wheels! I know you'll love it. In the southern US, we don't have to worry as much about rust (no salting of the roads). The base Mirage still comes with the steel wheels and hubcaps, which I like. Even though we do get snow & ice sometimes, we don't really need to do snow tires or anything like you need to do in Edmonton. Heated seats aren't needed, so it's not on the base model. No foglights on the base model, but I could get them installed easily if I wanted, as there is a spot and wiring for them. But I never use the foglights on my Honda Fit. It is interesting to see the differences in what's offered in our different countries.
Thank you! Here winters are not as bad as they used to be, very little salt on our roadways these days. I was surprised that Mitsubishi went with a higher optioned base Mirage here in Canada as well, I would have thought being in lock-step with the US would have made more sense as well, I like the steel wheels better, but those will come when I put a winter wheel package on it, I am still in love with the car! Thanks for watching!
A Big Congratulations!!! My first plan is to go over some features, hook up my cell etc.. and then wash it & then coat it with a good wax! those will be my first few videos on it! what color did you go with? Thanks for watching!
Thank you! The Outlander is another great ride from Mitsubishi! , although if I was looking for something a bit larger I would have gone with the RVR (Outlander Sport in the US)
I wish they had more dealers. I would buy one, but I don't want to face a long drive for any service should I buy one. Too many other brands local to me.
No, dealers pay their workers minimum wage for the most part and just push vehicles out the door, so I prefer to not have it done, rather have it done as a half done job! I am on the fence, but I rather have it factory than a tar mess
@@antonionesci8356 not really, just a document fee and the security etching (tried getting out of that one, but it was forced on us, they knew these cars are hard to get so they can tack on them) The other locals dealers had more "mandatory" useless items, so in the end we lived with the security etching.
LOL....that driving camera angle was straight wack bro...what were you thinking?......good little car for city driving....gotta be terrifying on the highway tho...yikes!
ahaha yeah I will improve the camera angle POV for my next shot at a driving video! The car actually performs excellent on the highway, even at speeds over 130 km/hr, it felt stable, no problems!
We wanted to go with a Hatch Back, plus I previously owned a Mirage and they are underrated. I would not consider a Toyota Product, I have a 2023 Tundra and looking to sell it as its been a big disappointment, so that was never an option. I am in the "less is more" crowd now!
@@corradettimotorsports360 I have heard that Toyota has been going downhill a lot in recent years. You are one of many that have been unhappy with them recently. It's always good to get out ahead of the curve. I had considered a Corolla hatchback, until I heard that Toyota is no longer what they once were. Plus, the Corolla would've been about 6-8K more, and there would be no way to escape all the latest "safety" technology that I don't want. Nissan also has all the latest technology, and was about 3-5K more, plus they don't have the best reputation for their cars lasting a long time, but they could be improving.
@@OklahomaCoasterFan I agree, and as a Toyota Owner, I did not have a good experience with them, plus they no longer make a Mirage equivalent, prices keep going up and up these days, when people look back in a couple years , they will miss cars like the Mirage!
@@corradettimotorsports360 Thing I hate about the hatchback is how close to the rear of the car that back seat is. Been rearended a couple of times, last one totaled my car a Honda Fit, so no more hatchbacks for me.

I was looking into these here in Montreal, but I am quite sad the 5spd isn't offered anymore.
you and me both! 2023 was the last year for the manual and hubcaps!
got mine tomorrow 2024 es too , canadian trim , would love more videos about it for sure first things to do for mine : anti rust and tinted windows

Congratulations on your new ride! 😃 I have a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander with 147k running nice and strong, just oil and filter maintenance.

Good timing. It’s going to be discontinued after this year. I love mine.
yeah no kidding! the dealer got the last batch and really increased the price! (probably a dumb move too)
A base model with FOG lights!! 😮😮😮
Yeah, they put a lot of content in the base model here in Canada, this is how basic you can go in a Mirage now in Canada.

I agree, they are spread too thin in smaller / rural areas! having a dealer near by is super important, especially if its still under warranty!
Nice rig mate, only thing it needs is some sweet mag wheels 😎
yeah a nice set of wheels would be the cherry on top!
Being Canada 🇨🇦 Do you undercoat the vehicle?

how much was it?
It came to just under 21K out the door!

Did you consider any other cars? A Nissan versa or Sentra. Even a Corolla in a base trim can be had for a couple of grand more. Just wondering.
