    Numbers! That's the first thing I learned. I learned them before I learned hiragana. 1,2,3 and 10 were easy, all the others took a bit longer to learn. Number 4 kinda looks like a window with curtains. I work in a window manufacturing company and we have to count all the windows we build. When it's my turn to count I use the kanji. Makes it easier for me to remember them when I use them every day and If I don't use them I might forget them. That's what happened with my Swedish. I studied Swedish for 6 years and when I stopped using the language and I forgot almost everything.

    Your series on the kanji helps to de-mystify them for me. When I first saw them, they appeared to be random squiggles. Now, having gone through this deries, I feel quite comfortable with them, even if I cannot read them. And feeling comfortable with the kanji, I find it easier to read them and to learn them.

    Both 友達が三人 and 三人の友達 mean exatcly the same? Is there any difference?

    • @JapaneseAmmowithMisa
      @JapaneseAmmowithMisa  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In a sentence, "友達が三人います" and "三人の友達がいます" are the same but the first one is a lot more common. But for example when a title is "3 friends", it'd be "三人の友達", basically when it's just "number of ~".
