@@antonindolohov1277 Oh believe me! Not a lot just some. But I’ve seen the comments myself. Also I don’t want people to think of me as some hater of GI. Because I honestly think he was one of the best villains that Rebels had to offer besides Thrawn and Vader. Maul stated he couldn’t take on vader alone. I wonder if he already survived a previous encounter with him. Maybe Palps sent Vader to dethrone maul from his criminal empire “crimson dawn” and maul had been on the run ever since leading up to this arc.
I have the theory they met before and that's how Maul end end living as a hermit running from the Empire. The Inquisitors aren't really a match for any well-trained Force-user. Most of their prey has been half-trained Padawans, Jedi long past their prime or Force-sensitives who were never trained. Against Ahsoka (the former apprentice of the Chosen One) and Maul (a former Sith Lord), their inadequacies and wannabe statuses really show. And that actually makes sense from a narrative point of view. The Inquisitors are meant to appear as scary as possible to detract from how they're more-or-less glorified attack dogs, relying on their intimidating appearances and gimmicky lightsabers to overwhelm opponents; once they face foes who can overcome that, they fold pretty easily.
If I recall correctly from Legends / EU, the Inquisitors are intentionally gimped by Vader / Palpatine. Because the last thing they want is a bunch of powerful force sensitive Sith wannabes running around breaking the rule of two. They only recruit the Inquisitors so they stand a chance at hunting other force sensitives, but they haven't really been trained to tap into the true power of the force at all.

3:18 It’s kind of funny how this scene is depicted as somehow being “dark” by the ambience when Maul just did the logical thing here. What’s he gonna do, put her down and tell her to stop fighting? They have no way to restrain her and it’s obviously she’ll try to kill them once she recovers. Maul did the right thing here
It's kind of wild to think about the fact that old ass Darth Maul leaped into battle against three double bladed inquisitors (one of which is much bigger than him) and proceeded to easily out duel them. Darth Maul is just the fucking best I love the look, the character hell I even love his home planet
I like how just like Grievous and Anakin never really fought or met during the entirety of the Clone Wars up until the end of the War, Maul & Anakin never really met nor fought each other, just once almost getting ran over on Tatooine and briefly again on Naboo. Though I wouldn’t count that as “meeting.”
He sensed Vader's arrival, if you look closely you can see that some of the lights are fading in straight line. That's probably because of his ship above the construction
U know your a badass when another sith can sense your presence because that's pretty terrifying I'f u ask me especially since Vader can easily kill maul in a few seconds
Season 2 frequently teased the idea that Ezra might turn to the dark side, with being friendly with Maul and killing ATST driver with mind control and all that, but then nothing happens at all and it's all forgotten.... obviously the protagonist of a kid show about Rebels can't become bad but still, I feel like it's kinda against "Chekov's gun".
4:44 quite possibly the stupidest thing they could have done "ah yes I'm going to helicopter away on my spinning lightsaber that is heavily damaged and malfunctioned not more than 10 seconds ago" inquisitors are so dense to the point of being comical lmao
The contrast here is so good u have 3 young false double bladed users who have to use technology to make it spin. Then you have a man who’s trained with the double all his life and he can spin it just as fast as them with his bare hands
I whole heartedly believe that the amount of physical hits m he landed on the Inquisitors could’ve been a lightsaber if he really want to. Imo he was just hoping that if the Inquisitors stayed alive, they might defeat Ashoka or Kanan by chance, pushing Ezra to the dark side.
No this is actually true. That and the fact that he’s playing with his food here, you can see the sinister grin on his face just before he jumps at them, he hasn’t been in a duel in a long time and is eager to enjoy it. The fact that he literally jabs one with his wooden cane tells me that he’s literally just styling on them for the hell of it.
Maul is one of those villains who is very good at pretending to be a good guy, or at least an antihero. Last villain I can remember who was this good at deception was Megatron back when he coaxed an amnesiac Optimus Prime back in Season 2 of Transformers Prime.
I would love a fight between the Grand Inquisitor and maul, now, maul might win, however people underestimate the Grand Inquisitor, and he was done pretty dirty in rebels overall. First the Grand Inquisitor being sent, then Vader and then the weak Inquisitors. Not sure if that even made sense but yea anyways.. Overall, I think the Grand Inquisitor is very underrated. He was a Temple Guard which of course requires specific characteristics, they were elite, strong and respected. Additionally, he has studied almost the entirety of the Jedi Archives, allowing him to understand all the lightsaber forms that the jedi used and counter them easily + master them in some way. Also gathered information on many Jedi and their past etc. Of course, most of this wasn't represented properly in Rebels, sadly. My opinion though. That's the only major critique I had regarding the show, otherwise you know, it was wonderful.
Eighth brother had potential too he was able to beat kanan and Ezra by himself. He was also sent to find maul by himself that means Vader or Palpatine felt like he was capable of doing it
1:34 can I just say how dumb it is that the Inquisitor has a laser sword that can cut through anything, but chose to switch it off and use this rotating beyblade shit. My guy, YOU HAVE A LIGHTSABER.

"What are we waiting for" Proceeds to just stand there lol
I laughed when he tried to fly away on the helicopter lightsaber and it broke
3:18 It’s kind of funny how this scene is depicted as somehow being “dark” by the ambience when Maul just did the logical thing here. What’s he gonna do, put her down and tell her to stop fighting? They have no way to restrain her and it’s obviously she’ll try to kill them once she recovers. Maul did the right thing here
3:07 my favorite moment
Darth Maul is literally the actual Inquisitor class of the Sith. xD
It's kind of wild to think about the fact that old ass Darth Maul leaped into battle against three double bladed inquisitors (one of which is much bigger than him) and proceeded to easily out duel them. Darth Maul is just the fucking best I love the look, the character hell I even love his home planet
Bros lightsaber is older than some characters💀
Placing Inquisitors against a former Sith? You may as well have sent a club bouncer to fight a marine XD
bro the way Maul screamed and threw his lightsaber at the Inquisitor was badass
I like how just like Grievous and Anakin never really fought or met during the entirety of the Clone Wars up until the end of the War, Maul & Anakin never really met nor fought each other, just once almost getting ran over on Tatooine and briefly again on Naboo. Though I wouldn’t count that as “meeting.”
rebels was the last show to show this much killing
Mandalorian kills a ton of people every episode lol
@@Darth_Xionn Okay but was Mandalorian on the Disney XD channel? Lol
“what are we waiting for” he knows nothing of Maul and it shows, he really didn’t need any help lmao
Maul looking at ahsoka be like: I told u so
Sam Witwer was such an enhancement to an already iconic character
Ezra: "what are we waiting for?"
Ezra, kanen, and Ashoka: continues to wait
And now the Inquisitors are no more but a memory.
Maul saw her expression and knew she seen him as weak..just like a sith
Ok, but the Inquisitors were genuinely terrifying. If I could be one character in Star Wars, I would be an Inquisitor.
3:52 maul was looking at something but what was it?
He sensed Vader's arrival, if you look closely you can see that some of the lights are fading in straight line. That's probably because of his ship above the construction
Oh
U know your a badass when another sith can sense your presence because that's pretty terrifying I'f u ask me especially since Vader can easily kill maul in a few seconds
Season 2 frequently teased the idea that Ezra might turn to the dark side, with being friendly with Maul and killing ATST driver with mind control and all that, but then nothing happens at all and it's all forgotten.... obviously the protagonist of a kid show about Rebels can't become bad but still, I feel like it's kinda against "Chekov's gun".
1:04 all i can think of is the HELICOPTER HELICOPTER meme 😂
These fools of Inquisitors don’t know what it means to be trained by Sidious but Maul does 😂
4:44
quite possibly the stupidest thing they could have done
"ah yes I'm going to helicopter away on my spinning lightsaber that is heavily damaged and malfunctioned not more than 10 seconds ago"
inquisitors are so dense to the point of being comical lmao
Still has his ear pierced
Its scary when i rewatch this after watching Ashoka series, because in 3:08 that lesson is the same one Anakin teaches to Ahsoka.
"Live or die"
The contrast here is so good u have 3 young false double bladed users who have to use technology to make it spin. Then you have a man who’s trained with the double all his life and he can spin it just as fast as them with his bare hands
Maul: They give lightsabers to anyone these days. 😒
I like that Maul fought with the saberstaff AND cane
They really fly like Mary Poppins lmao
This is arguably one of the greatest returns
I’m so glad they made maul go back to the double blade.
I just love how everyone is there
Ahsoka
Ezra
Kanan
Maul
7th Sister
5th brother
8th brother
Vader
That's probably the most fun he's had since he killed Satine
0:23 don’t know why but that face he makes always reminds me of Ratchet from Robots😂
And imagine that Darth Maul trained the next generation of jedi.🎉
I would just create a group of dark jedis lmao
All the inquisitors are gone for good!
Maul can wipe the floor of any inquisitor. Even the grand inquisitor. Those who say otherwise are delusional.
Maul is the most badass characters in all of Star Wars. If I was ever going to get a tattoo it would be of him.
Maul acts like an anti-hero now, he’s on the good side but he uses unorthodox methods (in this case, the dark side)
Maul is one of those villains who is very good at pretending to be a good guy, or at least an antihero. Last villain I can remember who was this good at deception was Megatron back when he coaxed an amnesiac Optimus Prime back in Season 2 of Transformers Prime.
Ezra: I can't kill her
Maul: I got it
Wth how many times does Maul come back to life !?
Maul could sense Vader and in the background you can heart Breaths
Real shame about Seventh Sister. She was the only new Inquisitor they introduced who felt like she had any potential
I was honestly shocked and sad when Maul killed her she was one of my favorite villains
Everything about her death; Maul's merciless strike, her sheer terror and final scream. Really quite a shocking and scary moment.
Eighth brother had potential too he was able to beat kanan and Ezra by himself. He was also sent to find maul by himself that means Vader or Palpatine felt like he was capable of doing it
@@swooshie4749 at least we have Trilla Sinduri
Anyone else find the lightsaber helicopters hilariously stupid?
2:55 read Ezra feeling like it’s not the Jedi way…
Im so glad the last guy wasnt able to just SaberCopter away lmfao
Lol the 8th brother falling to his death after his helicopter lightsaber blows a fuse.
3:10 This part was really shocking.
I GUARANTEE YOU the inquisitors wouldn’t be shit if their blades didn’t spin. They rely on it too much and you can tell by the way they fight
1:34 can I just say how dumb it is that the Inquisitor has a laser sword that can cut through anything, but chose to switch it off and use this rotating beyblade shit. My guy, YOU HAVE A LIGHTSABER.
He wanted to intimidate Ezra so he would give him the holocron
@FBlitz he did because he thought ezra had the holaron and if he killed ezra he would lose the holaron and the buzzsaw saber is used for torture
