@@phelopatirabdel-malak554 the first two seasons are the most “kiddy” bits of the show. The biggest issue with the show is that while a lot of is like really good for adults, it’s an anthology so you can go from a very GOOD set of episodes to a bad unrelated set of episodes. you start with the Animated Clone Wars Movie, push through season 1 and 2, and eventually get to the good stuff. (Assuming that you already have an okay foundation for Star Wars)
Given how Vader see most people around him as either cowards, or idiots who can't grasp how much danger they're in, THAT IS a compliment for a stone cold killer!
I mean when you think about it from the warrior perspective it's a genuine respectful compliment. Which unfortunately Ezra isn't and something Vader abandoned a long time ago.
@@itsflyde well it's not the very droid he loved but the fact is C3-P0 was the one droid he built with his mother. So mama saved C3-P0 from getting destroyed.
"I won't leave you. Not this time." Vader hesitates, remembering back to his past life as Anakin. His bond with Ahsoka, strained, but not yet broken. Perhaps her words move him, something deep inside and nearly forgotten... but it is not enough. Vader has sacrificed too much to the dark side. Vader has lost too much to go back. He hardens his resolve and calls upon the dark side. His hate, anger, and sadness. He has come too far to turn back, even for his former apprentice. If he is to die in battle, then better it be at the hands of someone he once loved. "Then you will die."
The same thing happened in one of the Vader comics when he took his first crystal from a jedi he killed. The crystal showed him a future that he could have had; he realizes the evil he has done, goes and destroys the Emperor, and tracks down Obi-wan to beg forgiveness and to die honorably. Vader rejects that future under the premise that he has come too far to turn back then.
@@sweetsleeperagent man that shit was so sad, his eyes turned blue again if I remember correctly. Seeing anakin's blue eyes from under that mask was powerful.
That was most amazing moments in Star Wars Rebels when Ahsoka told him that she was not going to leave him again this time and get to Vader broken mask when we see him shock and I can tell he felt emotional when she said that when he did wanted her to stay with Jedi Order with them. Also I gotten so much chills when he replied to her by saying that she will die then and it was breathtaking.
Anyone else notice that Anakin becomes much more poetic and structured with his speech. Everything he says is so Shakespearean that you almost forget he was the witty sky guy from the clone Wars.
What is wild, is that this is the same phrase/reason he gives Darth Sidious when told to kill Count Dooku, and to Master Windu when told that Darth Sidious must me killed. Anakin was resolute.
The look in his eyes after she told him she wouldn't leave him was perfect. A glimpse into the good that was still in him, even if it showed for mere seconds before the Hate took control again.
Yep, the good side was breaking through to the surface but because he couldn't bear the guilt of what he had done meant he had to suppress it and focus on fully becoming Vader. If only Ashoka had speech 100.
Yeah I think he was probably still pissed at her for leaving, I think if she hadn't of left anakin possibly could have been redeemed here instead of later.
@@liamdalemon1525 That's would've been great. Though just for it to be more "in character" I guess, I would've had Vader's eyes be blue when taking to Ahsoka, but immediately go back to that yellow-orange when he says, "Then you will die."
@GM-kp7yw To me that was the moment when shit got real to Ahsoka, she wanted to defeat Vader, but hearing his actual voice, her kind master, her older brother like figure. Completely change things. Ahsoka could never turn her back on Anakin again.

Honestly the fact she caved into despair, and just letting the Jedi Order die and not be restored to peacekeepers honestly bugged me. They made her like Luke: defeatist

Sorry for punctuation spelling and wording errors I’m only 12 but yeah
Its like how for a few years or so after ROTS he has extreme depression and regrets his actions up to the point of trying kill himself but after scenes like this it shows how he accepts that Anakin is truly dead and only Vader remains...that is until Luke comes around
I always think of that line, for me the emotional impact is so extreme, that the person that cared for her most, hurt her more than anything, sorry to do this but.....Ironic
DocWolph Ezra: “I need a lot more training” Me: “pfft bruh you’ll need a full on education and college degree if you want to even be able to stand up to Vader mate 😂😂”
I like to interpret that when Vader says “Ahsoka” and you hear his unaltered voice Anakin briefly surfaces up. But when Ahsoka says she won’t leave him again instead of the intended effect of comforting him, all those feelings of loss and being abandoned by her and everyone else that lead him to fall to darkness returns and pushes Anakin back down and sets Vader off. Ahsoka is a reminder of the man he once was and tried to bury away out of pain, anger and resentment. By killing her he’d be free of that link
Vader didn’t call out to Asohka, Anakin did. He cared about her so much that their bond had literally become a part of who he was. You can see Anakin start to come back the second vader sees her. And when Ezra said “lets go!” that was the straw that broke the dark side camel’s back. All of Anakins (for lack of a better word) love for Asohka resurfaced. He calls her name because he misses her, and he doesn’t want her to go. The second time he says her name, he is using the same tone of voice he used with her whenever they were having a tender moment. Its like he’s trying to get all of his feelings across in one word because he knows he doesn’t have much time before vader takes over again. And when Asohka says “I wont leave you” it reminds him of all of his suffering, and vader does just that. This is just my interpretation, but it’s an educated one.
Vader and Anakin aren’t different people, though. There is a lot of evidence, especially in the comics, that Vader’s more of a... mentality, what you get when Anakin is twisted by the Dark Side and becomes just a creature of anger and hatred. It’s almost a coping mechanism, because every time Anakin’s not dissociating himself from his past, he practically has a mental breakdown and can’t function (think Vader when he’s newly in the suit and Palpatine tells him he killed Padmé, or if you read the comics the last arc of the Aphra comics basically forces him to relive all of his regrets-Anakin’s regrets-and the first arc of the 2020 Vader comics basically has him practically bluescreen-of-deathing directly after Bespin before the Emperor punishes him for basically moping for a whole arc). As Vader, Anakin can function, even if, very loosely, his idea of functioning is self-inflicted punishment and taking it out on the whole Galaxy. When he’s forced to actually confront himself, he just can’t. It’s almost as if the Dark Side makes it easier for him to escape Anakin, so the way I personally interpret that scene is that Anakin’s real self comes out briefly, has a brief mental battle with himself about joining Ahsoka or not, and ultimately decides it’s pointless and he’s too far gone, shoves the humanity in him back down, and dives back into the Dark Side.
@@biologydoesntlie4093 Exactly. Otherwise why would Vader care that Luke is Anakin's son? Also, Vader hates himself. He wouldn't have any reason to if he wasn't Anakin. It's really odd, but it's also like being Vader is not only a coping mechanism of sorts, as I described, but also an endless self-imposed punishment. Anakin views himself as a monster for what he has done, and his punishment for being one is acting the part, *being* the monster, and forcing himself to keep existing with what he has become. Which ironically only spirals him more and more into the Dark Side. In a way, you can then view his redemption by saving Luke as him loving Luke--who believes that there is still good in Vader despite having no tangible reason to--more than he hates himself.
Nishant Modak Ashoka said in rebels that the last time she saw him was when he was rushing off to save the chancellor, which is exactly what we saw in the last episode.
Imagine if Ahsoka were to meet Luke and he explains to her how his father turned back to the light at the end. It makes my heart ache just thinking about it.
"Master Kenobi always said there's no such thing as luck" "Well good thing I taught you otherwise" "Anakin... good luck" Last conversation they had before this fight
Luck was truly on Ahoska's side, she surived Order 66, she surived her encounter with Vader. I really want them to do a series telling of Ahsoka's adventures after Order 66 and after the whole Worlds between Worlds thing.
Palpy is love, Palpy is life The senate has unlimited power And Ani killed his wife, Before him they will cower The jedi he got rid of them For traitors he will scour To him the loyalty of men It's Palpys greatest hour Or it's treason then!
Looking back at the Clone Wars, makes this moment so much more emotional. Ahsoka Tano worshiped Anakin and he love that girl like she was his sister or daughter. He was never the most strict Jedi, but he was willing do anything and everything for her because she was more than just a padawan. Now here, he is set on killing her. Her leaving the order had nothing to do with him, but she left him all the same and it hurt him. I love Star Wars. People that have never watched it will never understand how much of a tragedy it is.
Yes, and in the act, leaving him as well. Wasn't broken completely, obviously. He still had Padme, but that doesn't mean Ahsoka leaving hurt him any less. He lost his mother, lost Ahsoka, and there was no way in hell he was going to lose Padme. Though, he did end up losing her as well. He lost his limbs, the Jedi, his freedom, his entire life, and condemned to a life of pain and suffering in a prison like suit. When Ahsoka says, "I won't leave you. Not this time." gets me thinking back to that moment, the adventures, and they bond they shared.
Well maybe I am way too soft to be a villain but if she said that to me after all my years of being a Sith Lord I'd just go back home to sleep and let her do what ever she wants, except kill me that is.
Erick Santos I know what you mean it even hurts me to see them in that way, all the experiences they shared through the clone wars. just seeing how she walked away after the jedi wanted her back and saying no to anakin is really hard to acknowledge, heck that scene even hurt me, and then even seeing them in this scene later... she completely blames herself for leaving him and thus turning to the dark side.
Erick Santos I hope she would turn into the forcr ghost, just like obi wan after being killed by vader... too bad that won't happen, since yoda didn't teach her to do so...
There’s something just beautiful about hearing Matt Lanter’s voice with the tone of James Earl Jones underneath. They’re Anakin’s two most well known voice actors, and it’s a dream to hear their voices merge (in a sense).
Completely agree and I haven’t ever seen a single episode of Rebels. Love the clone wars. But honestly, wow. This scene made me feel like anakin truly is in that suit. If not imprisoned by it.
Because of how they show his face, and the "Then you will die" contains distorted Anakin's voice. Well done, favourite part of the show right here. I don't like the show in general but it's still epic.
3:36 He was so close. You could see the pain in his eyes. His own apprentice, someone he cared for so much, someone who was by his side all throughout the Clone Wars, and the last he saw of her was Mandalore. I believe he’s been trying to keep his composure since figuring out she was alive. He truly wants to turn. But he knows it’s too late. The evil he’s done, the wrong he’s committed, the damage has already been done. So the dark side takes back control, you see his eyebrows go back down, and then finishes with that all too chilling line: “Then you will die”
That’s retarded, don’t even think that. I don’t like Anakin personally(I love Darth Vader) but even if he somehow got a plot boost of love for his former apprentice, why would you want him to turn back. He would never be able to live with what he’d done. Do you really want an insane, and insanely powerful Jedi lose. Killing him is the best mercy. And personally I would have liked if the story focused more on obi wan, anakin, and maul. Instead of Ashoka, because she’s retarded. So much plot boosts that she somehow just as powerful as darth Vader. Like that’s stupid
Asoka "I am no Jedi" me "I am no Jedi either. I'm just like you, used to be one but left couse you could see the darkness growing in the republic and couse I'm different. and strong." said by a pure born lone wolf and worrier.
light can not exist without the dark. The Jedi can not exist without the Sith. That is something that is made clear over and over and over again in Star Wars. And Anakin of course as the chosen one can not exist without Vader and Vader cannot exist without Anakin. They are two sides of the same coin. Anakin never truly died. It's why he saved Luke in ROTJ.
Palpatine: "Vader, why did you build your castle in Mustafar?" Vader: "Not only in Mustafar, but in the highest peak of the planet .So in that way I will always have the high ground."
Notice that when Ahsoka damaged Vader's mask, the vocalizer was damaged as well. so for the first time we hear Anakin's own voice in his suit, and when he said "Then you will die." It was with HIS OWN VOICE, not his helmet's vocalizer. There's no turning back, Anakin truly was gone. That broke Ahsoka heart, as well as our own. Also note that the one who said the line was Matt Lanter, Anakin's voice actor.
Such a perfect scene in almost every way(I nEeD mOrE tRaInInG). They mixed James Earl Jones and Matt Lanter's voices to perfection on the first "Ahsoka." then you really hear Matt's voice on the second Ahsoka. You see his struggle for one second before his hatred washes it away swiftly. This is probably my favorite scene from any star wars, ever.
@CJED I think his lungs were destroyed but he did heal them somewhat with the dark side. My guess is that the dark side can't heal as well or as fast. And then after this he realized that due to the vocalizer he could use whatever voice he wanted in the helmet, so he started using a British accent.
@@egzabiheryemsgen4982 I REALLY don't think it is, given all the murder, disfigurement, war, politics, genocide, etc. It's an adult show disguised as a kid's show.
‘Then you will die.’ I cannot describe the insane goosebumps I got the first time I heard that line. There was a part of me that was convinced she’d reach Anakin and he’d help them escape, especially after that look of recognition in his eye. That would’ve felt cliched and cheap but considering the fact that this is a cartoon I fully expected it. Then he said that line, his lightsaber ignited, and his pupil shrunk with hatred, and I suddenly found Darth Vader genuinely terrifying for the first time in my life.
@@brayden2254 yeah but I think they couldn't use it because of CN, but still I wish rebels had a better art style even the art style of galaxy of adventures looks better than rebels
Rebels took a lot of inspiration for its art design from the concept art for the original trilogy, where light sabers were drawn much more in the style of actual swords of light than the thicker design that ended up coming from the sticks that were most practical for use in production.
I love how the gap in skill is shown. Vader almost insulted by Ezra trying to fight him. Vader keeping Ahsoka so far on the defensive she can't even use her two sabers to get a leg up. Normally she would have had the initiative and her opponent would be trying to defend from agressive strikes from two weapons while only having one. But no, Vader straight up overpowers her advantage with sheer skill and experience
If anything I think Ahsoka only stood a chance because Vader isn't exactly at his peak physically-speaking. Iirc Palpatine implanted him with more mediocre-than-average cybernetics that are quite literally limited in movement and cause him pain on purpose to keep him under his control. It's a pretty clever way of spinning the 1977 movie's cumbersome Vader costume in the lore's favor.
@@possibly8180 Also totally something as sadistic as Palps would do. Have you read what he did to the architect of the Death Star after the first blew up? (Ew) It's also shown a couple of times that force users "powerlevel"/ability to use the force gets influenced by their emotional state. So fighting someone he for once DIDN'T want to murder could have had an impact. Ex. Kylo Ren and Darth Maul
@I am 40 "overpowers her advantage". As in normally you would have a pretty big advantage with two lightsabers vs one. They aren't metal blades so using two hands for weight has limited use. He is also clearly very conflicted about murdering Ahsoka. He is not used to that as there's very few people alive he would even hesitate to kill. Which we know has an enormous impact on your force abilities. You need focus to channel force power. He is basically halfassing this fight unable to actually use the force properly on Ahsoka. On top of that he is an armor designed to making it harder for him to move AND use the force. And she is only holding her own against someone she believes to be an enemy fully dedicated to bringing him down
@I am 40 Ahsoka is very quick though. She is a speed fighter. While Vader is more a controlled power type fighter. He hits hard but not as quickly as her. He also trained her, so he should be the person she would have the easiest time fighting. She instinctively knows his rhythm and is way faster than him, while he is still not entirely used to the armors restrictions. Her fighting instincts are literally screaming at her you know this guy, you have fought him many times. He's going left now....then a sidestep out the path... She even comments on how familiar his fighting style seems.
@I am 40 As for the mask yeah that was a good hit. She aimed for the mask, to reveal him though. And again Anakin has never been shown to fight with a helmet. Vader is being forced into less vision. Mechanical vision on top so I don't know if he can actually channel the force through his eyes as jedi normally do to increase reaction time. Frankly with the sheer amount of handicaps Vader has it's kinda amazing he could fight a normal soldier, let alone a jedi. That he regularly later straight up kills jedi left and right is unbelievably amazing.
Not really, I watched this scene full of emotion the first time before Friday's episode of The Clone Wars. They just tied things up nicely that episode, thats all.
In a way, I feel like they're both begging each other not to fight. Vader especially. "We need not be adversaries." Vader has a deep seated HATRED of all Jedi. This is the most mercy that has ever come from his mouth. He's trying his hardest to stay the Dark Lord while simultaneously trying to save the woman that was like a daughter to him. This is before he knows of his Son's survival. This Vader doesn't want her to die, but he's so far gone that he's unable to find the compassion.
Yea I agree. I think Vader genuinely wanted Ahsoka on his side just like he did Luke years later. I mean he just went down a dark path and it got way out of hand I feel like he's looking for somebody to drag him out of it all the time after his fall.
Darth Vader is a lot like his grandson, Kylo Ren. The reason for this is because even now Darth Vader is still conflicted in some way between the light and the dark. Both Darth Vader and Kylo Ren may have turned to the dark side, but there is still a sliver of light in each of them that is defiantly clinging to them.
3:37 this scene gives me chills. The music, the angle, the “I won’t leave you, not this time” and Anakin’s eye starting to squint as he thinks about going back to the light. Fucking Beautiful. If this was a movie in theaters, audiences would’ve been in shock
Dawg that's one thing that is irredeemable slaughtering defenseless innocent children, anakin/vader doesn't matter who it was, it was the same person. He shouldn't have been a force ghost, killing kids is too evil
Anakin: “Ahsoka...?” Vader: “Kill her...” Anakin: “...” Vader: “Do it...” Anakin: “No... Never her. Please, anyone but her...” Vader: “... Then you will die... both of you...”
Yeah vader seemed happy to have ahsoka there as to destroy another strong light part of him and be fully consumed (wasn't ever gonna work out anyway with his children alive)
@@darthmomo6548 no they are 2 different personalities, that’s the whole point of Vader talking about anakin as if he was someone else but him. it’s a way for him to cope with what he has done and for palp to feel like he had full control in converting him to the dark side
Who else is here after watching The Phantom Apprentice. You can see the realization settling in her eyes when she sees Vader's face, the stunning truth that Maul was right all along.
For me, Clone Wars completely changes Star Wars, and this scene exemplifies that. Vader was the bad guy, and live-action Anakin was never the most likable character in the movies, but after really getting to know him in Clone Wars, every time I see Vader now, it just breaks my heart and I feel the anguish of knowing that this guy we came to love is now this thing that is so evil.
James Perkins I blame whoever was behind the editing for the dislike for live action Anakin. Whoever edited the films deleted a lot of great scenes that were crucial to his personality
And just how many things she wanted to tell him that she never will. Mostly, I think she just wanted to tell him that she had faith in him. She always had faith in him. Had she just told him that...
Daniel C id say the dialogue was the worst part, especially in the scenes With padme. In the behind the scenes Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen have amazing chemistry, but then their dialogue is just awful.
It wouldn’t have been accurate though since he was actually just trying to lure her in. It was confirmed by the creators. He didn’t actually go back to the light for a sec or even think about it. It was simply a trap 🪤 to kill her
Jake Branthe So you don’t recall all the hate Ahsoka got in Seasons 1-3 of TCW? I vividly remember all the fan art people made depicting her gruesome death.

that moment always gives me chills when vader says "Ahsoka". All day nostalgia from the clone wars. 3:45 when ahsoka says 'I won't leave you..not this time'. I think it really breaks through Vader and Anakin comes in control for a brief while just like with Luke in ROTJ but only for a short while after that, Vader takes over and Anakin is buried deep inside once more
Sort of, he viewed himself as a failure for failing his friends, the Jedi, his wife, and everyone he ever loved. He also faced severe depression coming to terms with being trapped in that suit to live, the fact his wife is dead, and how frail his life was. All that he turned to anger and hate of himself, into fuel for the Dark Side.
i think hes was just completly manipulated by sidious, he got so the emperor that he was like hes best friend and agreed with hes way of thinking, he convinced anakin to kill count doku so easily and tricked anakin into saving him and betraying Mace. he became lost and confused and thats when sideous converted him to the dark side and became loyal to only sideos and blamed the jedi for everything it only took him from episode 6 when sedeos was trying to kill luke, to realize he was being used and couldnt bare to see hes son suffer. when Anakin/Vader hears Ahsoka's plea, its as if he tells him self there is no going back, this is who i am and if you wont leave me "Then you will die" anakin and vader are the same person, he just denies to be who he once was. hes not litteraly mind controled, he just has a missguided judgment. as obi-won once told him "you are lost"
when you heard the voice from clonewars mixed with the voice from the movies i just die a little, the emotion and contemplation in vader in just tear jerking
+Shitlock Gnomes look at the diffrence between when he says "then you will die" to ezra compared to asokah (forgive the spelling) also I would love to see him very conflicted next season with asokah being the cause then that ends when she dies at the end of the series setting up angry murder vader from the movies ps could add some extra depth to his reactions when luke tries
Maybe a split second but not even she could save him. What I find ironic is that Vader usually encounter people in his past life who he was close to in their own way; Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and Padmé's handmaidens several years after this...
And Kanan and Hera are his mom and dad that try to keep in in check. Sabine is the older sister that could care less about him. And chopper is their family dog that they bring bc why not.
I justify it by telling myself that Vader was toying with him, kinda like how a cat will chase a mouse he knows he can stomp on, but boy oh boy do I ever wish he did
Like all Sith, Vader was toying with him. Not to mention this is not long before A New Hope and Fallen Order was only a few years after Revenge of the Sith when Vader was in his prime. Sure Ezra has plot armor but Vader needed him for the temple and simply needed to kill Cal to get a Holocron back.
+Cory also the fact that he called her 'ashoka' twice . He wanted her to know it was him since she was about to leave. Anakin came back in this moment because he had always wanted to see her again, even if they didnt say much. And when she said she wouldnt leave him he was taken aback and then he got angry again at her not understanding the situation and darth vader forced himself to push anakin down and scoff down his feelings as he thought they would only make him weak. one of the best and worst things about Anakin was when he committed to something it would take a hell of a alot to being him back And then Luke and Leia came:) It was a mix of Luke, leia, and ashoka that i think slowly brought vader back to anakin and turned those eyes blue
Dude, this scene hits me directly in the feels... "I don't fear you" "Then you will die braver than most" *beats Ezra up* "Perhaps I was wrong" This is how you treat Lord Vader when writing his character.
Fun Fact, during the construction of Vader's Castle on Mustafar, when he was trying to attempt to bring back Padme he had visions on future events and it happens that this was one of them. That's why Vader said, "It was foretold that you will be here."
You can tell Anakin was in there when he said “Ahsoka” & when she said she wouldn’t leave him , the long hesitation was just mind blowing. Anakin wanted to come out but he was just too consumed by Vader.
Yea Ashoka could def stir Anakin up. But it would take Luke to totally bring Anakin back out. As he realized he couldn't save Padme but he had it in his power to save her son.
I know this isn't the most popular opinion, but I am of the belief that Darth Vader and Anakin shouldn't be treated as separate characters. Its only there because Yoda and Obi Wan want to separate the two, but Vader has always been apart of Anakin.
@@thomasffrench3639 And your belief is irrelevant next to the facts. The canon lore confirms they are separate individuals, both in personality and the Force itself identifies them as different entities. So you are wrong. Disney has changed it so that when Yoda and Obi-Wan were speaking about Anakin, it was not only figurative that he was consumed by the dark side, but literal.
@@thewarner2139 so his redemption meant nothing I guess. Thanks for ruining the entire Original trilogy Edit: the only reason why Obi Wan said he wasn't Anakin was because he was lying to himself, and wanted them to be different people, when they are in fact the same.
@@thomasffrench3639 His redemption still matters. You being an ignorant clown who can't comprehend lore means absolutely nothing. You might also want to open a book before you make claims that can be easily disproven. Obi-Wan wasn't lying to himself when he said Anakin and Vader were different. By the time of Rebels, he had completely given up on the idea of Anakin coming back. He realized what Yoda said about Anakin being consumed by Vader was completely true and that's why he tried to encourage Luke to destroy Vader.
Mostly because Rebels was using the style of how lightsabers originally looked in the original trilogy and the Ralph McQuarie artwork while Clone Wars used the modern Prequel and Sequel style for the lightsabers
Ralph macquarries lightsabers were very thin. Rebels is definitely channeling the original concept art of star wars with this series. And its frikking amazing. Even Darth vader's more slender alien helmet design...right down to ezra's costume and the little orange droid. All original concept art back before a new hope was released.
Only reason people even cared about rebels was because of it using characters from the clone wars such as ahsoka, rex, and maul. If those 3 characters weren't in it, this would be worse than the sequels.
Ezra was an annoying character. I still enjoyed Star Wars Rebels because I love everything Star Wars, but damn Ezra made it hard to watch sometimes. lol
Live Action Ahsoka Tano TV Show... Never thought I'd see this come to pass. Ahsoka Tano - The Journey: th-cam.com/video/OLzOr9fpt78/w-d-xo.html Just wow. I am slightly confliced on this because I also wanted to get an animated show with Ashley that is a Rebels sequel and I am guessing this is what we're getting instead. I am mainly interested in the story and with it being live action, it will probably have a higher budget so that is a good thing. Plus, Rosario did an amazing job as Ahsoka and I am sure she'll nail it again. Still, I really want more of Ashley's Ahsoka as well. Hopefully she'll appear in the Bad Batch though if she does, I am guessing she will have a rather small role in it. Will the Ahsoka show begin after we last saw her in the Mandalorian? That seems most likely to me but I am guessing we might see some flashbacks and get more backstory on what happened to Ahsoka in-between Rebels and The Mandalorian. The World between Worlds logo implies to me that we might learn more about her time on Malachor after Twilight of the Apprentice, which I think up to this day remains one of the greatest mysteries sourounding this character. Clearly Thrawn will play an important role in that show given the exposition we were given in the Mandalorian and I am guessing so will Ezra. Given how they announced this one big story event that will resolve the storylines of all these shows, Thrawn might end up being the main antagonist, perhaps Moff Gideon is indeed working with him in some manner.
An eternal tragedy of the clone wars. I genuinely feel that is Ashoka and him could have honestly talked before the fall, Anakin wouldn’t have become Vader. At the end, you could see it in Anakin, for all his power and prestige. He was anxious, afraid not for himself but his love. He was virtually alone during the most quintessential moment of his life, and it cost the galaxy everything. Just one more hand reaching out to comfort in that time of doubt, might have put all of Palpatines scheming to not.
@@katiejean5879 anakin would’ve best Ashoka and maul, only reason obi wan won at all was that he trained anakin and anakin did something stupid and got his legs chopped off. He almost beat him
What’s really the heavy hitter of this scene are two moments: the moment when Vader - despite all his determination to forget his former life as Anakin, despite all the atrocities he’s committed - offers Ahsoka mercy. Despite his repeated insistence that he “killed” his former self, there’s still a small part of him that must not be able to bear the thought of killing the girl that was his student and his surrogate daughter. And the 2nd moment: when Ahsoka tells Vader she won’t leave him this time. We see Vader looks shocked by this. He’s stunned that there’s someone who, despite knowing all the things he’s done, still has love and care for him. He seriously stops and ponders whether or not to come with Ahsoka. We also now know that Ahsoka found out from none other than Maul that Anakin was being groomed to be Palpatine’s new apprentice. The Chosen One of the Jedi Order, turned against the Jedi. And Anakin did not even figure it all out until Palpatine had him at his most desperate. Ahsoka must feel that not all of it is Anakin/Vader’s fault and she genuinely wishes to help him. But Vader is so broken, broken from losing his wife and his offspring (supposedly), broken from his injuries, and broken from knowing all of the awful things he’s done, despite a genuine desire to turn back to the light side, he feels like he’s too far gone. Only through his own flesh and blood was Anakin’s redemption able to be fully accomplished.
@@VigilantAnarchism nah bro, sequels are at least functional movies. If you watch the prequels by themselves they look like high budget student films with cgi out of a 1990s children cartoon and acting that makes the guy from the room look like Joaquin phoenix

I want to see Ahsoka's reaction when Luke tells her that he's Anakin's son and how he redeemed Vader. I also want to see Luke's reaction to Ahsoka telling him about all the adventures she had with his father
+SilentRaider53 Then its just poor animation and storytelling, the only thing that brings the end of Darth Vader and how Luke symbolises his love for Padme and that he could not let Padme out of his life forever. For this era of Darth Vader he should not be conflicted about killing his padawan when in a new hope he just straight up kills his master so...
+RedKnight261295 Well to be fair, Ahsoka expressed a lot of compassion for Vader here, whereas Obi-wan was just confrontational. ("Only a master of evil, Darth!" and what have you.) And Vader *didn't* show any conflict against Ahsoka either, until the "I won't leave you" part. And I mean hell, he's been hated and/or feared by pretty much everyone for years, so I could see how a moment like that could be disarming, if only temporarily.

Vader hesitates, remembering back to his past life as Anakin.
So sad, but you are spot on. Awesome comment.
The same thing happened in one of the Vader comics when he took his first crystal from a jedi he killed. The crystal showed him a future that he could have had; he realizes the evil he has done, goes and destroys the Emperor, and tracks down Obi-wan to beg forgiveness and to die honorably.

Y’all need to stop trying to pin Anakin’s actions on everyone but himself. He made his decisions himself.
Vader was always a stone cold killer. He just to be aimed at BAD people. Palpatine also gave him a simple explanation for a complex situation.
@@babe6835 They were explaining Anakin's thought process, not pinning his actions on others. How you came to that conclusion is bizarre.
@@babe6835 kinda sad how that was your only reaction :/
I think that is a very astute observation.
I agree
@@theeviloverlord7168 You nailed it. Too many people act like Anakin and Vader are two entirely separate individuals. Obviously that's not the case.

Interesting

Her leaving the order broke him is what you wanted to say right?

Well put, never really thought about it to hard but ya Darth never really felt like Anakin except in Name

So the dark side takes back control, you see his eyebrows go back down, and then finishes with that all too chilling line:
“Then you will die”
Cameron Schmid Perfectly described
But the real question is:
Why he has eyebrowns tho?
That’s retarded, don’t even think that. I don’t like Anakin personally(I love Darth Vader) but even if he somehow got a plot boost of love for his former apprentice, why would you want him to turn back. He would never be able to live with what he’d done. Do you really want an insane, and insanely powerful Jedi lose. Killing him is the best mercy. And personally I would have liked if the story focused more on obi wan, anakin, and maul. Instead of Ashoka, because she’s retarded. So much plot boosts that she somehow just as powerful as darth Vader. Like that’s stupid

The saddest part of all this is you can still hear Anakin under Vader’s mechanical voice. He never really died.
light can not exist without the dark. The Jedi can not exist without the Sith. That is something that is made clear over and over and over again in Star Wars. And Anakin of course as the chosen one can not exist without Vader and Vader cannot exist without Anakin. They are two sides of the same coin.

Rebels took a lot of inspiration for its art design from the concept art for the original trilogy, where light sabers were drawn much more in the style of actual swords of light than the thicker design that ended up coming from the sticks that were most practical for use in production.
they didn't want to really fight each other. The soul of the lightsaber wasn't really in it.

"I shouldn't, it's not the Jedi Way"
Ignacio de Miguel Do it
Rylan Scholz screw it
Blew it!
(Ew)
It's also shown a couple of times that force users "powerlevel"/ability to use the force gets influenced by their emotional state.

God, he even sees HER slipping into hatred and warns her as if he were still a Jedi.
Yea I agree. I think Vader genuinely wanted Ahsoka on his side just like he did Luke years later. I mean he just went down a dark path and it got way out of hand I feel like he's looking for somebody to drag him out of it all the time after his fall.
TimTheBretonFromCyrodiil Agree with the both of you
yea but at this point nothing can bring him back
Darth Vader is a lot like his grandson, Kylo Ren. The reason for this is because even now Darth Vader is still conflicted in some way between the light and the dark. Both Darth Vader and Kylo Ren may have turned to the dark side, but there is still a sliver of light in each of them that is defiantly clinging to them.

Sort of, he viewed himself as a failure for failing his friends, the Jedi, his wife, and everyone he ever loved. He also faced severe depression coming to terms with being trapped in that suit to live, the fact his wife is dead, and how frail his life was. All that he turned to anger and hate of himself, into fuel for the Dark Side.
i think hes was just completly manipulated by sidious, he got so the emperor that he was like hes best friend and agreed with hes way of thinking, he convinced anakin to kill count doku so easily and tricked anakin into saving him and betraying Mace. he became lost and confused and thats when sideous converted him to the dark side and became loyal to only sideos and blamed the jedi for everything

Can’t wait to see Live action Thrawn

0:00 - 0:15 mobile Highground. Seems like Darth Vader learnd out of his mistakes ^^
Freashskywalker 😂😂😂
It's over Erza, I have the highground.
Vader: Oh no i am not falling for that shit again... *throws lightsaber*...
Lmao Mobile high ground
He is never gonna fall (fall... like on mustafar) to the lowground again... so he decided to become the Highground.
I give Disney props for letting Vader eyes rest when she said "I won't leave you" that almost made me cry he really didn't want to fight
He really didn’t. 😭
Anakin didn’t, but then Vader took over
An eternal tragedy of the clone wars.
@@macromicro1715 if she would have went with Darth maul, she could have stopped him.
Only through his own flesh and blood was Anakin’s redemption able to be fully accomplished.
then the sequels and prequels ruined everything
@Lorenzo Smit Well the clone wars fixed a broken story. Doesn't make the original story any less broken.
Star Fyre While I agree that TCW and Rebels (in part) fixed up the Prequels, they’re far better than the Sequel cesspool
@@VigilantAnarchism nah bro, sequels are at least functional movies. If you watch the prequels by themselves they look like high budget student films with cgi out of a 1990s children cartoon and acting that makes the guy from the room look like Joaquin phoenix
Star Fyre A shit story that went nowhere over the course of 3 movies...shit characters that were badly written, an old villain brought back from the dead for absolutely no legitimate reason, 3 films that have left the fandom probably as divided as the prequels ever would make it...yeah that’s functional.
I want to see Ahsoka's reaction when Luke tells her that he's Anakin's son and how he redeemed Vader. I also want to see Luke's reaction to Ahsoka telling him about all the adventures she had with his father
What I would do for an Ahsoka and Luke episode where they go onto adventures and fight the remnants of the Empire.
Though it's faint, before Vader says that Ahsoka will die, you can see some conflict in his eye, which, for me, makes this a more powerful scene.
no
+Vincent Macary get a life, dont be insecure.
