Good video! I always enjoy your work. It is always so detail oriented. I do wish you would spend more time filming the mines themselves, as they stand today. You don't have much geologic experience, but some of us do, and even if you just spend a few moments filming the waste rock piles (with closeups) and rock details (again, with closeups) at the borders of the portals, that gives some of us a pretty good idea of the geology behind what they were excavating. And, everything you are reporting on was primarily geology driven. Anyway, great video!

Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely consider adding more detail and close ups of the mines and tailings

Having watched a few of your videos, I find them to be concise full of detail and the homework shows. Hope you get more views. PS thank for omitting the grieving movie star.

A tip of the hat for driving up to the Whale Mine, looked a bit nerve-wracking.

Definitely nerve wracking. I had underestimated the difficulty of the trail. Once committed, no way to turn around.

My name is Younts. I have wondered if the Yount of southern NV. was related. I believe their is a ranch of that name. Actually it is a common German name, Janz.

Yes, I believe the ranch is still in existence.

Younts owned the spring in pahrump called the Manse ranch.
