I grew up in the 60s and 70s but have a special place for the 90s music. I had a cabin up north used to in the 90s to get away from it all. Cranked this music everytime. It was a very special place
It also respresents the isolation of self loathing. Living vicariously, through the object of unrequited desire is a pathologically self-destructive journey to hell.

Attended two GB shows this summer in Michigan. One indoor and one outside. When your comfortable in your own skin ( as he is) and he has this energy that is genuine. Not at all full of himself. Very authentic and lovely. I met him Pre concert at the outdoor concert. He just walked up to where I was. Humbleness profound. Beautiful voice and personality. Thankyou Robin 💗

Guy Dogan c e d I google the chords and play em that way. Great song. I just haven’t played enough to try recording myself. The stuff I do is just beer and Easy chords. Nothing serious just for fun. I think I’m doing the same chords as that guy.
Chords are Cadd9, D, Em, D for the verse. Cadd9 is just 3rd fret A string, 2nd fret D string, 3rd fret B string, 3rd fret high E string. Add the 3rd fret B string and 3rd fret high E string to the Em chord as well to play it like Robin is here. Chorus (whispers at the bus stop part) C, G, D.
@@dirkdiggler7727 I've had terrible conflicts with actual family members. They lived and sadly Doug didn't. Every day is a road to forgiveness and I know these guys hurt everyday for losing him. Sure these songs became hit, but yeah, everytime they play them, they pay a heavy price of heartbreak.
This song represents everything that was right about the 90s.

RIP Doug. You had such a way with words and music.
Awesome voice. and acoustic. This just proves how underrated he is.
Absolutely. The most underrated band/songs of the 90s. Of all time, really.

Doug's songs are amazing. Too bad they robbed him.
Dude he was a fall down drunk. How could anyone deal with someone who's blackout drunk and fucked?

So I don't consider it robbery either. And the best way to honor his memory is to keep playing his songs.
What chords is he playing? D and G? C on the chorus?
C-D and Em-D alternate through the verses. Chorus is C-G-D, twice, then the C-D and Em-D.
@@sim1less500 Thanks!
From the Gin Blossoms Hahahaha. He is the Gin Blossoms
electricjed Doug Hopkins was the gin blossoms .
Doug wrote all their first hit from NME and it was his band. They took the band name, his songs and royalties too.
GOOD BUT A LITTLE TOO SLOW .
