1. 5 Doses on April, 2019(Last dose: 07/04/2019)

3. 4 Doses (1st on 19/04/24; 2nd on 22/04/24; 3rd on 26/04/24 and 4th on 03/04/24 - Matlab maine just day before yesterday me hi apna 4th dose liya hain 15th day me)
Maine kabhi bhi HRIG nahi liya.
Abhi agar hypothetically ye pakad bhi loo ki ye dog ki hi scratch hain , toh -
1. Kya mujhe fir se Vaccines lena padega starting se?
2. Kya main Day 28(due on 17/04/24) me apna 5th dose le loo?Woh enough hain na?
3. Kya main 100% safe hoon?

Sir,kal 26/03/2024 ko, bahar road me paani gira hua tha.. aur us paani mera feet ka niche me lag gya, jaha pe ek chota sa open cut hain.Achanak se mereko khayal aya ki road me gira hua paani to dogs akhshar lick karte hain. Tabhi se darr lagne laga due to overthinking.Us wound pe thoda paani bhi lag gya tha.There was no direct contact though.
Maine 5 saal pehle 5 Vaccine Dose liya tha(Last dose: In April 2019).Aur pichle saal 3 ARV Doses liya tha(in Jan., 2023).Abhi currently bhi maine precautionary doses le raha hoon(1st Dose : 19/03/24; 2nd Dose: 22/03/24 aur 3rd Dose Kal hi liya).But, kal se hi mujhe thoda bohot shivering aa raha hain iss Garmi me bhi - maybe because I am overthinking too much and having OCD.
Abhi kya me 5 doses complete karoon?Mujhe kya worried hona hain? Kya me 100% safe hoon?

rabies virus remain alive only in nervous tissues.
from brain it travels down to salivary gland through nerves. it gets secreted in saliva and transferred to bite sites.again at the bite site it gets attached to the nerves and travels towards brain.this is the natural cycle.
so throughout the cycle it multiplies in nervous tissues only.
now coming to your question, once it gets outside the body where no nervous tissue is there it dies within couple of seconds.

Doctor, I touched a plate that was licked by a stray dog in 20 minutes after it licked the plate and the saliva was still wet. I touched it with my bare hands and I don't remember if I had any open wounds on them (I definitely had a hangnail though). Can I get rabies this way? You said that the risk is low, but not zero?

सर आप बहुत अच्छा से समझा रहे मुझे भी डर लग रहा था सर ये बताइए प्लीज की मैं जिस शहर में रहता हूं वहा पानी खरीद के पिता हूं जो सिक्का डालने पर पानी निकलता है एक दिन मैंने देखा कि जिस पाइप से पानी निकलता है प्लास्टिक मोटा पाइप सिक्का डालने से उसपर थोड़ा कट था मैंने दुकानदार से पूछा तो उसने बोला की कुता काट दिया होगा मैने उससे कई बार 14लीटर वाले जार में पानी लाया था भरकर क्या उस पानी को पीने से कोई दिक्कत नही ना होगी अगर मुंह में थोड़ा कट लगा हो तो क्युकी सभी लोग उसी से पानी भरकर लाते है मोहल्ले के मुझे भी ध्यान नही था कब काटा था पाइप ये तो संयोग से एक दिन देख लिया यह बात 20दिन हो गया मैं बहुत टेंशन में हूं प्लीज सर वैसे मैंने ARV ka 5डोज एक बार 2019में ले रखा है जब मेरा पालतू डॉग काटा था क्या मुझे फिर लेने की जरूरत है

If we touch our eyes and mouth after touching saliva, can it be transmitted. I am feeding a dog who has been bitten by a dog, now it's wound at mouth has been smelling badly ( am I at threat of rabies in case he has rabies). And should I continue feeding him as his jaw is not functional any more ( because he has been attacked at mouth) so each time his saliva touches my hand and also I have to smell his bad breath. Please reply, should I take rabies shots ( and my family as well)
Usually the way you described rabies does not spread. it has been categorised as bite ONE.
You should at least go for pre-exposure prophylaxis as you are a dog lover .....
@@kidocare today I carried that stray puppy (2.5 months old) to vet, after giving him drip needle poked in my finger. My friend suggested (who is a doctor) to get shots for Rabies, Hepatitis and TT. But doctor in hospital denied the requirement of both rabies and Hepatitis. However I am taking TT and rabies both. Should I also opt for hepatitis, and continue with remaining doses of rabies(taken 1 rabies and TT injection today).

Sir On sunday (31 jan) a stray pup (2.5 months old) licked my hand. I washed my hands with just water (not soap) and ate with my hands after 1 hour. on sunday he was very friendly But few days back he started bitting other dogs in a furious way, also had difficulty in swallowing food, he died yesterday (7 jan). I had taken 3 shots of anti rabies vaccine (0, 3, 7) in october 2023 as my unvaccinated puppy bit my hand. Do I still need to take all the anti rabies vaccine or just one booster dose. Please reply sir.
Yes, you require all the doses of ARV because your previous vaccination was incomplete. Please initiate it as soon as possible.

Mereko kuch bhi touch/ scratch feel nahi hua.Mere feet ke upar koi blood/cuts/wound bhi nahi dikh raha hain.Maine alcohol bazed sanitizer apply kiya, toh kuch jalan bhi nahi ho raha.But still mujhe darr lag raha hain ki woh dog mere feet ke upar apna nakhun maar diya(mijhe rabies OCD hain).

I have a lot of anxiety regarding rabies. Please clarify if a dog was drinking water from a roadside sewage and I passed from near it. I was carrying vegetables and other food items with me. A dog licked my toes, i shaked my legs and the dog went away, dog appeared very calm, it was a stray dog.
I had immediately applied sanitizer in the area where the dog had licked.
There were no open wounds or scratches or any type of redness in the area.

Last rabies booster rabivax s vaccine I took on day 5th instead of day 3. Does it provide immunity for three months? I am 40 yrs old healthy male also I tested my rabies antibodies titre after 14 days and it is 4.0 EU/ML. In last 12 months I had taken almost 15 rabies vaccine. one is whole course and two booster every three months
Sir, 3rd Oct 2023 ko 5th dose scheduled tha lakin aaj nahi le paya because same brand available nahi tha. Lakin 4th ko dose complete kiya to koie issue nahi hai na sir? 1 day daily koie issue nahi hai na? Please reply

I was on bike with my daughters, suddenly one rabid dog passed few inches from us. Dog died on 11th day. Few hours after completing 10 days. Dog didn't bite us or scratched or licked us. My younger daughter has small two days scratch on her leg.
1. Is there any risk for my daughter?

This topic requires one on one discussion as lots of loopholes are there with this protocol which was given in 2018 by WHO Position Paper. Today in 2024 still we are blindly following the same whereas NRCP clearly mentions IRRESPECTIVE of TIME PERIOD. Above all CDC says - re exposure prophylaxis is required in all of them who test positive 0.5IU/ml neutralising antibodies.
Now, the question arises - since the neutralising antibodies peak at 14th day of completion of ARV...
1.if you have completed ARV yesterday, and again fresh bite occurs today then what? your neutralising antibodies have not yet reached a peak (it peaks after 14 days). should you go for re vaccination??????
2.in case of fresh bite on 30th day or 98th day, the neutralising antibodies will remain more than 0.5IU/ml then why on 98th day vaccination is required and not on 30th day (according to WHO). even after 3 years the antibodies will remain more than 0.5 IU/ml then why 90 days cut off is there. It makes no sense at all.
That's why CDC considers RE EXPOSURE PROPHYLAXIS in all of them who measures more than 0.5IU/ml and FULL COURSE in them who measures less than 0.5IU/ml. There is no time gap formula at all.

as far as rabies is concerned, benefit of doubt should be given to anti-rabies vaccine.
Your case is highly doubtful. Plus you have developed anxiety too. So it's better to have a aarvi as per schedule and remain anxiety free forever. Moreover, ARV is highly safe and it's not going to harm your body adversely.

We visited the campus on 24th March, where my three year old daughter fell down on the street and got a minor scratch on her knee which was covered with her pant.
