And my last few trips always I made Solo Hikes into the Highlands. I reached this same hut in late Winter on my 2014 Solo Snowshoeing Triip along to Landmannalaugar and even further North. This Hut was half buried under a Monster Shitload of Snow. And being their totally allone was something super special. So I could 100% empathise with you about this trip and Landscapes.. IT IS JUST A REAL JOY TO WATCH 🙂 MANY THX

I remember the 2010 eruption as we were overlanding in Africa and luckily were able to fly back to Canada via Amsterdam. Fantastic adventure! A new "standard" for overland adventures.
Awesome chapter! It takes good memories to us. We drove some F-roads (f88 to Askja, Landmanalaugar,..) in a rental Landcruiser. Come back to highlands is in our plans...

Great video and great to see this location! I trekked through those spots a few years ago. The river crossings on foot was kinda fun. The only time I ever wore Crocs!
Ep 9 we hit more rough roads but it is illegal to drive “off road” in Iceland so tourists don’t tear up the landscape. We hit drive through the roughest roads we can there
