The Ellipsoid E85 on the bass amp is the winning ticket ! Such an incredibly organic sound. Thank for the beautiful demo, you are very talented. Cheers from Canada.
Interesting, I didn't think the Ellipsoid and Tannoy sounded good on the kit but when all three were blended together it was a really nice sound. The Tannoy and Ellipsod also sounded good on the amps. Their sound really worked with the sources. That Turner mic seems like a real star though.
Interesting. The drum kit setup in the beginning demonstrates how bad each of these mics is. But in the right use case, each one can make for a great sound.
i love how you can be an engineer for years and then cole just pulls out 3 mics youve never heard of

Sounded just like “I Don’t Live Here Anymore” by The War on Drugs
This is awesome!

So damn cool.
What was the signal chain for the electric guitar at 1:07? Sounds cool...
Thanks! It was a Timmy Overdrive and a Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl
Do you have any mics you keep for yourself that you would never sell?
Yes! I have an RCA 44 that I love, a pair of STC 4038’s, a good U67, and of course others. But those are my favorites!
