Let's be honest, the sims swatches without simmers collab are pretty bad but when any simmer gets involved, most of the swatches are ussable and great
I love that too but this instrument to deal with that problem they should already have good swatches on all their items LOL
You can also tell when you read the description but I mean that is a telltale sign

The thing with The Sims is that the developers think we want the craziest things but honestly we can get so happy with just a pillow and a curtain rod 😂

See the Modern Luxe kit is a perfect example of what a kit should be. Niche enough where you don't miss out if you don't buy it, but still has something that makes it worth buying.

I was a bit disappointed in the swatches tbh. I think swapping one of the greys could of been made green or pastel purple. But the artwork is nice

I'd like to see some kind of "winter clothing" kit. I feel we desperately need more jackets, winter coats, etc, for Sims that aren’t too crazy. I find myself using the same three, and im sick of seeing all my townies wearing the same during the cold. 😂

I’m kinda surprised she didn’t think of/mention that, considering the custom ceilings are fresh in the sims 4, but I get the excitement can cause some things to slip the mind heheh. I’m glad you brought it up though! I hope she sees this! It’d be beautiful as a ceiling and those screenshots and thumbnails would be stellar :D

The vanity table’s tuning has been made base game compatible now! So, you don’t even NEED Vintage Glamour!

@@cendrecovfefe2496 They did include a night stand/side table (it's round and has books in it) but it's pretty big. But they also included a blue knitted pouf that acts as a table, and I've used that as a small bedside stand before, particularly for toddlers.

I'd love for them to do a celebration with someone on a Luxe Bathroom kit and/or a Porch Kit. I need some nice fancy and luxuries bathroom items as well as more windows with screen swatches and a porch swing.
More musical instruments in general! I'd love to see a cello or even a flute! Being able to form a band and perform music together would be amazing though 😍

@@citrusbutter7718You might be surprised! I've never purchased a kit. I have the desert one because it was free for a while, but I literally never use the items from it.
@@citrusbutter7718 Haha, what? LilSimsie is one of the most popular Sims TH-camrs. The vast majority of Sims players are casual players, who don't buy many packs. It makes sense most of her viewers will also be casual players, who don't buy many packs.
(I think LilSimsie is the most popular Sims TH-camr, unless we're considering CallMeKevin a Sims TH-camr, but I don't think EA is comfortable with him getting that label.)
I feel like the modern luxe would have fit into the house she built for the sim Baby in her nightmare legacy challenge, specially with the colors :o Anyways, I LOOOVVVEE these new kits, even tho I usually get annoyed when they make so many for that price compared to the amount of stuff.. tho it seems like they're slowly adding more items in the kits
It really winds me up that they cant give us bookshelves that are also empty and slotted. Every single bookcase should have a plain one
I think what makes the Modern Luxe stand out more is that the items and colors aren't incredibly sharp or harsh compared to Vintage Glamour. I noticed once you put them side by side that all the items are way more rounded or have softer edges compared to it and the color choices are just really nice to top it all off.
I saw somewhere that they added the vanity from Vintage Glamour to base game, so the vanity from this kit will function even if you don't own the stuff pack.
That means that the Vintage Glamour pack is useless (not that anyone buys or plays with it anyways)

Honestly, curtains ought to function like cabinets with how often they conflict with window sizes.
Finally I won't have to use Island Living as my ONLY access to good looking swimwear! Definitely a disappointment the floaties aren't its own item, but nonetheless... that swim kit had a lot more to it that I personally really enjoyed!

I saw it on Twitter: people who new what to look for, apparently found out that the code that makes the vanity functional was moved from Vintage Glamour to base game in the latest update, so not only you can use that vanity if you don't have Vintage Glamour, it also opens possiblities for more (official and custom) content with this functionality!
I do like that some of the swimwear can be used as “regular” clothes
The only kit i would want would be “Blue suburban kit by lilsimsie”

For us in the Southern hemisphere, summer is practically here, so we're happy about the swimwear 😊
I really like that there's the repeated patterns/colours on the swimwear; it gives more scope to mix and match, gives options if you loved one pattern but wanted it in a bikini, or if your sim is a little more modest and you wanted a one piece etc- plus it gives it a feel of being like a "collection" that a brand has brought out
I am in a country that’s just gone into spring so it’s actually nice to get a pack that’s not just centred around what Americans want

The sims is an American brand & company. Also based in California… Not surprising that it is more American inspired.

I came here literally just to see the different nail swatches for the swim pack, and ended up being convinced I'd like both lol ~ the modern luxe one I've passed over at a glance but you really sold me on it, that stuff does look good and I had no idea there was a TV/painting thing, that's really cool!

i LOOOVE their choice of making most of the clothes have the same swatches because being able to mix and match them makes every outfit much more unique!
that yellow flower + brown frame swatch of the tv is PERFECT for "i want to make an older looking house so i guess i cant have a tv over the fireplace" moments. SECRET TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the update, vanity features from vintage glamour got moved to base game so even without vintage glamour, this vanity will work

LOL YES same, i also almost never use Vintage Glamour beds (unless I have to cuz of its high sleep quality point) and few other stuffs due to the swatches and designs, Xureila saved us for real with this kit! 😂 her kit really looks like it's made by big cc creators i've been downloading for years we love it a ton. Meanwhile EA didn't even separate the floaties in their original kit...

Is it just me, or did it say you could add the record player to your Sim's inventory... so they could, say, take it poolside? Also, you know the modders are going to separate out the floaties and make them bracelets or rings instead.
And can we take a moment to celebrate the pillow. What a beautiful addition. I foresee builders adding that pillow & the frame tv to every build from here on out.
I want the Sims team to someday add homeschooling to the game. If they’re trying to be more inclusive, they should probably consider it
10/10. If I'm playing a medieval peasant dynasty or an off-grid simple living farmer family, homeschooling is a vitally important roleplay element. The popups for when I keep my kids home so I can teach them actual skills are so irritating, and they lose responsibility too!
@@vanguardiris3232 I don't know if you play with mods but there are mods to make childs and teens quit school so that you don't have to get the popups
I make the days I want my kids to stay home holidays in the calendar and then select day off school/work

The new furniture kit is giving me 5 star hotel vibes. I've been to a real-life hotel on Marco Island that had that exact bed and side table with very similar glass shelves in the vanity room (short hall) between the bedroom and the bathroom, tufted chair and table lamp. Think that's a hint or just a coincidence?🤔😯

And of course they still dont give us a normal modern looking bikini. The reason why they dont give the bikini without the tshirt and floatie is beyond me. Is it really that risque?
But they did? There are a few different normal bikini tops and bottoms. 2 or 3 each if you don’t count any of the shorts or cover up type options that you can mix and match. 5:24 for the tops 6:40 for the bottoms.
i mean, there is ACTUAL lingerie in base game, i dont think its too risky…
they did! they’re not in full body outfits and maybe not the specific style you’re going for, but there’s 3 bikinis top and bottoms in the pack.
@@ShannonRose99 i just really wanted the ones that were with the coverups/ floatie as to me this type of bikini is kind of the modern norm for bikini styles

I really love that with the poolside splash kit a lot of the items you could use as everyday wear. Like the sarong kind of skirt, the male tank top, sliders, glasses and necklaces! I don't need any more swimwear for my sims but some of the items make me want to get it lol

Modern Luxe does look really lovely, I'm temptedddddd.
And the wonderful color coordination on the swimsuits is really cute, the combos are fun!
Normally I'm not very interested in the cas kits but I think I would get a lot of use from the swimwear one because we don't have many swimwear options and I always find myself using the same items and swatches. And I think maybe it's a good thing that the floaties aren't separate cause if they were I think it would be a situation like the eyeball ring where townies would be wearing them all the time.
I love that the swimwear can be mixed and matched. The curtains are awesome, so simple. I'd use them so much. Until the desert luxe kit came out I rarely put curtains in my builds because of trying to match them to the window. I might buy these packs at some point but I'm not in any rush

Love the build kit, definitely going to get it next time I buy anything! I'm not the biggest fan of CAS kits, but I do mostly use CC for CAS. I definitely see the CAS kit being super helpful and fun for console players or players that don't use CC though! I really think more swim suits were needed.
at around 5 minutes when you were looking at that cute top paired with the swim suit, I agree i wish the top came separately, not to excited about the suit but IN LOVE with the top.

I normally don't buy the CAS kits, but i bought the Intimates because we have a lack of sleepwear and swimwear (imo) so i had been using that kit for the last few months. I initially was not sold on this set, but I did buy it earlier today and I'm glad I did! I was also really impressed with the styles and textures.
I knew i was going to be buying the Luxe kit because of the record player and bed frame
