Oh thank you bro! It's an absolutely great 7 string guitar for the price! Don't expect extremely high quality and consider changing the pickups/tuners, but very good 7 string for starters (at least for me!)
I don't think one is better than the other. Both have a distinctive sound. I put black winters in my v and sometimes miss the stock jacksons for certain tones.
Both are different. In fact if i had two of these one with stocks an oen with invaders, i'd probably use both to double/quadtrack guitar - the originals stock have less low end and more bite. However for the lead parts the invaders have the edge, we can see the harmnics of the notes your playing on the graph, ouuuh baby. hehe
Indeed it looks amazing! Too much low end for my taste. I recently bought an used Jackson KE3 and it has two Duncan Designed Detonators humbuckers, which look like an Invader, but plays like a Distortion
Invaders were definitely more balanced with distortion, not as bass heavy as the Jackons which made it sound muddy. Love the enhanced bass on the cleans thought, really nice overall.👌Very informative review!

Hello, the sound improvement this guitar had with the bridge Invader installed was huge, but it definitely had too much output for my style, too boomy low end, especially while palm muting fast. In the end, I sold it and replaced it with Duncan Solar!
Looking to upgrade to a Seymour Duncan Pegasus in the bridge, I’ve heard they should fit fine as it is but I wanna make sure before I buy. Did you have to do any additional routing or anything to make them fit?
@@onionheadguy7094 Hi! Well any new pickup combination will be better than the original Jacksons 🙂. It's up to you, I suggest you to listen to some tests on the seymour duncan or di Marzio website. Alright. The Marshall you described is a small compact amp, so it may not be the best solution if you want to try to emulate Metallica's tone (they used both JCM800 and Mesa Boogies Dual Rectifiers). But, with amp sims like Amplitube, it will just work fine. You can upgrade the Dinky JS32Q with some original Seymour Duncan pickups, to get even more good tone out of your guitar
Js 32 are good for metallica stuff but. Jackson stock pick ups are average metal pick ups with a set of Seymour Duncan or EMG Pick ups would be a better upgrade for getting metallica sounds. Jackson stock pick ups are great for getting the sound almost to a metallica type tone.
Did u have to do any custom fitting to get them to go in? I noticed the video u committed on with the guy that installed the bare knuckles he had to get it routed.
Hey man! 99% of the time I'm using .022 microfarads, since I'm always playing guitars equipped with humbuckers, so I'll get a brighter sound because of the higher cutoff of the frequencies! Feel free to experiment, though, some people like to use .033 uF, since they are somewhere in between .022 uF and .047 uF!
can be heard a lot of improvement with the invader, i just installed a distortion in my js22 7 but it sounds almost the same! i don't know if i've done some bad shit in there but it can't be because the distortion is much brighter than the stock bridge...
Hello Chad! No, I didn't need to do any mod, the Invader fits exactly like any other humbucker pickup with a mounting ring. I sold it now, though, you can see my latest comparison here: th-cam.com/video/2w3nm75XbBg/w-d-xo.html and how I changed it physically here: th-cam.com/video/gwT-gWrIOok/w-d-xo.html
I'm not an expert but imho I seriously don't think the Jacksons were wired, setup, and/or toned in right(I'm guessing straight from the factory). I know there can be some distinct differences between pickups but the differences shouldn't be THAT extreme. Pickups are usually really simple and as long as your base components are of at least decent quality you should be able to crank out some good sound. But hey, I could be wrong.
Hello Leet 🧇! Yes maybe they weren't properly setup from the factory, we're talking about the lowest end 7 string guitar Jackson produces, so it's totally possible! Thanks for commenting, I'm selling those pickups if anybody is interested!
Hi Brandon! Well, to my own experience not that much. Invaders are perfect for 7-8 strings and/or down tuned 6 string guitars, but to me there too much boomy and high output. I prefer medium output pickups.
I feel like you didn’t eq very well on the jacksons. They are a bit muddy but I’ve heard very well defined tones from these pickup from other videos. Maybe compare each pickup at their best eq settings.
Hey man, the purpose of the video was mainly to hear how they sounded right off the bat, I added no EQ on purpose, just the same settings with a very common amp sim! Yo!!
Invader are way better but jackson stock are very good for what they are they put jackson stock pick ups in their 159.00 js 11 for crying out loud. It's a whole guitar for what Seymour Duncan invader pick ups cost for one pair. It's like comparing a Chevy corvette to a Chevy chevette
