I'm am 41 years old and Nirvana got me through my teen years. Unplugged is by far their greatest album and performance. My son is 11 and learning guitar and all he wants to learn are Nirvana songs. It's cool hearing him and his guitar teacher(who's in his late 20's) talk about and play this music I love so much!

My grandmother passed away in August of 2020. This was her favorite album. She always played it in the car when we went somewhere. She was so cool you guys. She was 57 when she passed. I’m so glad I have the memories of her listening and signing along to these songs

So sorry for your loss. Nirvana was a truly magical band and that is so awesome that you are able to connect these timeless, beautiful songs with her memory. If you haven't, you should check out other Nirvana albums like Nevermind, In Utero, Live at Reading 92, and Live at the Paramount. Nirvana completely changed the face of music forever during their relatively short existence (1987-1994).

    "Plateau"
    (originally by The Meat Puppets)
Many a hand has scaled the grand old face of the plateau
Some belong to strangers and some to folks you know
Holy ghosts and talk show hosts are planted in the sand
To beautify the foothills and shake the many hands
There's nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop
And an illustrated book about birds
You see a lot up there but don't be scared
Who needs action when you got words
When you've finished with the mop then you can stop
And look at what you've done
The plateau's clean, no dirt to be seen
And the work it was fun
There's nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop
And an illustrated book about birds
You see a lot up there but don't be scared
Who needs action when you got words
Well the many hands began to scan around for the next plateau
Some said it was in Greenland and some say Mexico
Others decided it was nowhere except for where they stood
But those were all just guesses, wouldn't help you if they could

    LYRICS:
Many a hand has scaled the grand old face of the plateau
Some belong to strangers and some to folks you know
Holy ghosts and talk show hosts are planted in the sand
To beautify the foothills and shake the many hands
Nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop
And an illustrated book about birds
See a lot up there but don't be scared
Who needs action when you got words
You've finished with the mop then you can stop
And look at what you've done
The plateau's clean, no dirt to be seen
And the work, it was fun
Nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop
And an illustrated book about birds
See a lot up there but don't be scared
Who needs action when you got words?
Many hands began to scan around for the next plateau
Some said it was in Greenland and some say Mexico
Others decided it was nowhere except for where they stood
But those were all just guesses
Wouldn't help you if they could
    Testing one, testing two
Cover your hair and your eyes
'Kay, this is called "Oh Me"

I grew up listening to Nirvana in the 90's as a teenager. My ex boyfriend when I was 28 abused the hell out of me. I would escape to a mini playground in the apartment complex listening to this, and dreamed of one day putting music, and my thoughts together in video. Now its happening, and haven't seen that dumbass in over 13yrs. Good ridance! Also thank you Kurt. I know you were in pain, but despite that It's unfortunate I will never be able to tell you how much comfort you brought to me when I felt worthless. RIP 🙏
