Love your vids. Very cool to watch the transformation. Excellent work. Keep em coming if you can. Nice work. I'd love to see a footnote on the tools, like the type and angle grind of that first bowl gouge. (Nice edit, magically went from four screws to six.)
Hi Chuck unfortunately not, if it wants to crack it will. A gradual drying process may help, I sometimes increase humidity by placing back in damp shavings. This can close cracks prior to finishing. 😃👍 If you haven't already, don't forget to subscribe to my NEW shorts channel 😉 thanks for your support !! th-cam.com/users/HarrySmithShorts

What kind of finish are you using? I started turning about 14 years ago, took a hiatus for about 4-5 years and have resumed. Was using a friction polish on just about everything but looking for other finishes.
Very satisfying to watch and the finished bowl is excellent. Well done Harry. Yes, I have subscribed and will be looking at your other videos and waiting for the newer ones as well.
Thanks for watching Thomas! I decided to switch to a scraper as I find to easier to use at the moment as I'm waiting for a new gouge to come and It also makes for good cinematography. Both carbide tools and traditional chisels get the work done, it just depends which one you want to use. I haven't put any finish on the bark, I felt it didn't really need it this time. 👍
I would like to give a huge shout out to those six, 1” screws. Excellent work gentleman. Way to hold on!

Thanks Nicholas, unfortunately it wasn't just down to 6. All 8 screw fixings were used to share the load! Team work is dream work..🪵😃👍
