Your the FIRST video that actually showed regular people really trying ebikes, with all the trials and fears. It was an honest video, not from experts that test all sorts of ebike and who have 5 different ones in their garage. THANK YOU. 😊
I'm 62 yeas old, I had some knee problems and stopped riding completely about 5 years ago. After I got my ebike, it was so much fun that I wanted to ride every chance I got. In seven months, I put over 1000 miles on it! Now I actually prefer riding hills and dirt trails. The fun just doesn't stop!
I am 62 as well and have had 8 back surgeries and 1 neck. Last week I did a test ride at their offices. I loved it. My demonstrator Lady helped me get it adjusted to me and it was great. I have one on order. I have 2 motorcycles yet this was as much fun if not more. I get it how you put the miles on it. Be safe.
You Both are Terrific People and I need to TY for Making my Wife Smile as She is Seriously Sick (Lupus’s) and Now as She is Succumbing to this Horrific illness you are showing Such Beauty of the Great Country we Share as seeing her Smile is HUGE and for that TYVM
We are so sorry to hear of your wife's struggles with Lupus. 😔 We are honored that our videos have been able to put smiles on her face! Our thoughts and best wishes are with you both🙏💜
Dang! It seems like these bikes are sent to every RV TH-camr out there once they hit about 100k subscribers. Thank you for your review, and for all the videos you make. I’m sure it’s challenging and time consuming to put these out every week, but it is appreciated. Enjoy your channel!
I don't blame you, it's been over 50 years since I have ridden a bike. I can't believe how difficult it is getting to balance again. Just got it today and after about 15 minutes of trying it out on my drive, I went to the house. There is always tomorrow! LOL!!!
I really enjoyed watching you two discover the electric bikes. I found myself chuckling at both of you as I reminisce about my wife and I on Segways out in the middle of a field. My wife and I have biked all over the nation I love it. However health issues finally caught up to our age. Both of you have so many Grand memories that is heartwarming for us to watch. We really love your Channel!
My wife and I have full size (they don’t fold) Sonders bikes. We take them on the Motorhome. They are great! If we’re just going for a weekend or a short trip we don’t bother with a tow car. We can get around so fast and comfortable that we don’t think twice about zipping around all over
My wife has a RadMini Step-Thru and I have a RadRover. I outweigh her by 80 lbs so she would out accelerate me and I ran into the battery drainage issue going the same distance.I upgraded my motor to a true 750W, 35A controller and battery to 52V 17.5AH. I can now go farther and also have the power/range to do 30-40 miles. The Sena's are a nice addition. I bought the first generation of the R1 and the music was a little tinny so I returned them. The new EVO version hopefully has better speaker clarity. These bikes have given us a new found energy that was missing with our conventional bikes. I added these for safety: Hafny Handlebar Bike Mirror. Enjoy your new rides!!
We have had our step thru for just over a month now and we just love them, we are 63 and 62 and with the pedal assist up inclines or hills it just unreal , we also have the Sena R1 helmets you will love the blue tooth, Thanks for the great video
I'm in my 70's and I bought one about a year ago (Lectric). i LOVE it but it is a little hard to handle folding it and putting it in a vehicle. Solution! I got a dirt bike carrier with a side ramp really cheap and put it on my hitch on my pickup. And my motor home. Makes it a snap to load and unload.
We have one of these bikes plus two Rad Power Bikes. Before I got my radwagon I put over 100 miles on the Lectric bike. It’s so much fun! Plus if you’re a big dude, I weigh over 250lbs, it handles like a dream. Amazing bikes and so fun!! Loved this video.
Been researching electric bikes since being past by people on them as we were huffing and puffing at a snails pace up a big hill. Thank you for sharing your experience with the ones you have chosen.
Great video! I love how your e-bikes fold up and how the battery is inside the frame. We built our e-bikes onto our existing mountain bikes and that's working out great for us for now. Have fun!
Wow! It's a little hard to believe that Tara and my wife's approach to bikes are about the same! You guys make a very compelling case and help to show that not only are they fun, but somebody that is apprehensive about these things like Tara can get on them and be safe and still enjoy them, even if there are a few stumbles and heart-racing moments along the way! Thanks again for a great video and taking the time to help showcase these and show us how use them to make things better and easier! Cheers!
You guys are just like my husband and me.....we got our bikes last year,...he rode his a lot, I found mine hard to manage. This year I got the step through...what a difference! Now trying to sell my original bike. I find my husband is far more adventurous than I am when it comes to peddle assist, and where we go with the bikes. Loved your video🥰
Hey Chad & Tara.... Just wanted to let you know that I got my XP yesterday and Debi's Step Thru will be here around May 4th!!! We love them! Of course we used your link, so we also got the Pannier Bags. Since Lectric is Headquartered here in north Phoenix, only about 14 minutes from our home, we decided to take advantage of a Factory Demo ride with Luke (the Showroom Manager...and a REALLY great guy!) We hope to be able to see you all again, in person, somewhere down the road! (Been a LONG time since our visit in Tampa 2019) You both take care.... Ken & Debi
I agree with you about the 20-MPH, the 25 MPH on the skinny tired bike I had, started feeling it was about at maximum comfortable speed down a grade. (Forget trying to go 25-MPH uphill, especially under 100% peddle power. (Years ago old style steel frame bicycle, not an e-bike).
Thank you for going through the whole learning curve. I also haven't been on a bike in seriously years but these ebikes interest me for potentially commuting to work. But I am also nervous about how I'd pick it up, so I appreciated seeing the growing pains of learning again.
i just got 2 of the lectric bikes and they are so much fun..they also have a cruise control and walk mode. search TH-cam how to activate it. its a great extra feature.
We love our Lectric bikes! We just finished riding from Pittsburgh to Cumberland (GAP trail) and back (300 miles) on our Lectric bikes. If you are ever in that area its a great trail to check out. You did a good job explaining the ins and out of the bikes. There is a significant wait time for the bikes, but so worth the wait and you are helping to support a small family business!
Glad to see you on ebikes. I have the specialized coma and it only weighs 48 lbs. we also have the Sena 1 helmets. We love 💕 talking to each other. We have visors coming tomorrow for them. I would suggest mirrors for safety so you can see what is coming up behind us. Enjoy your new bikes. ❤️❤️
Great video! I wiped out the first time on mine. I was trying to go fast through the mud on a trail the day after a downpour at Toulouse State Park in Alabama a few months ago. Lesson learned!
Almost 70 and Love my step through! It’s heavy so I can’t lift it into or onto anything. Got a Thule EZ fold bike rack for my car (no RV just a tent) and it has a small ramp included so I can wheel the bike up onto it. It’s an awesome and fun bike! I need a Cloud 9 seat though.....and maybe that suspension post!
We really love our Lectric ebikes. We got two step thru bikes because we wanted to have the same battery (if only one of us is riding, take both batteries and double the range) and (more limiting) we have 3 knee replacements between the 2 of us (makes it challenging to maneuver sometimes).
Ordered a Lectric early February, they got my money within a day now we are into March and haven’t heard a word. So I ordered a Friend ebike and had it in less than a week and love it. I am still waiting for the Lectric. Based on the Friend ebike I think I’m going to love taking it in our 5th wheel.
Just a little tip to be able to go out ebike riding with your little dog. Get yourself a Buddyrider dog bike seat which is more safe for a dog than a basket.
eBikes are amazing! And I'm coming to that conclusion as a non-eBike cyclist who rides 5,000 miles per year! You have so much freedom on a bicycle, and you can cover more ground compared to walking. The electric assist makes it far easier for folks who aren't quite in "bike shape." :) YES on the helmet at all times.
I've seen quite a few other reviews and clips on them, but yours is the first one that goes into what the pedal assist is all about and breaks it down into much easier to understand reasoning - thanks!!
Love the channel and a great job on the Lectric review. You have inspired us and we plan to transition to a fifth wheel when we park our boat for the last time. Just one thing to note knowing how safety conscious you guys are, Michael Schumacher’s head injury was caused by his helmet cam mount breaching the shell when he fell skiing.
Hey guys the first thing I noticed was that you talked about grade percentage as a trucker I understand this language a lot of people may not so I appreciate you bringing this point our first minute or so in this video thank you so much
Thanks for sharing these e bikes with your viewers, it's a great bike especially for the price. We've had our Lectric bikes since January. They've been so much fun to ride during the pandemic and when camping. We also got the Sena R1 bluetooth helmets that I saw on Lyf Uninterrupted. I love that we can communicate safely when on the road, listen to GPS or music. The combination of these two products have added extra joy to us during this very unusual year.
Bought 2 RadMinis this year and absolutely love them. easy to ride and very durable. Have travelled 6000K with them on our carrier and look forward to putting them on t he 5th we get.
We want to thank you for the recommendation of these bikes. We ordered ours this morning and used ChangingLanes to get our free bags and on top of that we got 5% military discount of the total price. Thank you again.
If you are looking for a removable basket (quick-release) take a serious look at the Wald baskets. Great quality made in USA basket and work really well. Several designs (133 and 3133 are QR); should be able to find a fit (but all those cables might get in the way a bit). Our first introduction was on the rental bikes in Hilton Head; they seem to be on all the bikes.
Great video guys. We purchased 2 Lectric bikes as well several months ago to be primarily used while camping. However we've been on several rides at home on Cape Cod with them and absolutely love them. We also ended up purchasing Senna bike helmets which have a Bluetooth intercom between your helmets, which is very cool as well. Enjoy the bikes and your travels throughout New England!
Great video .... Thanks! I am 68, and I had a road bike for many years. I ordered a black Lectric XP a few days ago. I am looking forward to riding again .... with a little assist!
Just ordered two of these ebikes. Much thanks for the promocode and for the excellent review. Once again, I have learned something from you two and that is saying something as I am 68 and have been RVing for 25 years.
Bus driver here: stay safe out there! I see bikers that don’t follow the rules of the road, all the time. I call them deer on roller skates. I think ebikes would help with stopping at stop signs, but riding during rush hour is a huge problem here. Stay on the greenways and out of traffic, unless you’re on a motorcycle ;-)
This was great info. We’re in the market for ebikes, and there’s a lot to like about these. This price is great for what we want to use them for and just getting started with this type of gear. Thanks so much!!!
Fun. My hubby has Lectric. It was really fun to commute to work but too heavy for me as a 5’ person to maneuver onto train 2 times and in and out of office daily. But I love the ride and how comfortable & safe it was on street. Great reviews of fun. 👍🏼👏👏❤️
That was a good video on these bikes. We're in our 60's and have had ours a little over a year and ride them quite often. We prefer asphalt trails but we have taken them off roading up mountainous terrain too. I would caution you to take extra provisions to secure the handle bar clamp. We had a 68yo friend take a serious tumble due to the handle bar clasp coming undone while riding. He was rushed to the ER and sustained over 100 stitches and 25 staples from the mishap. We attached a radiator clamp to our handle bars for extra protection fyi. We have the Sena helmets, they are costly but SO worth it!! Adds to the enjoyment of riding our Lectric bikes immensely!
Great video. Fun at the end in that 26 yrs ago, we lived in Morristown and spent a lot of time at Panther Creek SP! Those are cool bikes, maybe when we go full time in a couple of yrs, we’ll see what’s available then. Ya’ll have a great week!
That was excellent. I get that it was sponsored but it can probably be applied to any electric bike. I love how you showcased that e-bikes are appropriate for all generations. Having said that I really like the Lectric models. 😊
This is an excellent video both fun and extremely educational. Lets you know what the bikes can do and the excitement and fun you'll have doing it. They give you that real look at me look at you moments.
Now because of you guys I am hesitating between the Lectric XP and the Radmini from Radpower. Love your videos and thumbs up for your way of living and helping others to comprehend that style of life........Wish you the best....
We love our Lectrics. We were out on them twice this week. Looks like the RadMini has a leg up with the 750W motor and front shocks. Of course, it is 50% more $$....
Yes love the bikes we have been doing a lot of homework on them, We will be getting a b=much bigger battery through so its more Time , ridding time and having More Power to get up the Hills.. But we are in the Price Range of 15 to 1800 getting more butt lol in the battery/ battery life.. Love how you had Family in on a Video to.. That was Cool.. And as always We Thank You for your Time ..
Great video, Great save Tara I was on the edge of my seat for a moment and yes 28 mph will break bones, and provide plenty of road rash if safety is not heeded. Waiting for the Chad and Tara electric bike X games video. For a second we thought for sure Chad was going through that creek. We’ve had our Lectric bikes for about a month now and are wonderful addition to the on the road goodies. They fit perfectly in the luggage bays of our coach a definite plus. Stay safe see ya next video 👍🇺🇸🧑🚀
Hey guys just bought 2 XP2.0 with the extended batteries. One point I have chronic Lymes and I’m from Ct. where the name came from and it’s to say not fun so I can sympathize. Unfortunately not much you can do with it.every time I get tagged my lips go numb and yes I had Bells Palsey. Doctors couldn’t figure out what I had a physicians Assistant new and said he’s got Lymes. Doxycycline was horrible and I took everyone one. One thing keep drinking fluids I found this helps and Vitamin C . Love your video it’s really good. Thanks..
There is also cruise control on those XP bikes which means THROTTLE to which ever speed you want & press the - minas button you will not have to pedal or brake you slow down/ come to a stop. I use an E.bike myself in a different model with the same diameter & 20x4.0 foldable trip mode 1-5
Many states have very strict laws regarding ebike off-road usage so be careful out there. Riding on hiking paths in the woods in metro and state parks is generally illegal. For instance, in Ohio where I live "No person shall operate a class 1 electric bicycle, a class 2 electric bicycle, or a class 3 electric bicycle on a path that is intended to be used primarily for mountain biking, hiking, equestrian use, or other similar uses, or any other single track or natural surface trail that has historically been reserved for nonmotorized use".
Another great video! We have the same two bikes, they are as much fun as they look. You have to watch the pedal assist level in your riding conditions or it will take you down like it did Tara. That is the biggest adjustment, I think. Like chad said, “use the brakes!”.
I’m still waiting for my bike to ship. Cant wait!!! Been over 8 weeks waiting so far and got an email yesterday that it’s going to be another 2 weeks or so.
I just got my first camper. It’s used and we are doing a total rehab on it. My son is a construction and remodel person on residential. He knows electrical and plumbing as well as hvac certified. So it is a 5th wheel converted to a gooseneck. B and W is what I want. E-trailer appears to have one but I will have to wait for it to be shipped. I have not ordered it yet because I wanted to check to see if you are affiliated with them and I should let them know when I order it. So if you are please let me know.
Great presentation. Did you return the bikes? I paid for a new bike and Lectric sent me a lemon. Customer service and the owners were very rude. Asked Arizona AG to look into the matter. Be safe in this pandemic.
Omg, can I just say how much I love your outtakes...when I saw Chad's mom riding she is close to my age I'm like that is what Santa might bring me...so glad you are back to traveling...take care, and keep having fun..love Peggy 💗 ♥ 💓
Fun video as usual. I have a class 3 because I didn’t want a throttle. I’ve never had mine higher than 18 mph though. Something to mention when you discuss riding at 28 mph, please know that most trails have a speed limit even if not posted due to there being walkers on the trails. There can be a 15 mph speed limit for safety reasons.
We just ordered a couple Lectric eBikes ourselves and can hardly wait to try them out. after that, we saw EnjoyTheJourney's video, yours and several others! It makes me feel that we made the right decision.
YES, they are a blast! I have a RAD Mini fold-up. Cost more, but I don't think Lectric had come on the scene, yet. Looks like all the controls are identical. You should get the best hill-pulling power out of position 4, as #5 is for speed. Even though my wheels are 22", they are still a bit squirrely at low speeds, but great with anything above 10mph. Enjoyed the bike tours.
I did see a youtube video where someone store theirs in a 55 gallon plastic storage bin purchased at Lowes. I'll probably do the same thing and store mine in the truck during transient
Thanks Guys, great videos. Ordered the black-step-thru for the wife and applied your code for the free PannIer bag. Maybe we will see you in our travals. Stay safe and take care.
Fun video. There are lighter EBikes. Swagtron EB5 Pro Plus at 37lbs also folds. Tiny no frills but at 499.00 still a solid little bike. Not a trail bike however but solid for roads and hills.
We love our Lectric bikes. Getting ready to post our video of us riding them all through Stone Mountain. So great to have with our Class C because we don't have a toad.
Well, I did it. My Christmas gift to myself. I was going to buy a bike rack for the suv but this looks better. Black Friday special included the bag and upgrade post. I can’t wait to get it. I did mention your TH-cam names.
Use code ChangingLanes for free pannier bags, like we have on ours. 👍🏼 😀
Code does not work.
Our code worked last night. Capital C; capital L.
I tried a 6 combinations none worked.
Code not working
Must add bag to cart for code to work

I don't blame you, it's been over 50 years since I have ridden a bike. I can't believe how difficult it is getting to balance again. Just got it today and after about 15 minutes of trying it out on my drive, I went to the house. There is always tomorrow! LOL!!!

Great video! I love how your e-bikes fold up and how the battery is inside the frame. We built our e-bikes onto our existing mountain bikes and that's working out great for us for now. Have fun!
Again, the sound track was amazingly relevant and great! You guys ROCK!!!
I love all the camera angles you use on your rides, plus the views from the drone. Thanks for another great video.

I bought mine in June for my 60th Birthday gift to ME! LOVE my Lectric Bike and now Hubby wants one also. Well most who ride it want one! LOL

Loved your ride, had fun with you. We got one and an electric trike, SOOooooo much fun.
Thanks for the tip! 👍🏼 Will check them out...
👍
Just ordered two of these ebikes. Much thanks for the promocode and for the excellent review. Once again, I have learned something from you two and that is saying something as I am 68 and have been RVing for 25 years.
Bus driver here: stay safe out there! I see bikers that don’t follow the rules of the road, all the time. I call them deer on roller skates. I think ebikes would help with stopping at stop signs, but riding during rush hour is a huge problem here. Stay on the greenways and out of traffic, unless you’re on a motorcycle ;-)
mine will be here 12/3 cant wait!!! 63 copd use to hike hunt bike ride touring bike---- etc....
This was great info. We’re in the market for ebikes, and there’s a lot to like about these. This price is great for what we want to use them for and just getting started with this type of gear. Thanks so much!!!
Your video is excellent. It helped me figure out this is the first ebike I want to purchase.
Thanks, guys you just cost me 4000.00 dollars
Would love to see anything more on this.
10 of 10 amazing video.
Thanks
Ouch! do yours have the twist-lock integrated into the handle bars? These do, so it's two steps to unlock and fold them...
Now that's a bike that I could ride
This is an excellent video both fun and extremely educational. Lets you know what the bikes can do and the excitement and fun you'll have doing it. They give you that real look at me look at you moments.
Now because of you guys I am hesitating between the Lectric XP and the Radmini from Radpower. Love your videos and thumbs up for your way of living and helping others to comprehend that style of life........Wish you the best....
We love our Lectrics. We were out on them twice this week. Looks like the RadMini has a leg up with the 750W motor and front shocks. Of course, it is 50% more $$....
I went to the factory store in N Phoenix last Monday for a test ride and bought one. It will be here around the 15 of Nov 2020. Can not wait.
our test drive was fab too
Appreciated the truth of being nervous
I likely would have tried the creek if there were no witnesses.. 😳
🙈🙉🙊
Hey guys just bought 2 XP2.0 with the extended batteries. One point I have chronic Lymes
and I’m from Ct. where the name came from and it’s to say not fun so I can sympathize.
Unfortunately not much you can do with it.every time I get tagged my lips go numb and
yes I had Bells Palsey. Doctors couldn’t figure out what I had a physicians Assistant new
and said he’s got Lymes. Doxycycline was horrible and I took everyone one. One thing
keep drinking fluids I found this helps and Vitamin C . Love your video it’s really good.
Thanks..
There is also cruise control on those XP bikes which means THROTTLE to which ever speed you want & press the - minas button you will not have to pedal or brake you slow down/ come to a stop. I use an E.bike myself in a different model with the same diameter
& 20x4.0 foldable trip mode 1-5
We got ours in July, they fit well in the 5th wheel. We like them lots !
We love our ebikes! A little bigger than yours but we have an ebike rack on the back of our motorhome.
Another great video! We have the same two bikes, they are as much fun as they look. You have to watch the pedal assist level in your riding conditions or it will take you down like it did Tara. That is the biggest adjustment, I think. Like chad said, “use the brakes!”.
Nancy and I love ours! Got them before the step-through was available. Loved your video and your music!
Darn, something else we need to get now 😜 Fun 👍❤️
So much fun, thanks for sharing! I got a Rad City e-bike last Christmas, but these seem pretty great and more approachable.
Excellent idea, just be sure to order it at least six months before you plan to ride it.
We are and thank you for asking! 👊🏼 If you use this link then order, we should get credit: www.etrailer.com/?etam=b0003
Thanks again!
It’s refreshing to see a review of these bikes from someone close to my age. I haven’t seen many reviews with Judas Priest and Vacation references. 👍
We just ordered a couple Lectric eBikes ourselves and can hardly wait to try them out.
after that, we saw EnjoyTheJourney's video, yours and several others! It makes me feel that we made the right decision.
Nice video. I am waiting fir delivery of my bike soon. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for the video. Ordered mine today! Shipping is up to 3 weeks due to demand. Thanks for sharing
I did see a youtube video where someone store theirs in a 55 gallon plastic storage bin purchased at Lowes. I'll probably do the same thing and store mine in the truck during transient
Love our electric bikes. We have a cart we attach so we can take our mini schnauzer with us.
Ordered one few days ago to go under the bed In my van I'm almost done building. Retire in 18 weeks.
You can use bike helmets during tornado weather for safety protection too!
Well, I did it. My Christmas gift to myself. I was going to buy a bike rack for the suv but this looks better. Black Friday special included the bag and upgrade post. I can’t wait to get it. I did mention your TH-cam names.
Merry Christmas! 😊
I just ordered one for hubby as well. Hope you get credit. Keep the content coming. Love ya
You guys seam to have lots of fun on the electric bikes.
Don't forget about Lucille, she might get jealous.
These are awesome, definitely the way to go. Thanks for the information!
