Pretty hard to tell from a video but i think you had a running problem when you shot this. Maybe an injector or something more serious, but mine doesn't vibrate that much with old mounts. Hopefully the car is still around and in good health!

I ended up selling/trading the car for a work truck for my business, I was getting frustrated with all the little issues that kept cropping up and wanted to get back to my OM617 roots where I was more comfortable doing repairs.
I believe there was some of the notorious OM606 valve recession happening, the engine had over 370k miles on it at this point, and maybe at 365k I took the intake off to find it fully caked with EGR soot and spent some time cleaning and remedying that issue, but the damage had been done, along with a previous owners failed glowplug replacement damaging the head caused a very rough idle until there was a little heat in the engine.

How did you lift you motor? 2 tons jack? If yes where did you put it? On oil carter?

Yep, a regular floor jack, 2 ton harbor freight special. I put a piece of plywood or some decently thick and flat wood between the jack and the oil pan so it wouldn't crush the pan in when I lifted it, and I only lifted it just enough to slip the old mounts out and squeeze in the new ones.

U used Lamforder brand? Is it made in Germany or China?

Indeed I used Lemforder mounts, they have for years been made in Germany, the ones I used were marked as made in Germany, I have heard some of their products have begun manufacturing in China, I haven't heard a lot good or bad about the chinese made mounts, so they may be just as good, I would imagine a company as large as ZF would be doing some pretty serious quality control, but you never know.

Lemforder is Chinese now...... You need Febi with Boge reading on it.

Good to know. This video was from a looooong time ago, I know back in the day lemforder was the oem supplier for mercedes, best of the best from what I knew, guess times have changed.
I recently ran into issues with a different part on my w123, replaced with lemforder, and it has rapidly failed, a replacement febi branded part I ordered just arrived today. Bummer to see quality parts getting outsourced and quality going down.

    why no "how to" video??

I hadn't really started making videos as much back when I did this. I totally should have, just wasn't thinking as much about making videos. I don't have the w124 anymore now, maybe one day I'll end up with one or access to one and I'll make some vids on maintaining them.
