Best nine club so far. Laughed the entire time. I've been an Jason Ellis and nine club fan for a long time. So glad to see this happen. Thank you guys! Nine club for life!
You know Ellis? Please tell him skateboarding is so glad to have him back! Watching him skate makes my 42 year old ass want to also skate stay motivated
Man I love Jason Ellis, his book “I’m Awesome” was one of the things that helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel when I was in one of the darkest places in my life
Last time I saw Ellis in Australia (around 04-05) he jumped like 8 feet into the vert ramp at Prahran, slammed to the flat bottom, pissed himself and got taken away in an ambo. Ellis is all kinds of gnarly
I was there as well it nearly starting to get dark. He slammed so many times. It was one of them time you had too see it with your eyes and can't explain it. It was so insane for even trying it. Good times
Seriously. My favorite episode hands down. I'm sitting at work with headphones on laughing like an idiot. It's good to see Ellis back in the skate universe.
At 31 I've found my new role model in life. Fuckin love you Jason Ellis, love your first book, have the second on order and I binged every Ellis show y'all put out for the past month. Skateordie and I can't believe I forgot about you for so many years yet so fuckin happy you are doing the damn thing now. It's helping me out a lot mentally. I'm no one to you but if you're helping me it only makes sense that there are several others who look up to you. By the way, I'm going to continue asking for a bad grease Ellis shark board. It's to awesome to not be restocked.
I feel the same way man at 25 discovered ellis 4/5 months ago thru hawkwolf and he’s definitely become one of my role models really helped me learn how to embrace change and make the best of it started a new career two months ago and last month made more money than I ever have in one month and I really do think ellis helped me learn to step out of my comfort zone and go for it not only that but hes helped me learn a lot about how people change and how to forgive and not be judgmental and how important it is to do stuff you love to do just for the fun of it as well. “All hail the king of the west!!”
i love ellis. so humble, such a great personality. he always seems genuinely stoked and a bit surprised to hear how much he means to people and skateboarding as a whole.
you can tell he's a good conversationalist because depending on the audience, he changes how he tells the same story by focusing on different details and including or excluding some jokes that may or may not suit the audience. genius...
Agree! Ellis is the man, he isn’t afraid of change, he jumps right into it and makes it work. listening to him on hvw and on his pod has helped me get my life on track learning how to apply that kind of shoot for the stars and just make it work attitude do whatever u gotta do and believe in urself!!
I just recently found all the Tony Hawk's Gigantic Skate Park tour episodes on here and Ellis is easily the best reason to watch it haha. Hearing him reference some of those demo slams in the beginning of this was especially great. Jason Ellis you're the SHIT, dude.
I watched Ellis skate a number of times in Australia from the platform. Had such a rad style. Huge front side ollies where his front leg would hang over the front of the board. He also has the longest and best salad grinds of all time.
So so so happy Ellis is back into skateboarding and all things skateboarding. This was a great episode can't wait for the Stop and Chat episode so we can all watch old and new Ellis clips with his commentary.
Always been a huge fan of Ellis mate, and I'm so fucking stoked seeing him get back into skating. Plus killing it with the podcasts and standup! Now he's on my all time favorite podcast, finally 💚
Damn this is by far one of the best episodes for sure! I saw the comments but now i understand fully. This man made me laugh, gave me life peasoms, and helped me push past fear. Love Ellis.
WOWWWW was this one of the best in a while. Nine clubs pulled some greatness before but this was much needed. Jason is a legend I love this dude. I laughed almost the entire time. Bless this dude
Cool! Hawk vs. Wolf is an awesome podcast, which I've only just discovered in recent weeks. Been really digging Jason Ellis; didn't really know too much about him before that, although apparently he's a big celebrity outside of skating, which is cool. I remember he had a reputation as being a bit of a wild partier vert dude back in the day. I checked out his old stuff on Powell and he seriously rips. Seen him do a varial kickflip indy (which Tony Hawk also did) on Hawk vs. Wolf, so he's definitely still got crazy skills on a ramp. A really interesting, funny dude. This should be great.
I still listen to this episode weekly, ellis is hands down 1 of the best guests you guys have had, please bring him back, maybe a vert review section occasionally. Grew up on Lance, street, small wheels 90s and I finally appreciate vert, so good!
Awesome episode! 🤘 Ellis gets better with each podcast he does. He's been entertaining in all of em no doubt it's just this one was his best yet, I believe! Dope ass episode guys!! 🍻🍻💪💪
I've seen and heard of Jason ellis a ton over my life being a skater. Never really followed or watched his shit much but this episode made me fall in love with him as a person. Great fucking interview man.
I used to shoot hoops right beside the Prahran skate park (Halfpipe and Bowl) in the late 80's early 90's and Ellis, The Pappas Brothers etc would be on the halfpipe all day everyday. Ellis was one of the few skaters that would come over and chat and shoot about every now and then. Cool dude, no ego unlike the other two. Seems he has lived quite the life since those days. LOL.
Great podcast!!! The Nine Club brings the entertainment with little dead air and genuine interest in their Interviews. Jason Ellis is so funny and down to earth human. Solid show!!!
Best nine club so far. Laughed the entire time. I've been an Jason Ellis and nine club fan for a long time. So glad to see this happen. Thank you guys! Nine club for life!
good show! th-cam.com/video/TMCOrD2XpyM/w-d-xo.html The skater next door is dope too!!!!

Instant classic. I can see why he got into Comedy, this was one of the top 3 funniest episodes of all time so far.
Seriously. My favorite episode hands down. I'm sitting at work with headphones on laughing like an idiot. It's good to see Ellis back in the skate universe.

Finally got Ellis and Im happy to see it, I love this guy he is so genuine and truly loves skateboarding.
Wow Jason your the man for going out on a limb telling us your life story! I’m glad you could turn it around for the good! Great job bro!

I love this episode! Laughing and smiling for almost 3 hours straight! ..I keep coming back and watching. I love Ellis. Thank you Nine Club!
How can you dislike Ellis. Guy's the fucking best
Because he was a prick
Thank you for being so transparent with all the shit you had to deal with. Keep your head high and be YOU!
