My favorite series and PM! You’re the reason I’m transitioning to PM. I obtained my certification back in September and it has definitely opened doors for me. The entire time I was studying I kept telling myself “You can do anything you put your mind to.” I started interviewing for PM roles last month. Before every interview I tell myself “you can do anything you put your mind to.” I’m so excited. I’m hoping to land a new PM role at my dream company next month! Thank you Kristyn!

Having been in the PM space for 27 years (just retired on medical disability) I miss it. I took the test one time and didn’t pass in year 10 and I never wanted to take it again. But I was able to take certs to help me become a better PM. Then I became a BA, PC and Prokect Analyst. I loved my career but it was met with everyday challenges that would try to break me as an African American woman in a male dominated field at that time. It’s intense but you also gotta be organized and task oriented. Love this video thanks for bringing insight.
I also found you looking into project management, love this kind of content!! I am currently an HR Business Partner and have managed several projects/change management efforts over the past years. I sit for my exam in March and I know it will be a value add. Keep sharing the career gems, happy holidays!🤩🤩
. . . OMGosh--I've been looking at HRBP roles because I've managed HR projects. 😍 I think I want to continue as a senior PM, but formally/officially be a part of HR with a focus on HRIS.
Loved this! Definitely want a more detailed version. And to also hear your perspective of how you balance being a full time career woman with having a side hustle as a TH-cam and content creator. I have a full time career in B2B marketing and advertising and I used to have a full time business as a marketing consultant, but since I took on my full time role I'm finding it difficult to find the time to still do my side hustle, which is what I'm really passionate about. So any insights and perspective that you can give on this and how to balance it all would be very much appreciated. 🥰
I just wanna say I’ve been watching you since 2020 and I was a recent undergrad then. You really inspired me to get into the business management field. Next year I will starting my MiM program and you are definitely a catalyst in me make this decision so thank you thank you!! ❤️
Thank you for this series. It's been my 2nd yeat working remotely and almost 1st when I'm working as a PM and I'm learning a lot- I'm actually starting my studies next month (business management in marketing), so yeah it's serious for me (also I'm ADHD so it's a blessing for my chaotic life) and I'm really feeling it. What I'm battling with are those moments when projects are on hold or there is nothing really to do, because everything is on time and the guilt I get from past years of the fake hustle culture- I'm trying to spend that time as productive as I can by watching some webinars or finding just new ways to educate myself and improve0 or just do some house chores :D
Im taking biz admin for my BS degree . I am currently taking a PM course and I am noticing that I am doing extremely well in the course, and it has intrigued me. I think I may have found a new career!
. . . same. I'm a nervous test taker, so I was scared to sit for it; I opted to sit for the CAPM instead. Interestingly enough, people have told me after the fact that the CAPM is more difficult than the PMP because it's 90% situational (which comes easy for some once you have the mindset) and you really have to know your stuff with the CAPM even though it's marketed as "entry-level"...I'm a senior PM BTW, but the growth don't stop. 💯 Best wishes, Valerie! 🤗 Kristyn, thanks boo as always--you know I love your PM uploads! 💜
I remember I first found you looking into project management :”) ! I went the auditor route which probably fits my personality better 😂but you inspire me in so many ways ! ♥️

I honestly think it’s worth it to get the PMP. Best part about it is a lot of employers will pay for it. If they’re giving it to you for free just do the work and get it. it’ll benefit you long-term.
Yes yes and yes 🙌🏾 🙌🏾🙌🏾 I’m currently working on my MBA and really don’t know anyone who has theirs and has experience in the fields that I’d like to work in. Thanks in advance Kristyn lol🤣🤣 ❤️💫

Kristyn I have been following you for some time now and I have been really thinking about PM. I have a crazy question would you consider doing a live training/class to help people prepare for the exam ?

An MBA from a University in my country is significantly cheaper and sometimes even free... (Also Im 28... Is it too late for all this? 😞 spent my early years in education) I would be SO thankful for any views & suggestions IF possible and I really hope I am not disrespecting your time ! ❤
