Building Family Accommodation for Christmas

- This week we’re starting to put together our accommodation for when Luke’s family come to stay at Christmas. Dogs take up the house so a few little cabins/sheds in the backyard, we’re hoping will house all our human guests. We’ve got plenty of helpers for the project and they’re highly experienced in digging, marking and chewing on measured out stakes.
The structure of the day, apart from feeding time is not our usual routine, but there’s still time for a swim in the heat and lots of cuddles. Whilst they’re long days for the pack on the tools, getting to stay outside late into the evening with Luke on site has been a treat for the doggies.

Luke, Jack of all trades just like my sweetheart and many Aussie blokes. It was extremely hot today, yet he was out there building a new deck around the pool. There is not much he can't do, he never complains and is always ready to make a dad joke. He always has time for me and others always giving and never asking for anything in return. Blokes like Luke and my man are priceless. 💖
I was very naive and thought ALL men were pretty much Jack of all Trades. I grew up with my father being able to do a great many things and then married to a man who does the same. Luv em to bits. My father has since sadly passed but my husband is showing our son all he knows. My son gave his dad the greatest compliment by saying to me that ‘if he is half the man his dad is he’ll be happy’. Awww. Luke and others like him are so precious. They are builders, plumbers, electricians, horticulturists, car maintenance, etc, cooks, great dads, loving husbands, all round good blokes. 💖💚💜
Housework skills need a bit of work but can’t complain. 😂🤣😂🤣😂
The Aussie bloke seems like an amazing "breed". They are very rare here in Sweden though. 😉😇💖

I’ve noticed all Aussies that I have come in contact are so much like this! So chill and I just love anything to do with Australia! And my favorite entertainer of all time is Kiwi born but Australian raised! The incredible Keith Urban. ❤️

Anyone else struck by how very graceful Freddo is when he leaps into the pool? He’s a big boy and can seen quite weighty on land, but then he leaps and is like a ballet dancer floating through the air. Love the doggo named Freddo! ❤

I also have a soft spot for freddo we use to have a rotti in my teenage years. Also I remember one morning when I saw the freddo adopted video I thought great stuff finally his got a home an then it was the Evens famy behind the gate lol that made me cry. How life has changed for freddo.
Absolutely. Remember when Freddo was nervous and distrustful of water? Look at him now! It's not right to have favorites, but Freddo has a special place in my heart.
Wow!! Watching this again after 9 months... Wolfie has grown SO MUCH since this video was shot!! I guess that means I'm that much older too 😂. And the changes in our pack is amazing! They're maturing beautifully.❤❤ 😊

Freddo & the Shepherds are so great about watching over Wolfie. So many years of his life in cages to be such a wonderful dog is so amazing. ❤️
Freddo is a top notch fellow and probably my fav even though I hate to have favs. But I tell each one of my adult children that he and she are my fav. Maybe they will swap stories one day and know why I do that!
Gus is always a fun dog to watch. He's so extravagantly beautiful and elegant looking and yet at heart he's a prankster and a bit of a clown and goofball.
Roscoe is monitoring every dog that might disturb the peace and puts himself between that dog and Luke 😄love it.

Absolutely!!! His fur coat “shine” is spectacular. He is just beautiful inside and out. Love when he goes in the pool and very gently grabs Elle trying to drag her out of the pool! I have a rescue as well and they know that they have been given a second chance on life and are so appreciative and grateful!!!adopt don’t shop!!!

Tank isn't too far from him either! Tank has a special love for Wolfie! I love the bond they have with each of the kids, but there are a few that really stand out ❤

I love it when Luke talks about and points out some of the dogs personalities I. E. Tank or is it Chopper who has a light touch, Gus who goes full bore and Cuitie Pie who has all the dogs under her control. He mentioned how he lets the dogs know when they are chomping on him too strongly - Luke brings out each one’s personalities. It’s fun to see and learn from that. He has taught me so much with those observations.

Also it's pure joy to see Rover so happy, so thankful he's not in the shelter, warms my heart so much 💙👋🏼

My prayer and dream are that shelters are not necessary.
That is partly why they end up in shelters. Smart dog's learn bad behaviours just as quickly as they learn good one's, plus being an active and clever breed together, can make for trouble , hence they get dumped.
All too often people choose the wrong breed for themselves, some falling for looks alone and other's think that the puppy comes naturally pre trained. and then there are folks who should just never have a dog in the first place.

The energy is different with Sam at the pool and it’s cool! Violet, so confident swimming, Shadow happily yipping her way around, the young boys retrieving like mad, and Rover just days away from being as confident in the water as Roscoe, Neveah and Freddo. Love love love this pool day! 💕💕

Didn't know anything about Pug dog's before The Farm video's, I have learnt so much from watching Cuttie, love Cuttie, now every Pug I meet I have to tell the parent about Cuttie and how much I think Pugs are little " champions". Also, every time I see Cuttie I think of the T shirt I saw while living in the US, " If You Can't Run With The Big Dog's, stay on the Porch". That describes Cutties personality spot on.
We remember Gus playing with Shadow when Shadow still made us nervous. Big tip-of-the-hat to Gus.
Yes he was never fearful of her just playful and she responded.

Me too. Had a soft spot for Chance ever since he came to the farm and have been cheering him along. The effort from both him and Luke brings tears to my eyes but even more, a smile to my face and warmth in my ❤️❤️
The only one who didn’t seem to want to be in on the cuddles was Cutie Pie - she was too busy being the energiser bunny. 😂🤣

I don't know why it has taken me so long to realise just how fabulous Barney's white paws are 😍😂 Gus and Maggie lying down and playing is lovely to see, and Cutie Pie is definitely the entertainer. Chance has the biggest smile ever and it's good to see Rover relax. Also really enjoyed the discussion of the dog's characters. 💜💕

Rover seems quite relaxed while at The Farm, even while he is ever watchful of Chance. Love Roscoe's face when dad is holding him and rubbing his head, such a handsome boy.
I get tickled. When Roscoe wants Luke solo, he growls. He's jealous. Lol, when Luke corrects him next to Chance he pouts sometimes. So funny it's when sitting by picnic table
I'm absolutely amazed at what Luke can do one-handed, whether hooking up a large load while holding Wolf or a camera while he loads stakes. Bravo! ❤❤🙏🙏🐾🐾🌴🌴
I was amazed also when he hooked up that load! Not sure I could do it with two free hands! 🤣🤣
Well I do believe Luke was an under water technician ( blowing up stuff ) so I would think one handed stuff would be a walk in the park for him...I guess if they ever need to take down buildings or trees etc...he's your man!!! I have to laugh when you talk about Joey biting the rug as if to show CP “this is you, yeah!”… she has long been my favorite barker the way she shows her teeth with so much enthusiasm when the dogs are jumping into the pool after toys. It’s just the best!
It makes my heart so full seeing all these beautiful happy dogs. Barney has grown so much and looks so fit and healthy ~ Maggie too. Lily's treatments and supplements are really making a difference, wow! She seems to be feeling so much better. Theres an extra brightness to her these days. I could just go on and on. ❤😍❤😍❤😍❤🙁
Maybe call the sheds "cabanas"? Sam asks Rosco if he jumped the fence again, and Rosco looks at her with a "Maybe". Chopper is too funny with his 'kissing'. Cutie Pie is totally fearless! Loved this.
Wolfie your living my grandsons dream, he's 3, he would love all the farm life and dont even talk about that excavator.

Donald will be sad to go. He has had a long holiday at the farm. He is lucky to have a lovely family who gives him the opportunity to spend extended time with his friends 🐶 Rover will be in the pool soon 😉

I never realised how interesting holes in the ground can be! All the dogs seem to be fascinated anyway ……
Oh yes, dogs love holes! When I would take my pug to the beach she would dig for hours until she fell in and couldn't get herself back out. 😆😆😆 Then I'd go pick her up and she'd start a new hole someplace else. Before we could leave the beach I had to go around filling up all those holes! Good memories!
Like how when Luke talks about different dogs he imitates them..

Oooof. I felt tired and stressed watching Luke and all he had to do for Christmas. It was so heartwarming to see Rover by the pool, happily wagging his tail while playing with a pool toy. He is happy-go-lucky. Enzo is such a beautiful dog. Good to see him.
All 5 GS pups are stunning! I had a rescue for 15 years! We loved her so so much! Was the most intelligent dog I’ve ever had and I’m 62 and had my first at 3 years old.
I just love Roscoe in the pool. Talk about sheer joy!! His jumps are amazing and he swims around with the happiest look on his face. He makes me smile every time he jumps in!
Elle looks more and more like Luke. If I only have had the same mind set as Miss Violet. -There's NO problems, I only have to do them my way. She's like a racing staffy in the pool.
I'd like to buy two acres on your property and immediately adopt Chop, Tank and Rover. How happy we would be.

Wolfie gets SO excited when the big machine is used. At the pool, it's so nice to see Hope right in there with the other dogs. Someone needs to give Luke a new surfboard for Christmas!
The dogs love Luke so much but more importantly they respect him as Alpha. So awesome to watch. 🙋🏻♀️💜
Remember when Roscoe first hit the pool and he tried to grab all the toys at once, he’d hold up to 4 in his mouth. It’s nice seeing tank chill next to wolfie in the dirt (home sweet home)

Miss Violet is going to miss Nevaeh in the pool and playing tug of war. They really seemed to have bonded. Sad to see her leaving soon.

I love that guy Chopper and can’t believe he has not been snapped up with his brother Tank. They are such gentle and beautiful natured pups.
I am going to miss Nevaeh when she leaves the Farm. She has turned into a sweet energetic but sensitive soul. You don’t see her come to Luke for cuddles, like the Choppers, Roscoes and Chance, but she was nervous hearing thunder and came to Luke for comfort and a cuddle 😍

It's crazy to think of christmas being in the summer! It throws me off, considering I live in Pennsylvania!
Loved hearing Wolf squeal with delight when he saw his dad and the excavator (2:08) like he's saying "DAD! DAD! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! THIS IS AMAZING!" I love their bond ❤ There is a serious connection between Chopper & Luke- I mean he REALLY loves Luke! That was such a great moment!! I almost fell off my chair when both Tank & Chopper put their noses into their little holes, hoping Luke & Sam won't notice!
Sad to think of Neveah not being at the Farm anymore, I will really miss her! But hopefully her new mom can bring her for holidays!

Sam, I so enjoyed those moments you filmed of Donald as moved speedily across the paddocks, light and graceful, he is a pleasure to each. Also those times you recorded him giving and swimming were good too. I hadn't realised before how athletic and at the same time so elegant and dainty Donald is until this longer holiday.
I notice whenever ROVER interacts with Luke along comes Maggie to check in. BTW, I stink at names & appreciate the labeled collars. 💜

Good morning a lovely way to wake up. Today is a dentist appointment day and I get very nervous. So some doggies are a wonderful medicine. Thank you for sharing this with us. The family working together is wonderful too and Luke’s tiny assistant is adorable. Boy he loves those machines

You will need to show your creativity even more and name the 'cabins'. Examples: Camp Bow Wow, Good Boy Cabins, The Last Resort, Wolf's Lair, The Backyard Bunks, Huts on the Hill, Come, Sit, Stay, Christmas Cottages.
And a direction sign that says this way to the “Freeee” cabins. 😂
