Who else here doesn't own shoes like these but can't stop watching his videos? lol
Nice to see your face. I have learned a lot from you. I shine my husband's shoes.
I have just cleaned and polished every pair of my husband's shoes that I am able to. I haven't quite mastered the mirror shine yet, but I'm getting there. Now if I could only get him to wear something other than shorts...
You're just an overall good dude! Growing up, I couldn't wait for my Dad, a Navy Master Chief, to get home so I could shine his uniform shoes. He'd taught me how to mirror shine and once I got it down, I loved the challenge of taking a pair of shoes and shining them to mirror gloss. That carried into my own Army career and it sure helped through inspections! And back then, I did all my shining with Kiwi. I've only recently stepped up to Saphir products and on mid-high to high-end shoes, I'm glad I stepped up. I even shined one of my old leather knife sheaths to mirror shine when i was restoring it but ended up dulling it back...mirrored knife sheath in the woods....NOT. But back to shoes, I can see you have a confidence and pride in your craft! Thanx for sharing your talent.
I used to be a leather craftsman (belts, purses, sandals), and when dying I found I had more control if I diluted the dye four to one with alcohol. It took longer, but blended colors more smoothly.
You inspire me. Just bought Hubby his first pair of second hand full brogue Allen Edmonds for under $50 off E Bay. And I’m reviving them. I may be a 60 yo woman. But when I “grow up” I want to make over shoes and donate to those in need.
I'm retired Canadian Navy and have been spit shining my shoes and boots since 1977. To mirror shine takes an adeft touch, and a zen mind set ,knowing this you friend are a ROCK STAR.
I'm a big fan that has lots of shoes. His videos have gotten me into a small business
Nice house call Preston. I particularly love that you brought your family along. Been married since we were 16 and 15, now 40 years. I was a shoe shine boy in the early 70's and to this day I keep a shine on my dress and station boots. We're a dying breed, so Keep up the good work and continue to inspire people. God bess!
Back to back videos ! Awesome 😎
Thanks Preston for the peek inside your private life! As a family man myself it’s touching to see that u included shots of ur wife and daughter. It’s shows that ur a humble man to show us the footage of ur mistake! Most people only show the best parts of life online. U earned those tots!
You are the Bob Ross of shoes. Thanks Bud!
Preston, thanks for the tip about straightening tassels with Renovateur and rubber bands. I have three pair of thrift store rescue tassel loafers I restored, and now they have been tamed, looking even more respectable and not thrifted.
As usual....great job! You seem to really understand the value of a great presentation. I didn't know that shoes could look this good. You're inspiring many people in a great way Preston.
I generally use saddle soap, since I'm not usually looking to totally remove the finish, I don't dye shoes... yet.
You have a very calming voice. I stopped watching half way through but kept it on as I shined my boots just for the talking. Thank you!
Love this vlog style of video Preston...Awesome job as usual and you have a wonderful family
What a great demonstration of art and patience! And most importantly a beautiful family ❤
