Lipan Conjuring is the beginnings of the Ayahuasca trip ... Lost Keys is 'him' coming to in a hospital room, the constant tone you hear throughout is Justin's bass feedback meant to mimic' his' ears ringing. Rosetta Stoned is 'him' telling the story of what he just experienced, in waves of fear and panic. Incredible compositions!
@aaron_newlin I've seen them five times. This song I've seen live twice. I also have the Guitar World issue (June 2006 where Adam explains that that is natural sustain he attained without the use of a pedal or E-Bow. You may have the names mixed up. It is definitely feedback sustain from Adam's Custom Les Paul Silverburst
@@CoachThom16 I saw them twice in ‘06 and they opened both shows with Lost Keys and Rosetta. Unfortunately I didn’t appreciate them yet. Today Rosetta is my second favorite Tool song, The Grudge being #1.
Seen them 9 times, first in 98 on Lolapalooza with Korn, Prodigy, Snoop, etc...even flew out to Denver from CT to see them. Now my kids wanna see them lol
I’ve seen this live twice now and brought to tears. Especially the breakdown, and the further breakdown with the bass. Insane. Exactly like this live, except better, it’s live.
My take on it is Lipan Conjuring is the shaman guiding you into a trip, Lost Keys is it hitting, and Rosetta Stoned is now you’re balls deep in another dimension.
Viginti tres isn’t really a song per se, so adding that onto the Right in two reaction is probably a good idea. Intension “could” be done by itself but why not another three-for?
The same day this album dropped, I saw tool at the paramount theater in Seattle, and they opened the show with Rosetta stone. First live song off of 10,000 days. It was epic!
I went to the Dallas show @ SMUs McFarlin Auditorium that same week and they opened w/ lost keys/rosetta stoned as well. I’ve seen TøøL many times before an actually going to see them this Friday in Dallas ironically, but that show there was the best concert I have ever seen if any band to this day.
Seen em 2006, 10k pre-tour, small ass theater in Minneapolis, opened with "Lost Keys, Rosetta Stoned" & closed with "Vicarious" full ending vocals (lil ruff) but still...
They played songs off of 10,000 Days live before the album dropped. As teaser songs. They did the same in the months and almost a year leading up to Fear Inoculum.
@@kjpmi yeah, I think all they actually played live, dating back to 2014, was just an instrumental of "Descending" nothing like the 10k pre-tour... opened with Lost Keys Rosetta Stoned, The Pot, & Vicarious w/full ending vocals, weeks B4 the album was released.
I just tried to figure this out for myself. It came in at #9: • Ænema • Eulogy • Flood • 7empest • 46&2 • The Grudge • Vicarious • Hooker with a Penis • Rosetta Stoned • Stinkfist
Going to see them 30th May in Birmingham, England. They’re not playing in Ireland (where I’m from) so going to travel. I HOPE to the gawds they play Rosetta Stoned. Enjoy your upcoming gig 🤘🏼
Bob was/is the "deity" of the Church of the Sub-genius which was popular among counter-culture folks back in the 70's and 80's. It was mostly for a laugh - basically what would be considered a meme nowadays.
What other church would have the balls to offer "eternal salvation or triple your money back". I just pulled out my copy and inside was an Illuminatus! comic book I had entirely forgotten about. Hail the other uberBobs, Wilson and Shea!
If you want to experience another cool trip song by Maynard, check out Bullet Train to Iowa by Puscifer (the extended video version would be cool for a reaction video). Very chill, groovy song and you get to see Maynard embrace his Billy D character.
Like others have said, the themes of Inension are definitely related to Right In Two. Also, the last chord of Intension bleeds right into Right In Two (almost like they were forced to find a place to split the one song into two tracks) You could throw rhe last track on there as it is just ambient and probably not worth really reacting to on its own. Glad you enjoyed the tracks.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT! HOLY FUCKING SHIT! Great song. Thanks for making sure to listen to the others leading into it. You gotta hear the hospital interview. you GOTTA.
this one is like when you go to the boys house and have a session and you get to the point you are so high that you start talking about the nature of reality and you come up with some crazy theory, the next day its back to work and you forget what you talked about.
Here's an interview with Bill Manspeaker (Founder of Band Green Jelly where Maynard and Danny met) about the story of Rosetta stoned and how it became a song. - th-cam.com/video/K-rozy8sXUM/w-d-xo.html
Took your advanced level Tool like a champ! Lipan Conjuring was an LSD ceremony, Lost Keys is at the hospital after the LSD trip (so far out his mind he needed medical help), Rosetta Stoned is a description to the doctor of his trip/alien visit/chosen savoir assignment. 🌀🌀🌀
Check out how the time line.....first the experience.....2nd....the overload, his boys dropped him at the ER, hes still full blown tripping......third Rosetta.......distorted and chaos as he's asking "will I ever be coming down"...as each verse progresses he's "coming down" by the time he straightens out to tell you story (the final verse) he lucid and clear and it's a full blown TOOL Assault!!!! Everything they do is calculated....fucking genius
Absolutely glorious sonics and amazing lyrics! Saw them do Rosetta Stoned this past November in Milwaukee. I'm still trying to process the experience! Thank you for doing this in the correct sequence!!!!
Just saw them a week ago today in Nashvile. Seen them 7 times now, only the second time I've heard them play this live. Was hyped when i heard them start into lost keys.
Emp I have tripped on Mushrooms three times and all three times I listened to music including Tool, and let's just say I tripped bad (in a good way) when Rosetta Stone started. It was a wild ride, if you ever get to take a trip in a safe environment it's worth it at least once.
This is why Mom tells you to write things down! Intension *can* be listened to separately but it def connects to Right In Two. Keep either in mind as you listen to the other. Viginti Tres (23) is atmospheric, cosmic… there’s a connection to Lateralus in someway. All said, VT is not a great “reaction” track.
I heard that there is places that you can go for a safe trip ,a lot of high profile people go for what ever ales them an you come out a new person!..🤔😂 Awesome review & a hell of a reaction!..💯🤘👍
Fuckin TOOL, bud.

The title of Lipan Conjuring implies it is a peyote ceremony..
Adam's guitar feedback
Blame Hoffman is about LSD though.
@@Matt_in_Texas76 It's Justin's. I saw it live.

Hoffman is Albert Hoffman, the scientist who discovered LSD. 😉👍 Rosetta is their wackiest song, both lyrically and musically. Completely awesome!
I dunno, Disgustipated is pretty out there. "Let the rabbits wear glasses..." lol
@@CoachThom16 Yeah, but that’s not really a song, it’s more like their transitional tracks....😀👍
@thegoatchild3545 I hear ya. I actually have more questions about that than I do this. Seen it twice live, amazing!

Justin's bass work in the latter half of Rosetta Stoned is beyond compare, it's so damn sublime!!
My take on it is Lipan Conjuring is the shaman guiding you into a trip, Lost Keys is it hitting, and Rosetta Stoned is now you’re balls deep in another dimension.
Honestly, probably the most solid take!
Intension leads into right in two, lyrically and sonically. Play all three together for the full experience.
Viginti tres isn’t really a song per se, so adding that onto the Right in two reaction is probably a good idea.

This is one Tool song / songs that i recommend checking out lyrics for
Rosetta Stoned is in top 5 favorite tool songs. It took me a while…but damn I love this song.

I saw it 2 times from this tour and 1 from the last, that one is amazing live
@jameslivoti9507 I'm jelly. Been to 5 shows and never seen it
Going to see them Feb 12th. Can't wait! Saw them play Rosetta Stoned last October at Aftershock. Would love if they played it again!

They play it live frequently, especially so on their current tour. Love it! Nobody can say it not an original!
Rosetta is my favorite tool song eulogy is number 2
Intension is generally played right in to 'Right in Two'.

Danny goes off the rails on this one. ✌
Danny said this is one of his hardest to play. As well as the Grudge, Pneuma, and Invincible. What a a legend.
This came out 14 years ago and it will never not be an auditory mindfuck... lol

Even the "Holy Fucking Shit" was perfectly placed after the first bit knowing full well that's what the listener was going to be saying lol.
Brain melted while trying to comprehend what just happened 15:48 lol!
That was fun! Thanks. Every time hearing this is a first time.
TOOL IS LIFE ESCENCE TOOL IS SOUL ENERGY
For those who don't know, "Deadhead chemistry" was what The Greatful Dead fans called the LSD being passed around at their shows.
I just saw them on 1/19. They did this live. It was insane. Literally amazing.
Yes they play this live. Just saw them in Phoenix on 2/10/24. They did this live.
Sounds just as good live as in studio.
"Who's Bob?" 🤣🤣☠️ I AM NO GOOD♥️♥️♥️
Saw this live in October, 2 times. They hadn’t played it in 7/9 years or something like that… yes it was epic 🤘🏼🌀

probably the best reaction to these three.👍
Man, I have heard this song several times this week. I even heard it live last week in Atlanta. Best show ever especially on psychedelics.
Yes, play all three together.
This song was amazing live

Rosetta stoned? 🗣️🗣️WHAT THE FUCK IS A BEST TOOL SONG🗣️🗣️💯💯😤
I saw them perform this song live two weeks ago
I want your shirt dude!
Dude, they're touring this song right now! it's outstanding live. I was extremely lucky to be at the first show they dusted it off at
Yes. They play this live.
They play it Live indeed, at the same quality++
It’s in their current tour set list. Saw them play it in Toronto in November
Dude, there’s a video of Danny doing this song live in a clinic and it is absolutely INSANE !!!
You gotta check it out …
Overwhelmed as one would be placed in my position listening tool😅
I've seen them perform this live. The beginning is a jumbled mess live coming through Maynards megaphone.
Just was listening to Rosetta stoned has I clicked on this 😊
Nobody else does that!💯
15:20 was good, but when you said, "wicked, wicked, awesome." 19:38 to 19:48 I lost my shit man. Well done sir.
They're playing this on their tour. As we speak. You should go see it it's amazing live
Perhaps I ought to give the 2nd half of this album another try ...again. Thanks.
Bob Lazar. Worth the lookup
So them play this live a couple months ago. So insane they're unbelievable live

Toool it's cool🤯
Deadly Live. Other worldy
Dave is still floating away somewhere…..
Bob up and down.....
