  • It all started with a mystery box of fruit which lead me down the path of making a bar of #chocolate from a cocoa pod. 😮 So here's all the steps, including fermenting, drying, roasting, winnowing, crushing, grinding, conching, tempering, molding, and finally EATING my pod-to-chocolate bar. 😅 Big thanks to my boys, for always being game. 💕 New videos every Thursday and Saturday 8 pm EST.

Hello! Student of Speech-Language Pathology here. I just wanted to share something. What you're referring to (pitch modifications/"baby talk") is also called child-directed speech. According to some studies, it's actually beneficial for infants to acquire language. Speaking with full, grammatical sentences is beneficial, too :)

In the book paddington was in a toy store at a mall, but no one ever wanted to buy him bc he had a missing button, so one day he snuck out of the toy store to explore the mall. He found a store that sells comforters I believe, and he decided to take one of the buttons off of one of the comforters (after rolling around on the fluffy bed like a cutie)😭) then he got adopted. I have no idea why I remember this book in such detail because I havent read it since I was a small child, but this is the story I always knew so when I saw the paddington movies I was confused at first😭

She’s the main person that knows how to use cocoa pods in the right way far better than anyone who pretends to think they know how chocolate is made based on what they heard about it or looked up its form. I admire how she’s trying to replicate what the Olmecs used to do for the earliest civilization with the process of chocolate and transitioning from learning a proper way to ferment cocoa seeds.

If you liked this video, you may also want to know that Chocolate can get a bad rap because of all the added sugar it may contain. However, dark chocolate or raw cocoa nibs have 0-maybe 6 g of added sugar, if you’re buying 80-95% cocoa. Always check the ingredient label to see how much added sugar is present, and consider buying dark chocolate or raw cocoa nibs!

Thanks for sharing this! Chocolate sometimes gets a bad rap because chocolate products can include a lot of added sugar. Sometimes, there’s even up to 50g of added sugar in one chocolate bar! For context, the World Health Organization recommends staying under 25 g (or 6 teaspoons) of added sugar per day!

Congratulations Emmy-san! So fun and educational and inspiring! Also damn you! Lolololololol! I have nothing but some old Hershey's cocoa powder. Can't even make a cake. No ride to get any now either! Ahhhhh ugh! I'm absolutely drooling!😈😤 loved hearing those sweet little kid voices. So takes me back. Even my grandkids are WAY past that now. Growly teen voices now lol! I am still in my 50s so maybe I will get to be a Gigi soon tho. The oldest is already gone with his Brazilian gf. Wow! I bet she might enjoy this! They love sweets! I learned a bit about sous vide from Top Chef years ago. But your use and explanation really made it much clearer. Where did you get your machine? Is it very expensive? It would be ideal for me to cook some meals for us. I have trouble staying by the stove as it hurts to stand long. No one else likes to cook much here... Could you do tamales in that thing??!?? That would be so cool. BTW I think your chocolate was lovely. I like that slightly soft texture. And it was SO pretty! Well done lady! Thankyou!🍫🍫🍾🍸😘🐝

Yup. I could totally see that. Maybe after her kids are a bit more grown, thought. Doing a tv series requires way more, in so many ways, including working with all the other people involved, etc.
I personally prefer TH-camrs stay here, and keep that vlog style, real life something that very polished tv series loose, unless they work at keeping it.
A bit more freedom, a bit more interactive.
But ultimately, each person choose as it fits into their life, what works for them.
