fun fact, when overwatch 2 first released they buffed Mei and I managed to ride her from PLATINUM to MASTERS, that was after being hardstuck plat for the entirety of overwatch 1's existence.
@@hydra4370 Mei got objectively nerfed in OW2 across the board ESPECIALLY on launch. What's more likely is you were playing with the massive influx of the new players and were able to abuse the fact they didn't know what they were doing (especially if the enemy got a new tank).

Most heroes in games like OW and TF2 are close to middle range oriented and often can't do much against someone far away - that's what makes snipers so toxic and requires serious nerfs and control over their power.
people's relationship with overwatch is similar to an abusive relationship. They put a lot of effort into it and all they get is neglect and slaps in the face but they keep in that relationship because they hang on to the "good moments" and say "it's not all bad", "it's gonna change, it's gonna get better"
facts. it's always been a coping love hate relationship especially playing in the upper collegiate scene, but it's just not rewarding for your time these devs just spit right back at you and it's not fun anymore. just quit the game a month ago, and seeing the new updates coming lmao was about damn time i did after 7-8 years, hope more people realize this game has no real competitive future anymore, they cater to the casuals as a competitive fps. people saw this coming in OWL only after the first season even when it was pulling NFL numbers. gonna make one last sad music montage and call it there

Every patch they continue to lean in the Spamrat playstyle instead of actually lowering his skill floor and increasing his skill ceiling, therefore giving him more skill expression. It really sucks they obviously have no idea what to do with him.
@rizaadon Bingo, every time they patch Junkrat it just seems like they're making him less the high-skill yet easy-entry bombardier we remember, and more a playable grenade turret. It's not fun spamming grenades down range every other minute for a whole 20 minutes
Rivals does something OW refuses to do. Make melee characters. They did Rein and DF and I guess DF broke their brains cause we have not and probably will never get another melee chara again.
well they proved they can’t handle melee when they released brig, how she got through even the smallest amount of testing is baffling when she was able to 1v1 most of the roster on release
I hate how much Team 4 has lowered the skill floor over the years. I could probably pass the controller to my 3 year old brother and tell him to play Illari and he would provide more value to his team than a GM playing a projectile hero.

Widowmaker is like a broken clock. Even a bronze 5 can hit their headshots twice a day. I once went Widow on a map despite both not wanting to an being terrible at it. I hit literally...NO SHOTS the entire game except for like...maybe a few body shots on their tank. We still kept them spawn held just because they heard my gun going off. Just could not push lane at all. That was when I realized I'm not having fun "playing" this game

Used to love playing mercy. This is actually an extremely funny yet telling story - In ov1, I believe it was 2017, I cut up my hand pretty bad and was in a cast that restricted the movement of 4 of my fingers - so I was sitting on my ass during Christmas break , and I couldn’t play overwatch. Or so I thought Started playing mercy. Turned out to be a character I could play with 6 fingers. Managed to climb to t500 while in a cast. Learned that, while she was still one of the easiest supports at the time, she took more attention than I thought she did. Stopped playing her entirely when they just gave superjump as part of the kit.
the devs just dont listen thats it, they even sabotaged the 6v6 playtest by not reverting the season 9 changes and reverting all the tank changes they made in ow2 which was just like why????? they nerf everyones range so no one can challenge widow making her the only character thats able to kill things with the long ahh time to kill making every other character boring af cuz things dont die unless they get ana nade or zen orb
Over 1.5k hours of ow. I've left it completely. Didnt even return for the 6v6. I'm over blizzard failed expectations and the cash grab skins. Edit: and also the fake safe space automated ban system.
Because it's dogshit. It's taken literally every single thing good about OW1 and removed it (combo's, character depth, seasonal events/lootboxes, the ranked system, variety and uniqueness in heroes kits), and any reward for actually playing the game. Then took everything bad from OW1 and dialled it up to 11 (overpowered DLC heroes ESPECIALLY supports), then slapped an overpriced store on it, reworked a bunch of heroes to a state where they are no longer recognisable then deleted the main reason the sequel should've even existed. The only thing OW2 does better is balance patches come out faster but somehow the more consistent balance patches are worse than the months we'd wait between patches in OW1. If Marvel Rivals actually had an ounce of optimisation so you didn't need a NASA PC to maintain 60fps while simultaneously turning off certain windows security settings, OW would be done for.
Just today I reinstalled the game after 3 years to try out 6v6. I left two qp matches and got penalized. As a 2016 player with thousands of hours, I'm done.
Man I’ve been anticipating 6v6 for a long time and I haven’t played the game once since it dropped. Maybe in a week or two but right now marvel rivals just has me pulled in that game. I hear blizzard is still coping hard about 6v6 and considering not making it permanent despite all the positive feedback. They really should just make 6v6 the main mode and throw 5v5 in arcade
As a Support main, I really do think Supports are too strong. Playing the current version of 6v6 is a power trip as a halfway intelligent support player. I beat a full HP Dva while on Ana in a close quarters 1v1, then ended the game with like silver damage on my team. Do not even get me started on Kiri, I've been playing her the past couple weeks and feel like a criminal when I'm doing good. You can carry a whole lobby as a support in 6v6, its too much man
The problem with Overwatch at the moment, is that it tries so hard to get every player to have agency, that no one ends up having it. Plus, removing the sixth player removes what made the game unique in the first place, the emphasis on coordination, teamwork, and character synergies.
I think the main problem is more of that they don't know where to give agency to each role and just ended up making the agency of each role counteract each other despite that's not how they should be focusing on.
Gameplay is too based around denial now. Everything used to have an equal and opposite reaction. It used to make sense. Now sustain has taken over in this genre
I only queue in 5 stacks in the OW discord 99% of the time on that account and no one endorsees there, plus I can only get 1 from each person after like 5 games I go back to level 1
Yea team 4 puts toxic heros into their game, toxicity raises above the average toxicity in most games and than team 4 needs to find solutions to the problem like this lol I swear blizzards running simulations on the effects of authoritative actions, with how often they cause issues in the game, only to than restrict the players for their own good. Like next they're gonna just decide killing other players is to mean and remove the pvp, make overwatch just about kiris feet and mercy sleep overs in the custom games area 😆

I have been playing Overwatch again since yesterday; I'm exclusively playing 6v6 and it's the most fun I've ever had with the game {I never played OW1 :( } playing Genji and just dancing around the enemy team in the backline whenever my tanks are taking attention {now that Tanks are killable, I often jump all around them and spam right click aswell}; it's so much fun playing tank and actually being able to play the game again; also being able to stay on the same character, because counterpicking isn't as effective anymore I love 6v6 and I NEED them to bring it back; I feel like I could NEVER go back to 5v5 after the 6v6 LTM
Overwatch is suffering the same problem Fortnite once did. to make the game accessible to idiots they add broken shit to their game the level the playing field. The difference between Fortnite and overwatch is that Fortnite realized people will just stop playing their dogshit game. So to combat this they added no build for all of the people who cannot compete with the guy whos been playing for 5+ years. I think overwatch should do something similar and leave all the shitty balance in quick play so less skilled players can still enjoy the game and play whatever they want. Or just balance the game correctly, thats always an option too.
Take a shot everytime he uses the word "boring" where it feels like another word would have been more accurate, for example anoying, bullsh*t, unfair etc.
You know, I just realized that balance-wise, the downfall of OW is very similar to For Honor by Ubisoft. It was once a fascinating game with an intricate and deep combat system where every hero had a very distinct and recognizable playstyle, mechanics, and combos. But the problem was that Ubisoft really sucked at balancing it and over time, it felt like they gave up and started pumpung out boring, standardized heroes and rework all the weak heroes into the same model until everything is the same, bland, baby-friendly, super safe crap. Everyone got super dodge, tons of hyper-armor, and in general got unpunishable and passive. A game for everyone is a game for no one.
It is definitely not just devs, there are a lot of drooling macaques in the playerbase too, they wouldn't be making characters with abilities that boil down to "throw shit on the floor or general vicinity of enemy or teammate" and buffing them if there was no demand
There always are dumb, lazy players so there's always a demand for op, baby-friendly stuff in competitive games. It's a responsibility of a smart developer to not encourage this because everyone suffers from this crap: balance suffers, skilled players get frustrated and leave, bad players get bored, the game's community turns into a swamp... When you make a game balanced and skill-based, everyone wins because the gameplay is fun and exciting, and bad players can discover something refreshing for themselves and rethink their priorities. It's important to encourage new players to get better and properly reward them when they do but without toxic pressure.
I never really enjoyed Overwatch 2, but I love Marvel Rivals. Why? Because Overwatch feels like it doesn't have cool plays or characters. The skill floor feels low and the skill ceiling doesn't feel rewarding. I come from MOBAS and tactical shooters, where one insane player can ruin the entire enemy team. Overwatch doesn't have a Black Panther dashing 12 times through the entire team's backline. It doesn't have perfect ults wiping entire teams. For a so-called "hero" shooter, the power fantasy aspect is incredibly lacking.
After finally getting banned from Overwatch i can honestly say that the game just isn't fun anymore. I felt like most of the heroes aren't fun to play anymore because of the inconsistent balancing of characters. It doesn't make sense that Soldier and Genji have medium to high skill ceiling but little to no reward. Then compared Widowmaker and symmetra having low skill but high reward.
The problem i genuinely have with overwatch is the interaction with a lot of hero’s are just flat out not enjoyable it’s either a bail out or I’m instant dead or just dmg reduction. A lot of it is just boring to play against.
Been playing ow since 2016 and this video really encapsulates feelings of older players, as a low gm in OW1 to just a qp warrior in OW2 now, game really hasnt felt fun ever since the 5v5 transition. It really is just press button and insta value now. Pretty banger watch
The best part is I’ve only seen 2 players say that 6v6 sucks in the play test, and both those players were below gold ( I’ve played 15 hours of the play test)

I'm silver, had never played 6v6 until recently, tried it and liked it. I think it's important to mention that I enjoy playing tank and it's just good you now have a bro to work with, as someone who has played a lot of strategies, I like all the synergy stuff, thinking who's gonna do what etc. And what's more important, you are flamed much less in 6v6 for some reason. Probably people realize you're not a lonely scapegoat to bully in case they mess up anymore. I literally considered uninstalling for good because of all the negativity. Doesn't matter if you have a widow who is 3-10, she's just having a bad day. No, you're always the reason they lost. And then this mode came out and I feel like playing tank again.
@@CryoByte115 I didn't play ow1 and I been playing the 6v6 i main doom I've had games dropping 35 kills and some games where I cant do anything I personally enjoy 5v5 more simply off the fact I can hard carry easier i felt like i exploded way more in 6v6 if somebody isn't pulling their weight

The whole some characters need to sweat their ass off to get middling results while others barely press a button to get to great results is incredibly frustrating. It's the reason why I haven't played much for a while and like you only play with friends never solo. Marvel rivals fixed this for me it feels like with almost every hero you can put in a lot of effort and get great results for it. They have like 2 low skill ceiling heroes and they don't perform as well as the others at higher levels of play so it's fine. I've been playing a shit load of rivals and having a blast the entire time whether solo or in a group. Unless ow does some big changes with their hero design philosophy i don't think I'll ever go back to it.

I've been saying this since Moira has released... You just throw your orb around, hold left click and gain value. People loved it. Everyone clapped. Nobody said anything and I got flamed for it when I mentioned it online. People got what they deserved honestly. At this point all these heroes are so badly designed that I think we need a new game, but considering how bad they are at releasing new characters, I dont think it's worth it, Blizzard doesnt have the talent.
l was playing the 6v6 test yesterday and I had a team that just kept staggering and blatantly throwing so I left after we were getting destroyed. But the game forces you to wait 5 seconds before being able to quit. And then it banned me from matchmaking for 2 minutes. So I just closed the game, deleted it from my PS5, and turned on Marvel Rivals 😂😂
Always felt like there is way too many low skill denying abilities and even full hero kits now where everything about them is just to shut you down, youre getting punished for being proactive
I used to love playing overwatch. I loved it even more when Doomfist first came out. Literally dropped genji to learn him and had the most fun ever playing a video game. Learning all the niche things you could do just for them to completely gut him into a tank. Doomfist is not as fun anymore. Rollouts are useless now, no uppercut, slam techs got removed, emp punch sucks. How did we go from a cool interesting play style where you could do cool shit to just farming empowered punch?
I sometimes play Ana in masters and can confirm that in 5v5 she has tons of bullshit in her kit. Gets to play the game alone in Narnia, has CC that isn’t hard to hit a tank with, nade just wins a fight if there’s no kiriko. Even Awkward said Zen is the most skillful support since he’s projectile and has no CC or movement. Zen has to stand and deliver or die. He doesn’t get to “hehe sleep tank” and run away
I slowly stopped playing after ow2 came out, now a days I might play quick play 2 twice a week. I like playing hard characters like tracer genji rien monkey etc.challenge myself even though I’m only plat, but nothing ever dies it’s so boring. Today I clicked on the game and sat on the start screen and I was like I don’t want to play this and just stared doing something else, that was a week ago. I loved this game but when bring came out people slowly started quitting when ow2 came out this game died.
The games screwed when you can just switch to Orisa, Widow, or Kiriko on your respective role and deny agency just by existing. I keep trying to play and I just simply don't have fun. I WANT smoke. I want to take duels and use my mechanical SKILL and unpredictable movement to WIN. Not sit on my tank and shoot down choke for 20mins.
In fairness to brig's release, it wasn't because supports weren't good enough that she released liek she was; we'd had 2 years of dive meta that they refused to nerf and literally everyone was sick of it. Instead of nerfing the problem heroes (one being a hero you glaze lol) they released the most absurd nuclear option possible into the game. Essentially a powercreep cycle caused by damage and mitigation on certain heroes being simply too good, leading to heroes like genji being irrelevant for so long rather than nerfing them into not being must-picks at the time. And genji and tracer, imo, suck to go against just as much as a lot of the heores you've named that I completely agree with - tracer, especially is incredibly unhealthy and, let's be real, the reason we got brig.
Damn right. The game could be in a better spot, but I hate pretending like tracer deserves to be stronger. Mcrees flashbang will always be okay with me as long as it shuts her down. Genji does deserve a buff tho.

I’m confused why people always make videos talking about how broken widow is but also talk about characters like venture or sombra being broken. If widow is troubling you, pick venture or sombra and go delete her. The rest of your team should back off her angle and use cover. She becomes useless then. I really don’t get the widow pains unless at higher ranks she’s better but somehow people aren’t better at countering her? Idk maybe I’m just ignorant but there have been snipers in games for awhile and people always exploit their weakness so idk why in OW people don’t just do the same.

If widow was literally unstoppable at close range then I would agree but how else would someone deal with a sniper if not picking a character that can get close to her safely? @ now I do agree a lot of OW has gotten boring. I stopped playing myself, but I think if you’re gonna play it you gotta acknowledge everyone is broken or busted in the right setting. Especially after so many hours in the game.

18:30 Paladins has such a good version of healing pylon, TWICE. Ying creates literal heal bot clones that do the same type of beam pylon does, and are twice the hitbox as pylon, and comparatively in each game the clones have much less health. What also makes them better is that they are integral to her being able to actually heal and deal damage, as well as be her escape so if you are on it you can shut her down reliably if she has bad positioning similar to how mercy is extremely reliant on positioning to not get demolished. The other pylon healer is Grohk, which mostly relies on totems that aoe heal and can be stacked, but are about player sized, have a small aura, and half the health of a player, weak healing alone, and a long cooldown for each totem maxxing at two charges normally. Also they have a duration limit. Oh and both have a deploy range making them not able to throw them across map as well as not placeable on walls.
I think that the best designed characters are the close range dps characters like genji, reaper, tracer, venture. If they don’t know how to cycle their cooldowns they can die easily. And dying to them feels like it’s your fault for being by yourself or out of position and not watching for flanks from them. And then there are kiri and bap with bs sustain able to 1v1 these characters when they do get flanked by those characters because they have dps levels of fighting abilities as a support.
Short answer: bc of marvel rivals it’s just so fun Who likes fighting raid boss tanks and super supports do you think that’s fun it isn’t fun that’s boring as shit tanks can’t die so as supports we need the old format back and everything making supports and tanks unkillable isn’t the right thing at all And at this point blizzard will either just pay pros or just let shills sponsor or try to cope in order to make the game look good even if it sucks ass right now
Hot take, the rot began with Ana, even though she isn’t bad in herself. She opened the door to incessant tank shutdown. Her redeeming feature is that there have been far worse characters throughout her existence, so she’s never been even close to the worst, so she’s never been seen as “the problem”, but she is the template that led the devs down bad path after bad path. They think “People love Ana so…” That thinking has given us bad new character after bad new character. I agree with almost everything Greed says about the current issues and where those issues are headed. There are now so many bad character designs now that it’s basically an overwhelming mass of problems. Also, they devs have always believed that “no aim” characters were needed to bring in a certain class of casual players. Maybe there’s some truth in that, but those characters should be able to swap mode and be power capped at a low level when in no-aim mode. Basically, make them two characters: e.g. Easy Moira is no-aim, and Hard Moira has a damage beam, healing beam, and orbs have to be thrown like Bap grenades (or whatever it takes to make her more skillfull). It’s Blizzard though, so if they actually did that, they’d make the easy one the most powerful.
I agree mostly with this video except for the comment of 'this game shouldn't be balanced for the majority'...what? So the game should be balanced for the diehard 1% that forgot that the idea of videogames are to have fun? Isn't that the exact reason Overwatch is going down the toilet? Blizzard forgot the casual audience and so they left to play other fun games.
@@GREED_EU Because it does. Not everybody has the patience to sit down for hours learning how to do perfect skill rotations, map pathing, highly complex tech, and pin-point aiming and tracking. When the game is balanced around the assumption that everybody is commiting little to no mistakes, the average power a character has needs to be levelled off, because even small number tweaks can have massive balance implications. Soldier 76 dealing an extra 3 damage per bullet means nothing to a casual player who's only hitting half of his shots, but it will mean a lot to a highly skilled player who's hitting 90% of them.

@@GREED_EU Either you give low-investment players powerful tools they can use to contribute to the game, or you make mechanical skill the ultimate determining factor in every engagement. Trying to go mid-way is what Blizzard tried to do and as we can all see it ended catasthrophically.
TF2 competitive is better in every single way. Honestly the fact that 6s is more varied and creative than overwatch and they’ve literally had the same team comp since like 2009 is insane.
Personally I'm done giving them chances, man even after moving to Marvel Rivals I still wanted to give Overwatch one last chance and see how the 6v6 mode was, but they didn't even removed the season 9 changes, they failed us over and over again even when we stuck with them for so long, they don't deserve our attention anymore.
Topic idea: Why Widow works in Marvel Rivals (much faster, way more counters, can't hog or camp one small area and needs to be dove by 4 ppl to then grapple out) vs OW
Gave her two batons and not a smg is absolutely part of the reason too. Window in OW has technically no range weakness if she lands a body shot and a few smg rounds while in Rivals you either have to land sniper shots or get into melee range which, in both cases, gives her a notable weakness range. The baton addition is genius
And even with the upcoming buffs to her run ability to recharge faster and her knock-back getting a range increase, that’s all Black Widow has, a run/ high jump button and a very weak knock-back ability compared to the other mobility based heroes in Rivals, BW may be “weak” to a lot of players as she can’t one shot nor have crazy getaway tools in her kit but it having her this way makes the game a lot more enjoyable.

It's funny how in rivals you just dominate lobbies on your own with hela if you're the best dps in your lobby, on cree you need 24/7 mercy dmg boost and a tank that creates space and be 3 ranks above their dps to carry the game. If you play against owl players and they don't have a decent support, they're not scary at all. For example a tracer who's owl and leagues above you? No problem, just play torb and you'll shut her down.
@@Torbintime and a hela will almost always win the fight since they need to be sedated or frozen. Yes their ults are ridiculous but so is helas ult, along with the team up effect she has. She needs a bigger nerf than the supports do
@@Torbintime Compare to Zen's ult, both Mantis and Luna can actually die during their ults and it doesn't even need to be a one shot ult. Hela is the only one with too much of an easy value tbh...I wish that her stun isn't as good as is and that if you are killed off the ult, you died so she doesn't gain too much free value.
@@lunadead To be fair luna and mantis ults do need a tweak, but hela is just that broken that she can kill even during those ults if she has line of sight. And hela shreds anything in the game except maybe a really good black panther/spiderman. Idk why he thinks the supps are more busted than the most picked character right now which usually has the best stats.
A major problem some characters have is that one part of their kit is overpowered while everything else is dogshit. however, nerfing that part would make said character useless, and yet blizzard wont buff the other parts of the kit. off the top of my head, widow, bastion and sojourn all suffer from this issue and have been since ow2's release (widow for far longer). they keep on buffing irrelevant parts and never address the core part
I played OW1 at launch and dropped it a bit after they changed Mercy's ult. I remember a good McCree hard countered Pharah unless she played extremely safe. As someone who mostly played support, I loved having one around to help protect me from dives. It's sad to hear they slashed his range so badly

Blizzard has fully lost the script when it came to making a good quality game since Ow2 came out. Even-though Ow1 was abandoned for 2 years, there were some changes that were pretty good and great QOL. However, since the introduction of 5v5, the newer tanks can do everything, have very little glaring weaknesses, can do more than anything else on the roster, and feel way more impactful. The New DPS heroes have insane kits that can triumph any lobby if the cheetofinger player has half-decent mechanical skill. And the Healers are still busted beyond belief. Zen's kick full counters any dive onto the high ground, there's no risk kiriko, bap, zen, and especially Mercy have had their 'counters' gutted, and their kits boosted. Burst healing is over the top, and nothing dies unless 3 people focus fire onto 1 person. NGL, it honestly feels like double shield every game, just instead of shields its healing. Then the second 1 person goes down, its a GG for that fight. Blizzard really gutted the feeling of everyone having impact, and it shows. Especially the 'day 1' 6v6 event they did. I felt as winston I could actually KILL SOMEONE who was out of position, hold space, and not just be a placeholder for space until I poke someone low enough, exhausted every CD, and can dive without the other 4 characters having 8 knockbacks to guarantee a single kill. Honestly, Mauga, JQ, and hazard were made for 5v5 as it feels like I can actually kill something with those heroes, and hold space. Its obnoxious. also "Soft cc" from bliz is bullshit. Nearly every character has a knockback now to force space. Its so annoying as a tank when you're trying to push and you get booped by every fucking character on the enemy team before you can even go in. Its gotten really out of control.
Not to argue, but chech out Rivals. Each single character from a 33 hero roster has free abilities and barely requires skill to play. Im not sure the majority of players wanna enter the high octane, robotic, no errors allowed games. Ppl wanna feel like they're doing something with hreoes they like.

But give me a break, Genji is not even slightly as skilled as he once used to be. Larger health pools, dash reset, larger hitbox, deflect cancel, like what...? That's 4 giga buffs to the hero. People are stuck in the past where Genji was the hardest hero to play for a short period, that's not the case today.
His shurikens are still one of the smallest and slowest projectiles in the game. His damage was nerfed to 27 and the healthpools were buffed to 250, which made him easier to kill but WAY harder to kill things with, his blade was nerfed, and half the heroes in the game just completely ignore deflect. Genii is horrible bro
It isn’t just game balance, there are way too many forms of currency. I hate watching all of my hard earned comp coins become legacy coins and make it basically impossible to buy the comp skins I want. I want to buy gold why can’t I buy gold with regular comp coins why do I have to wait a year to get it. Why do my hard earned coins become unusable after a year when i can’t earn enough a year to get a gold weapon skin .

I don’t have any want to play tank in ow2. Even in 6v6 tank gameplay is flawed due to the sheer kill potential EVERY tank has. In rivals tanks have less overlap with dps and i really enjoy that
Overwatches biggest issue compared to its contemporaries can be boiled down to something like pharah vs soldier from tf2. in tf2 you sacrifice health and a quarter of your clip to get a very brief mobility boost that requires practice and skill to pull off consistently, in overwatch you press shift and hold space, nothin else. That is the epitome of overwatches issue, tying mechanics that should be skill based to button presses means for 99% of heroes the skill cap is dependent on aim alone which is a HORRIBLE way to do a class shooter. But overwatch was designed from the ground up to appeal to as many as possible so they balance around the lowest common denominator. Moreover they actively sacrifice comp balance for skin sales, widow mythic being the most egregious example. "No sombra needed nerfed into the dirt right as we made this mythic we've been working on for years." Also yeah supports are basically just dps now cause they weren't content in their place and wanted more impact, illiari being the worst example cause shes just a dps with a healing turret

I actually thought the life grip could do with swapping the lifeweaver with the hero he's pulling as opposed to just pulling him towards him. This at least gives it some risk with the use of his cooldowns. I think overwatch's main problem is that there are no active decisions being made with a lot of the cooldowns: sigma ult? suzu; grav? fortify; orisa ult? petal. These are not decisions being made, they are just simple 'if this, then that' relations, which does not make anyone good at the game. What makes, say, a Genji player very good at the game is that everything they do requires making a decision based on pros and cons, and that's what makes you able to improve on a hero, being able to make those choices correctly and fast.
I literally only played overwatch this last month to get the free skins. I'm not allowed to play that characters I want to play so there is no reason I should bother playing this game.
remove mag nade with a lasso with a kinda short range that tethers the target to him at the range it hit them at, and restricts fan the hammer and maybe switches roll to a slow reel in. sounds really fun to me and prevents the mag for deleting squishies but useless on tanks, or BS flash, and movement abilities could still work just be restrained in usable area.
Reason i dont enjoy the game is because i feel like im suffocated because of the support team in constantly getting reported for stuff i just dont do and get banned or com banned so im forced to play on a alt account and nobody prefers there alt over main account 🤷♀️
One thing I hate about OW2 is buffing characters that no one ask like Orisa and Mauga, they're one of the most annoying tank to play with or against as a support (probably for tanks too cus they have to swap to mirror). Devs be like "We heard this character is under performance" and then buff them to oblivion. As support main and I LOVE Zen, but him being the opposite team where your team don't know to use corners or walls to cut off LOS of his discord orb but instead standing in broad daylight so he can charge all right click into you..tho his kick is funny imo 😂 Also me and my friends were queueing in QP and it took like 3~5 mins to get in and one of them goes "This taking too long let's go Marvel Rivals" and it was my first time playing MR, damn i was hooked! But i wish they optimise cus it can be laggy asf
Overwatch 2 has been the only game I've ever played that makes me feel sick, something with the floaty motion I get motion sickness from, Overwatch 1 never used to do that and nor does Rivals or any other.

They gotta add 6v6 back and nerf supports. Im sorry theres no reason for kiriko to be able to give you I-frames and do so much dmg as a support. Also i miss the old overwatch things like the cards at the end and the other little cool stuff they did. And like doomfists rework wasn’t really needed and they removed pretty much his whole combo potential by removing uppercut, they could at least made it so if you charge his fist the block becomes uppercut for 1 use because the power block is useless when you already charged his fist. There trying to make the game easier and market it for everyone but there just ruining the game.

5:34 if venture got shields for landing their abilities they would be way better you would just be at 325 permanently, it would actually be a buff if blizz made it so abilities granted shields on dmg instead. was rank 1 venture season 11 in gm with an 82% winrate so i know venture pretty well i would say.
That’s why I like playing magik so much on marvel rivals due to her getting the shields when she hits her attacks and the shields stay long enough for me to get some on the tanks and dive the back line if I manage my cooldowns well

Imagine being a Sombra main while you can't go invis, you're locked out of the game for 5 seconds after you become invis, hack lasts a nano second, and while 6v6 is implemented and you still have a nano second of hacked time with free immortalities/cleanses at no risk from babyproof auto-aim healers who have 500 hp and can easily output more damage than Sombra. I rarely play anymore even when friends ask me to.
That's why i quit overwatch as well. Some characters just get taken care of while others like genji are ignored. D.va can wipe a whole team while genji announces his ult and might not even kill.
The best way to fix OW2 imo is just buff everyone's damage and let people kill each other. I can't stand that that a fight can go on for 5 minutes with no deaths. Too much effort and depending on the hero choice not much reward.

Most heroes in games like OW and TF2 are close to middle range oriented and often can't do much against someone far away - that's what makes snipers so toxic and requires serious nerfs and control over their power.
people's relationship with overwatch is similar to an abusive relationship. They put a lot of effort into it and all they get is neglect and slaps in the face but they keep in that relationship because they hang on to the "good moments" and say "it's not all bad", "it's gonna change, it's gonna get better"

Widowmaker is like a broken clock. Even a bronze 5 can hit their headshots twice a day. I once went Widow on a map despite both not wanting to an being terrible at it. I hit literally...NO SHOTS the entire game except for like...maybe a few body shots on their tank. We still kept them spawn held just because they heard my gun going off. Just could not push lane at all. That was when I realized I'm not having fun "playing" this game

In ov1, I believe it was 2017, I cut up my hand pretty bad and was in a cast that restricted the movement of 4 of my fingers - so I was sitting on my ass during Christmas break , and I couldn’t play overwatch. Or so I thought
Started playing mercy. Turned out to be a character I could play with 6 fingers. Managed to climb to t500 while in a cast. Learned that, while she was still one of the easiest supports at the time, she took more attention than I thought she did.
Stopped playing her entirely when they just gave superjump as part of the kit.

Over 1.5k hours of ow. I've left it completely. Didnt even return for the 6v6. I'm over blizzard failed expectations and the cash grab skins. Edit: and also the fake safe space automated ban system.
Because it's dogshit. It's taken literally every single thing good about OW1 and removed it (combo's, character depth, seasonal events/lootboxes, the ranked system, variety and uniqueness in heroes kits), and any reward for actually playing the game. Then took everything bad from OW1 and dialled it up to 11 (overpowered DLC heroes ESPECIALLY supports), then slapped an overpriced store on it, reworked a bunch of heroes to a state where they are no longer recognisable then deleted the main reason the sequel should've even existed.
The only thing OW2 does better is balance patches come out faster but somehow the more consistent balance patches are worse than the months we'd wait between patches in OW1.
If Marvel Rivals actually had an ounce of optimisation so you didn't need a NASA PC to maintain 60fps while simultaneously turning off certain windows security settings, OW would be done for.

As a Support main, I really do think Supports are too strong. Playing the current version of 6v6 is a power trip as a halfway intelligent support player. I beat a full HP Dva while on Ana in a close quarters 1v1, then ended the game with like silver damage on my team. Do not even get me started on Kiri, I've been playing her the past couple weeks and feel like a criminal when I'm doing good. You can carry a whole lobby as a support in 6v6, its too much man
The problem with Overwatch at the moment, is that it tries so hard to get every player to have agency, that no one ends up having it. Plus, removing the sixth player removes what made the game unique in the first place, the emphasis on coordination, teamwork, and character synergies.
I think the main problem is more of that they don't know where to give agency to each role and just ended up making the agency of each role counteract each other despite that's not how they should be focusing on.
Gameplay is too based around denial now. Everything used to have an equal and opposite reaction. It used to make sense. Now sustain has taken over in this genre

I have been playing Overwatch again since yesterday; I'm exclusively playing 6v6 and it's the most fun I've ever had with the game {I never played OW1 :( }
playing Genji and just dancing around the enemy team in the backline whenever my tanks are taking attention {now that Tanks are killable, I often jump all around them and spam right click aswell}; it's so much fun
playing tank and actually being able to play the game again; also being able to stay on the same character, because counterpicking isn't as effective anymore

Overwatch is suffering the same problem Fortnite once did. to make the game accessible to idiots they add broken shit to their game the level the playing field. The difference between Fortnite and overwatch is that Fortnite realized people will just stop playing their dogshit game. So to combat this they added no build for all of the people who cannot compete with the guy whos been playing for 5+ years. I think overwatch should do something similar and leave all the shitty balance in quick play so less skilled players can still enjoy the game and play whatever they want. Or just balance the game correctly, thats always an option too.
Take a shot everytime he uses the word "boring" where it feels like another word would have been more accurate, for example anoying, bullsh*t, unfair etc.
You know, I just realized that balance-wise, the downfall of OW is very similar to For Honor by Ubisoft.
It was once a fascinating game with an intricate and deep combat system where every hero had a very distinct and recognizable playstyle, mechanics, and combos.
But the problem was that Ubisoft really sucked at balancing it and over time, it felt like they gave up and started pumpung out boring, standardized heroes and rework all the weak heroes into the same model until everything is the same, bland, baby-friendly, super safe crap. Everyone got super dodge, tons of hyper-armor, and in general got unpunishable and passive.
A game for everyone is a game for no one.
It is definitely not just devs, there are a lot of drooling macaques in the playerbase too, they wouldn't be making characters with abilities that boil down to "throw shit on the floor or general vicinity of enemy or teammate" and buffing them if there was no demand
There always are dumb, lazy players so there's always a demand for op, baby-friendly stuff in competitive games.
It's a responsibility of a smart developer to not encourage this because everyone suffers from this crap: balance suffers, skilled players get frustrated and leave, bad players get bored, the game's community turns into a swamp...
When you make a game balanced and skill-based, everyone wins because the gameplay is fun and exciting, and bad players can discover something refreshing for themselves and rethink their priorities.
It's important to encourage new players to get better and properly reward them when they do but without toxic pressure.
As a Brig main, I know how to use her fully but there is only so much you can do with a team wearing helmets
The widowmaker problem is why Overwatch is not just a FPS, similar to how the GOATs Meta highlights that Overwatch is not just a MOBA.
I never really enjoyed Overwatch 2, but I love Marvel Rivals. Why? Because Overwatch feels like it doesn't have cool plays or characters. The skill floor feels low and the skill ceiling doesn't feel rewarding.
I come from MOBAS and tactical shooters, where one insane player can ruin the entire enemy team. Overwatch doesn't have a Black Panther dashing 12 times through the entire team's backline. It doesn't have perfect ults wiping entire teams. For a so-called "hero" shooter, the power fantasy aspect is incredibly lacking.

After finally getting banned from Overwatch i can honestly say that the game just isn't fun anymore.
I felt like most of the heroes aren't fun to play anymore because of the inconsistent balancing of characters.

The problem i genuinely have with overwatch is the interaction with a lot of hero’s are just flat out not enjoyable it’s either a bail out or I’m instant dead or just dmg reduction. A lot of it is just boring to play against.

Been playing ow since 2016 and this video really encapsulates feelings of older players, as a low gm in OW1 to just a qp warrior in OW2 now, game really hasnt felt fun ever since the 5v5 transition. It really is just press button and insta value now. Pretty banger watch

I'm silver, had never played 6v6 until recently, tried it and liked it. I think it's important to mention that I enjoy playing tank and it's just good you now have a bro to work with, as someone who has played a lot of strategies, I like all the synergy stuff, thinking who's gonna do what etc. And what's more important, you are flamed much less in 6v6 for some reason. Probably people realize you're not a lonely scapegoat to bully in case they mess up anymore.
I literally considered uninstalling for good because of all the negativity. Doesn't matter if you have a widow who is 3-10, she's just having a bad day. No, you're always the reason they lost. And then this mode came out and I feel like playing tank again.
@@CryoByte115 I didn't play ow1 and I been playing the 6v6 i main doom I've had games dropping 35 kills and some games where I cant do anything I personally enjoy 5v5 more simply off the fact I can hard carry easier i felt like i exploded way more in 6v6 if somebody isn't pulling their weight

The whole some characters need to sweat their ass off to get middling results while others barely press a button to get to great results is incredibly frustrating. It's the reason why I haven't played much for a while and like you only play with friends never solo.
Marvel rivals fixed this for me it feels like with almost every hero you can put in a lot of effort and get great results for it. They have like 2 low skill ceiling heroes and they don't perform as well as the others at higher levels of play so it's fine. I've been playing a shit load of rivals and having a blast the entire time whether solo or in a group.
Unless ow does some big changes with their hero design philosophy i don't think I'll ever go back to it.

Nobody said anything and I got flamed for it when I mentioned it online. People got what they deserved honestly. At this point all these heroes are so badly designed that I think we need a new game, but considering how bad they are at releasing new characters, I dont think it's worth it, Blizzard doesnt have the talent.
l was playing the 6v6 test yesterday and I had a team that just kept staggering and blatantly throwing so I left after we were getting destroyed. But the game forces you to wait 5 seconds before being able to quit. And then it banned me from matchmaking for 2 minutes. So I just closed the game, deleted it from my PS5, and turned on Marvel Rivals 😂😂
Yeah happened for me too. The fact that it happens in a quick play mode is insane. Marvel rivals could not have come out in a better time
Always felt like there is way too many low skill denying abilities and even full hero kits now where everything about them is just to shut you down, youre getting punished for being proactive
I used to love playing overwatch. I loved it even more when Doomfist first came out. Literally dropped genji to learn him and had the most fun ever playing a video game. Learning all the niche things you could do just for them to completely gut him into a tank. Doomfist is not as fun anymore. Rollouts are useless now, no uppercut, slam techs got removed, emp punch sucks. How did we go from a cool interesting play style where you could do cool shit to just farming empowered punch?
I sometimes play Ana in masters and can confirm that in 5v5 she has tons of bullshit in her kit. Gets to play the game alone in Narnia, has CC that isn’t hard to hit a tank with, nade just wins a fight if there’s no kiriko.
Even Awkward said Zen is the most skillful support since he’s projectile and has no CC or movement. Zen has to stand and deliver or die. He doesn’t get to “hehe sleep tank” and run away
I slowly stopped playing after ow2 came out, now a days I might play quick play 2 twice a week. I like playing hard characters like tracer genji rien monkey etc.challenge myself even though I’m only plat, but nothing ever dies it’s so boring. Today I clicked on the game and sat on the start screen and I was like I don’t want to play this and just stared doing something else, that was a week ago. I loved this game but when bring came out people slowly started quitting when ow2 came out this game died.
The games screwed when you can just switch to Orisa, Widow, or Kiriko on your respective role and deny agency just by existing.
I keep trying to play and I just simply don't have fun. I WANT smoke. I want to take duels and use my mechanical SKILL and unpredictable movement to WIN. Not sit on my tank and shoot down choke for 20mins.
In fairness to brig's release, it wasn't because supports weren't good enough that she released liek she was; we'd had 2 years of dive meta that they refused to nerf and literally everyone was sick of it. Instead of nerfing the problem heroes (one being a hero you glaze lol) they released the most absurd nuclear option possible into the game. Essentially a powercreep cycle caused by damage and mitigation on certain heroes being simply too good, leading to heroes like genji being irrelevant for so long rather than nerfing them into not being must-picks at the time.
And genji and tracer, imo, suck to go against just as much as a lot of the heores you've named that I completely agree with - tracer, especially is incredibly unhealthy and, let's be real, the reason we got brig.
Damn right. The game could be in a better spot, but I hate pretending like tracer deserves to be stronger. Mcrees flashbang will always be okay with me as long as it shuts her down. Genji does deserve a buff tho.

I’m confused why people always make videos talking about how broken widow is but also talk about characters like venture or sombra being broken. If widow is troubling you, pick venture or sombra and go delete her. The rest of your team should back off her angle and use cover. She becomes useless then. I really don’t get the widow pains unless at higher ranks she’s better but somehow people aren’t better at countering her? Idk maybe I’m just ignorant but there have been snipers in games for awhile and people always exploit their weakness so idk why in OW people don’t just do the same.

18:30 Paladins has such a good version of healing pylon, TWICE.
Ying creates literal heal bot clones that do the same type of beam pylon does, and are twice the hitbox as pylon, and comparatively in each game the clones have much less health. What also makes them better is that they are integral to her being able to actually heal and deal damage, as well as be her escape so if you are on it you can shut her down reliably if she has bad positioning similar to how mercy is extremely reliant on positioning to not get demolished.
The other pylon healer is Grohk, which mostly relies on totems that aoe heal and can be stacked, but are about player sized, have a small aura, and half the health of a player, weak healing alone, and a long cooldown for each totem maxxing at two charges normally. Also they have a duration limit.
Oh and both have a deploy range making them not able to throw them across map as well as not placeable on walls.
I think that the best designed characters are the close range dps characters like genji, reaper, tracer, venture. If they don’t know how to cycle their cooldowns they can die easily. And dying to them feels like it’s your fault for being by yourself or out of position and not watching for flanks from them. And then there are kiri and bap with bs sustain able to 1v1 these characters when they do get flanked by those characters because they have dps levels of fighting abilities as a support.

Hot take, the rot began with Ana, even though she isn’t bad in herself. She opened the door to incessant tank shutdown. Her redeeming feature is that there have been far worse characters throughout her existence, so she’s never been even close to the worst, so she’s never been seen as “the problem”, but she is the template that led the devs down bad path after bad path. They think “People love Ana so…” That thinking has given us bad new character after bad new character. I agree with almost everything Greed says about the current issues and where those issues are headed. There are now so many bad character designs now that it’s basically an overwhelming mass of problems. Also, they devs have always believed that “no aim” characters were needed to bring in a certain class of casual players. Maybe there’s some truth in that, but those characters should be able to swap mode and be power capped at a low level when in no-aim mode. Basically, make them two characters: e.g. Easy Moira is no-aim, and Hard Moira has a damage beam, healing beam, and orbs have to be thrown like Bap grenades (or whatever it takes to make her more skillfull). It’s Blizzard though, so if they actually did that, they’d make the easy one the most powerful.

So the game should be balanced for the diehard 1% that forgot that the idea of videogames are to have fun? Isn't that the exact reason Overwatch is going down the toilet? @@GREED_EU Because it does. Not everybody has the patience to sit down for hours learning how to do perfect skill rotations, map pathing, highly complex tech, and pin-point aiming and tracking. When the game is balanced around the assumption that everybody is commiting little to no mistakes, the average power a character has needs to be levelled off, because even small number tweaks can have massive balance implications. Soldier 76 dealing an extra 3 damage per bullet means nothing to a casual player who's only hitting half of his shots, but it will mean a lot to a highly skilled player who's hitting 90% of them.

TF2 competitive is better in every single way. Honestly the fact that 6s is more varied and creative than overwatch and they’ve literally had the same team comp since like 2009 is insane.
Personally I'm done giving them chances, man even after moving to Marvel Rivals I still wanted to give Overwatch one last chance and see how the 6v6 mode was, but they didn't even removed the season 9 changes, they failed us over and over again even when we stuck with them for so long, they don't deserve our attention anymore.
Topic idea: Why Widow works in Marvel Rivals (much faster, way more counters, can't hog or camp one small area and needs to be dove by 4 ppl to then grapple out) vs OW
Gave her two batons and not a smg is absolutely part of the reason too. Window in OW has technically no range weakness if she lands a body shot and a few smg rounds while in Rivals you either have to land sniper shots or get into melee range which, in both cases, gives her a notable weakness range. The baton addition is genius
And even with the upcoming buffs to her run ability to recharge faster and her knock-back getting a range increase, that’s all Black Widow has, a run/ high jump button and a very weak knock-back ability compared to the other mobility based heroes in Rivals, BW may be “weak” to a lot of players as she can’t one shot nor have crazy getaway tools in her kit but it having her this way makes the game a lot more enjoyable.

It's funny how in rivals you just dominate lobbies on your own with hela if you're the best dps in your lobby, on cree you need 24/7 mercy dmg boost and a tank that creates space and be 3 ranks above their dps to carry the game. If you play against owl players and they don't have a decent support, they're not scary at all. For example a tracer who's owl and leagues above you? No problem, just play torb and you'll shut her down.
Lets not act like hela isnt ridiculously broken and the strongest character objectively in the game by far

Hela is the only one with too much of an easy value tbh...I wish that her stun isn't as good as is and that if you are killed off the ult, you died so she doesn't gain too much free value.

A major problem some characters have is that one part of their kit is overpowered while everything else is dogshit. however, nerfing that part would make said character useless, and yet blizzard wont buff the other parts of the kit. off the top of my head, widow, bastion and sojourn all suffer from this issue and have been since ow2's release (widow for far longer). they keep on buffing irrelevant parts and never address the core part
I played OW1 at launch and dropped it a bit after they changed Mercy's ult. I remember a good McCree hard countered Pharah unless she played extremely safe. As someone who mostly played support, I loved having one around to help protect me from dives. It's sad to hear they slashed his range so badly

Blizzard has fully lost the script when it came to making a good quality game since Ow2 came out. Even-though Ow1 was abandoned for 2 years, there were some changes that were pretty good and great QOL. However, since the introduction of 5v5, the newer tanks can do everything, have very little glaring weaknesses, can do more than anything else on the roster, and feel way more impactful. The New DPS heroes have insane kits that can triumph any lobby if the cheetofinger player has half-decent mechanical skill. And the Healers are still busted beyond belief. Zen's kick full counters any dive onto the high ground, there's no risk kiriko, bap, zen, and especially Mercy have had their 'counters' gutted, and their kits boosted. Burst healing is over the top, and nothing dies unless 3 people focus fire onto 1 person. NGL, it honestly feels like double shield every game, just instead of shields its healing. Then the second 1 person goes down, its a GG for that fight.
Blizzard really gutted the feeling of everyone having impact, and it shows. Especially the 'day 1' 6v6 event they did. I felt as winston I could actually KILL SOMEONE who was out of position, hold space, and not just be a placeholder for space until I poke someone low enough, exhausted every CD, and can dive without the other 4 characters having 8 knockbacks to guarantee a single kill.
Honestly, Mauga, JQ, and hazard were made for 5v5 as it feels like I can actually kill something with those heroes, and hold space. Its obnoxious. also "Soft cc" from bliz is bullshit. Nearly every character has a knockback now to force space. Its so annoying as a tank when you're trying to push and you get booped by every fucking character on the enemy team before you can even go in. Its gotten really out of control.
Not to argue, but chech out Rivals. Each single character from a 33 hero roster has free abilities and barely requires skill to play. Im not sure the majority of players wanna enter the high octane, robotic, no errors allowed games. Ppl wanna feel like they're doing something with hreoes they like.

But give me a break, Genji is not even slightly as skilled as he once used to be. Larger health pools, dash reset, larger hitbox, deflect cancel, like what...? That's 4 giga buffs to the hero. People are stuck in the past where Genji was the hardest hero to play for a short period, that's not the case today.
His shurikens are still one of the smallest and slowest projectiles in the game. His damage was nerfed to 27 and the healthpools were buffed to 250, which made him easier to kill but WAY harder to kill things with, his blade was nerfed, and half the heroes in the game just completely ignore deflect. Genii is horrible bro

I hate watching all of my hard earned comp coins become legacy coins and make it basically impossible to buy the comp skins I want. I want to buy gold why can’t I buy gold with regular comp coins why do I have to wait a year to get it. Why do my hard earned coins become unusable after a year when i can’t earn enough a year to get a gold weapon skin .

It's been like this for years. Imo it's also because a lot of people simply stopped playing competitive and play quick play instead.
Overwatches biggest issue compared to its contemporaries can be boiled down to something like pharah vs soldier from tf2. in tf2 you sacrifice health and a quarter of your clip to get a very brief mobility boost that requires practice and skill to pull off consistently, in overwatch you press shift and hold space, nothin else. That is the epitome of overwatches issue, tying mechanics that should be skill based to button presses means for 99% of heroes the skill cap is dependent on aim alone which is a HORRIBLE way to do a class shooter. But overwatch was designed from the ground up to appeal to as many as possible so they balance around the lowest common denominator. Moreover they actively sacrifice comp balance for skin sales, widow mythic being the most egregious example. "No sombra needed nerfed into the dirt right as we made this mythic we've been working on for years." Also yeah supports are basically just dps now cause they weren't content in their place and wanted more impact, illiari being the worst example cause shes just a dps with a healing turret
I mean Bilzzard's mishandled OW for years now and with new games coming out filling a similar type of gameplay, of course, people will be leaving the game on mass. Still, it was at least a fun ride for me since I got to play 6v6s D.va again before it died. I actually thought the life grip could do with swapping the lifeweaver with the hero he's pulling as opposed to just pulling him towards him. This at least gives it some risk with the use of his cooldowns. I think overwatch's main problem is that there are no active decisions being made with a lot of the cooldowns: sigma ult? suzu; grav? fortify; orisa ult? petal. These are not decisions being made, they are just simple 'if this, then that' relations, which does not make anyone good at the game. What makes, say, a Genji player very good at the game is that everything they do requires making a decision based on pros and cons, and that's what makes you able to improve on a hero, being able to make those choices correctly and fast.
I literally only played overwatch this last month to get the free skins. I'm not allowed to play that characters I want to play so there is no reason I should bother playing this game.
remove mag nade with a lasso with a kinda short range that tethers the target to him at the range it hit them at, and restricts fan the hammer and maybe switches roll to a slow reel in. sounds really fun to me and prevents the mag for deleting squishies but useless on tanks, or BS flash, and movement abilities could still work just be restrained in usable area.
Reason i dont enjoy the game is because i feel like im suffocated because of the support team in constantly getting reported for stuff i just dont do and get banned or com banned so im forced to play on a alt account and nobody prefers there alt over main account 🤷♀️

One thing I hate about OW2 is buffing characters that no one ask like Orisa and Mauga, they're one of the most annoying tank to play with or against as a support (probably for tanks too cus they have to swap to mirror). Devs be like "We heard this character is under performance" and then buff them to oblivion. As support main and I LOVE Zen, but him being the opposite team where your team don't know to use corners or walls to cut off LOS of his discord orb but instead standing in broad daylight so he can charge all right click into you..tho his kick is funny imo 😂

Overwatch 2 has been the only game I've ever played that makes me feel sick, something with the floaty motion I get motion sickness from, Overwatch 1 never used to do that and nor does Rivals or any other.

My point is we may be leaving Overwatch, but I dont think the reasons your pointing out are why the majority of player base is leaving. You point out that the game shouldn’t be balanced for gold players. I agree. Guess what? All those low elo left because they love the free value they get from the rivals. It dumb stupid fun. We patronize Overwatch because it created a standard. These players didn’t evaporate out of thin air because they were tired of widow. We’ve been tired of her lol. People don’t want to feel powerful because they hit a sick dash cancel,double jump, 360 blade ninja move. They vast majority of players say to say “AGAIN” with Winter Soldier and think they’re god at video games

They gotta add 6v6 back and nerf supports. Im sorry theres no reason for kiriko to be able to give you I-frames and do so much dmg as a support. Also i miss the old overwatch things like the cards at the end and the other little cool stuff they did. And like doomfists rework wasn’t really needed and they removed pretty much his whole combo potential by removing uppercut, they could at least made it so if you charge his fist the block becomes uppercut for 1 use because the power block is useless when you already charged his fist. There trying to make the game easier and market it for everyone but there just ruining the game.
Whether you want to admit it or not, its okay not to make it blow up, its understandable, venture was its downfall period. People can cry all they want defend the character. Venture.
5:34 if venture got shields for landing their abilities they would be way better you would just be at 325 permanently, it would actually be a buff if blizz made it so abilities granted shields on dmg instead. was rank 1 venture season 11 in gm with an 82% winrate so i know venture pretty well i would say.
That’s why I like playing magik so much on marvel rivals due to her getting the shields when she hits her attacks and the shields stay long enough for me to get some on the tanks and dive the back line if I manage my cooldowns well
Same with me. Imagine being a Sombra main while you can't go invis, you're locked out of the game for 5 seconds after you become invis, hack lasts a nano second, and while 6v6 is implemented and you still have a nano second of hacked time with free immortalities/cleanses at no risk from babyproof auto-aim healers who have 500 hp and can easily output more damage than Sombra. I rarely play anymore even when friends ask me to.
No character should have perma invis in the first place.
That's why i quit overwatch as well. Some characters just get taken care of while others like genji are ignored.
D.va can wipe a whole team while genji announces his ult and might not even kill.
The best way to fix OW2 imo is just buff everyone's damage and let people kill each other. I can't stand that that a fight can go on for 5 minutes with no deaths. Too much effort and depending on the hero choice not much reward.
