Here I am, chillin watching Apple TV. Enjoying this Zac Efron movie and who do I see ???? I’m like this looks like Mike Gray…oh damn it is MIKE GRAY !!!. Congrats brother!!!
Me & my friend that I was living with at the time found his dad's old minolta back in 2008. We tried to learn all we could about iso, aperture, & shutter speed. During the pandemic, just like you, I bought a minolta x-700 to find that love I had for film. I'm definitely an amateur, but I'm down for the challenge. I just worked on 2 movies a few months ago in NY & had 1 roll of cinestill800t. I'm based in echo park & my house has one the most unique rooms in all of socal
A little late on this vid, but Fuji is the GOAT!! Great vid as always! Im also based in the LA area and would be honored to be a part of your challenge!
Would’ve love to do this challenge with you if I still lived in LA, I’m in Fresno which is 3 hours out but damn I just got a roll of Fuji pro 400h and I love the results! Can’t wait to get my hands on it soon! 🍊
Always an inspiration Mike! Greetings from Sweden, there isn't much representation here so you've been one of my main sources of inspiration and made me want to focus on shooting more poc and get a stronger connection to my roots
I highly recommended going with GFX100S (high megapixel/for AF speed) or 50SII (for the colors) and GF110mm (my favorite and best portrait lens ever), GF 45-100 (versatile), and GF20-35 (wide enough). GF45mm f/2.8 (characters) and GF50mm f/3.5 (affordable). Thank me later! I enjoyed your video!!
Loved the results Mike!! The shot at 2:16 is my favorite, its a much different angle and style of shot I’ve seen you get before and it came out sick! 🙌
Yooo I’ve had that issue with my Pentax 6x7 too, when the film stops advancing mid roll. Not sure why that happens. Good work though man, love how the images came out. 🔥
I would recomend the fuji xt-4 for an all around camera or the GFX 50 for medium format and high MP, also Im a LA base photographer and be down to be apart the Gray's challenge
Yo! I've had same issues with my Pentax 67, has anyone reached out with an anecdote? Mine probably due for CLA too, lol. I'm based in LA and love your videos. Would love to be part of Gray's challenge if you're still running it. Keep doin your thing bro
"Pentax let me down". ??? Dude, how old is that camera? No matter who made that, it's OLD! Those things happen, and we can't buy replacement since no new film cameras are being made. Except Leica of course...
Always such a great time shooting with you guys!! The photos came out amazing 😍
You're the truth sis!
Wow she was definitely giving us some Shelley Duvall vibes, she's stunning, awesome photos of her.
Thanks so much!
I love that the video edit is a gorgeous nod to Pro400H itself. Love.
Thank you!

The greatest Pentax run ever, nice acting sir! 👏😉

Love binging your videos man. I might trade in my rb67 for a Pentax 67. What lens do you use for portraits?
Thanks so much! I use the 90mm on the Pentax 67
Get the Fuji my man! The GFX 100s is the way to go but the 50S II isn't bad either.
